Hey guys! I just took a look on the Maximum Ride website and Maximum Ride: The Final Warning is slated for release on March 14! caterpillar, I'm so excited right now. They have the first two chapters on preview at maximumride.com if you wanna take a look.

I know Im excited too. And this will give me a chance to read a new book beside the ones I have been stuck reading over and over again.
I am curious on where the book is going to go though. And I wonder what happened to Max number 2?

it takes place in Antartica, and has to do with Global warming, and probably involves evil scientists. probably not max 2. but maybe. Just 2 weeks guys!!

Yeah I will be disapointed about Global warming part. I will probably like the book less if they are huge on it. Dang I hope it ain't got lots of that stuff in there.

Now now, it's an important issue. I'm glad James Patterson is addressing it. But, if it's got the Flock in it, saving the world and all, you know it's going to be good. I can't wait to hear what wit Max has to say in this one. I've always admired her for her cunning and rather blunt sense of humor.

I'll agree to that! He always seems to make something bad funny...(i don't mean that in a bad way...) the global warming is a little wierd for the book...but ohh well it should still be good...(at least i think so)

Few days left

When does it come out again? Was it Friday or today? I heard somebody say Friday, but when I went to the store on Friday, the book wasn't there.

I read it and Im just a little disapointed, one the global warming view messed it up for me but I also expect a little more covrege on the love between Max and Fang. There was some stuff in there but yeah I expected a hole lot more
Its still a good book though, even with the global warming and all but by far the worst in the series in my opinion.

agreed. i was highly dissapointed. seemed like they were setting it up for another. So much left unsaid, with the Voice, and the ending.....also, the UD? NO background on him....poor plot, the only merit to it was the characters were the ones we know and love. Other than that...... I hope they do another, seemed like he was using this as a stopgap measure between "Saving the world" and another, better one. I hope...

yeah they also didn't extend on the interperson relations withing the Flock. I was disipointed about that very much, what can I say Im a sucker for love storys. But it seemed shorter then the other too I haven't compared them yet but it did. He didn't get into the details he got into the other books with.
There is going to be more though I belive there will be seven or something like that....I might be wrong though

I was disappointed also. It's still a good book, but it definitely should have elaborated more about the relationships within and without the Flock. Also, the UD was not given any development whatsoever. What is he? Is he a survivor from the attack on Itex in Germany, a different evil corporate exec, or just a complete nutjob with a Plexiglas body that contained all the vital organs? I am happy, however, with the entries from Fang's Blog. It revealed a lot about his character, and I'm very happy that he's not as mysterious as he used to be. Now, granted, he is still very mysterious, but we got a peek into what he's really like on the inside. Frankly, I can't wait until the next book comes out and we get to hear more about Fang. Oh, and the snide remarks Max made to the UD during the auction. Haha, that is some of the wittiest comedy I have seen come out of her mouth in this entire series. I was literally rofl-ing.

EDIT: Also, why the spontaneous formation of new powers? Shouldn't these things happen slowly? And Rien, I agree with you. This one did seem shorter than the others.

yeah, considerably shorter. luckily it was only $12. and interesting. but no development for the UD. or much else. Maybe a fifth will come out pretty soon, or something, and this was stopgap, to satisfy us. or something. I hope your right about 7--that would be amazing. This one was lacking everything, relationships included.

the mutations could happen fast, i guess. no idea. But they didn't explain much about Iggy, and i won't say anymore for those who haven't read it. And their were some good ones, but in the third, between max and the Director, there were some equally good ones.

It over all was a disapointment, I reread it again to day and it looked as if he rushed in writing it.
Also y'all are right about the spntainious new powers. They really didn't have a point in the book. None of them really help them. they were pointless in a way, I just hope they are put to use.

They make no point though, Fangs was well pretty cool but useless never the less. Iggy's could be very helpfull when he is making bombs but other then that it did have much of a use but to make him feal better. Nudges would be awesome if it was USED!!!! She didn't use it or when she tried it wasn't the right time!!! Angles, well hers was....I don't know what to say about that maybe it will be usefull maybe not. Totals was well it was helpfull never the less for the rest of the flock on their travels. But really there was no real point to them.

I won't say anything about that comment, since this isn't the Conclave.

The fifth book will definitely be better, and I have a feeling it'll elaborate more about just where the UD came from and maybe put these seemingly-useless powers to work. But I just wish Mr. Paterson would stop giving Angel powers. She's creepy and powerful enough as it is.

most of us CAN actually read....but younger kids read them too. But that was the most dissapointing of them all. Just....bad. Yeah, lame name, no background for him--over half of a short book was about global warming.

wow, was i the only one who was even slightly satisfied with this book? i mean yes, very short(roughly 30 mins for me), angel is overpowered, no mention of max's hyperspeed, short on details, but its still a maximum ride book. its still good.

This book was such a let-down after the 2nd and 3rd one, It was the one I liked least out of the 4. that thing between Fang and the scientist *shivers*

Cool cover, story seems like another environmentally oriented one. Is Patterson ever writing these? They're nothing like his other books, ie, Cross.

Really? I think they're hilarious. Max is one of the funniest and most sarcastic characters I've ever seen in a book series.

Anyway...

Yeah, I think this one is going to be about global warming like the 4th one. (Apparently Max is supposed to save the world by stopping global warming.) I dunno though... I haven't gotten a chance to read the new one yet. Hopefully though... I'm at my g-parents house right now and my b-day is next Wednesday... I guess I know what I'm gonna ask for for my gift, lol!
