Eriel, the good ol' days. ~Requested by ILS~
~To my two friends on SF; i_luv_saphira and Star Gazer~
Eriel was twenty, which according to the elves was the silliest time of one's life. It was the time when the elves did all sorts of things. They were rebellious yet obedient. Some, who were rash from young, now were calm; others were the exact opposite. Yet one thing was common about them: They were not so willing to give up their childish habits, yet they did not want to be treated as a child. Eriel was no exception.
Eriel looked up at the night sky, a vast expense of black, poker dotted with stars. Red stars blue stars white stars, all were there that night. Far away, nearer to Ellesmera, a dim red glow emanated from it. The trees swayed and bent without the aid of the wind, the very rhythm of joy, laughter and celebration floated throughout the forest, the animals were no where to be found, all were at the celebration, singing in their own languages the same song the elves were. She descended from the hill she often climbed as a child and ran towards the glow. It was her first time attending an Agaenti Bloodhren celebration and she was not about to miss it.
As soon as she entered the clearing, the very magic which was in the air infiltrated her mind. She only thought about the celebration and gave no heed to anything else around her. So this is what dad meant when he said I wasn't ready.
She thought to herself with regret for she could not break free from the enchantment of joy that was placed upon her. It soon vanished though, as the enchantment overpowered her. She climbed up a tree where most of her friends were. They were giggling away as she climbed up the rope. “Hey girls what’s so funny?” She asked in mock innocence, for she could already see the guy they were giggling about. “Hey Eriel get up here.” One of her friends said through bursts of laughter. “Quiet! He’s staring at us!” The others hissed into her ear. Eriel suppressed a laugh which was mounting up inside of her. “Well girls I agree he is rather… charming…” She said with a dreamy look on her eyes which sparked off another round of giggling. One of them laughed. “Well how long are we going to stand here? Let’s go down, ask for his name and residence before the were-light completely goes out and he’s back to his old self.” She said with a slight blush. “Jess! You aren’t thinking of taking a mate so soon are you? I mean come on! You’re barely twenty!” Eriel asked with surprise. Jess shrugged it off. “Oh come on Eriel, You should know me well enough by now to figure out I’m not like that.” She paused to let the words sink in. “Well, I’m going even if you girls aren’t.” With that, she hopped off the branch and strode calmly towards the man, “My goodness, she’s actually doing it!” One of Eriel’s friends shook her head in disapproval. “That guy looks too much like a werecat.”
The celebration came to an end and the elves dispersed. Eriel was content and believed that to be one of the best Agaenti Bloodhren’s she would have for the next millennium. Eriel froze on the way back to her village as a blood curdling scream rang throughout the forest. “Jess.” A thought screamed in her head. She heard a howl, not as sharp as the scream but it sounded evil and it caused her to run as fast as she could back towards her village. She shut the door and bolted it as soon as she entered her house.
In bed that night, the words of her friend rung in her ears. “He looks too much like a werecat.” Eriel shook her head sadly and fell into a deep sleep plagued with nightmares of her friend.
~Well how was that? It's not the best I probably ever make but it certainly was fun writing it!~

~Chapter 2~
Eriel awoke to find her parents standing over over her. Their ususally calm faces now were filled with concern. They heaved a sigh of relief as they saw Eriel awaken. "Eriel, we need to tell you something." Her mom said quietly. Eriel's brows met in a frown. "Jess is.-" "Dead. Isn't she?" Eriel cut her mother off. Eriel's parent's mouths dropped in surprise. "Yes, and we don't want you running off-" "Its too late mom. I've already decided to." Eriel's dad frowned. "That wouldn't be wise darling." Eriel's eyes turned dark green. "I will do as I please in this matter." She jumped out of bed, changed into her robe, grabbed her weapons and ran out of the village.
Eriel stopped by a nearby stream. Her talent in magic and archery had all ready been recognised in her's and the neighbouring villages. She picked afew berries and ate them. She took a quick bath in the stream and resumed hunting the werecat.
She climbed up a tree just during sunset and sang the tree into a bed. She sighed and lay down on it, remembering her village, her friends and most of all, her parents and Jess. She sighed deeply and fell asleep.
It was a cool morn. The sun was not completely up. Its golden rays fell on Eriel and awoke her from her slumber. As she decended, her ears picked up the harsh war cries of urgals and kull. Eriel frowned and strung her bow. Before she had gone afew paces, the kull emerged from the trees. One said in a gruff voice. "Well look here. An elf, female and young. She'll be easy." With that, he charged her, axe raised above his head, ready to strike, his chest completely vulnerable to Eriel's arrows. With a Twang and a Zip The kull fell dead with two arrows sticking out of his abdomen and a surprised look on his face. The other kull bellowed deeply and charged at her, all of them now guarded themselves extensively. If they had borne shields that time Eriel would not have lived. "Fools..." She thought to herself and used magic to send the arrows past the kulls' guard and into their hearts. It was not enough to stop them though, for in afew moment, they were too close for archery. Eriel drew her sword quickly. Her arms trembled as she blocked or dodged blow after blow after blow. The kull were relentless, they attacked without mercy. Eriel was so intent on the kull she did not noticed one sneak up behind her till it was too late. The kull thrust his spear into her thigh, causing her to scream in pain.
Blood poured down the wound as the mage removed his spear. Eriel fell to her knees in defeat. She looked up in time to see a glint of steel among the trees. "Rangers..." She thought to herself with relief as a steel barbed arrow embedded itself in the head of the lead kull. More arrows came flying. None of the kull could touch them for they were too high up and none of them could touch her for they were too busy fending off the attack. All but one. The mage grinned evily as he casted a spell on Eriel's thigh, causing her to writhe on the ground in pain as it burned with an intense heat. She passed out within seconds.

~Chapter 3~
Eriel woke up back in her bed at home. 'Ugh..have I been dreaming?' She shook her head as the rubbed against her left thigh. She screamed as she brushed against it, waking up the nearby vilaggers and her mother who came rushing into her room. They were speechless as Eriel drew her knees up to her chest and burried her head in it.
"Eriel..." Her mother started. Eriel sighed. "Leave me alone mom." Erian sat down beside her daughter. "There there, it's okay. Go back to sleep, I'll take you up in time for dinner." She said, purposely leaving out her daughter's defiant behaviour afew days ago. Eriel nodded sadly and placed her blanket over her head. Erian sighed and went back into her room where she fell into a dreamless sleep.
Eriel woke up in the afternoon. The sun had set a little and she noticed several vilage children looking at her from her window. She smiled lightly as they cried out with joy, holding each other's hands and dancing around her house. Eriel father was in the village square teaching some of the older elves how to use a sword in combat; her mother was in the archery range, dazzling the audiences with her skill with the bow. A man stood up and presented Eriel's mother with something yellow and shiny, when her mother lifted it up, Eriel knew she had won gold again. Eriel laugehd with joy and changed into her robe, careful to avoid brushing the wound which had just closed but was still very sore to the touch. 'I wonder what's to eat... I'm starving.' With that thought, she headed off for the market where she ate a light snack of berries and went over to her archery range made for her by her mother's mother when she was a toddler, Eriel felt a fuzzy feeling within her as she remembered her, her archery was not quite as good as her mother's but it drew alot of 'wows' from the elves who watched her.
Eriel passed most of her days in comfort until her mother died of an illness, since then, she vowed to become a better archer than her mother and to take up close-combat lessons from her father.

Re: Eriel, the good ol' days. ~Requested by ILS~
~Chapter 4~
Eriel was twenty-five when she finally surpassed her mother. Eriam had only managed to hit a bull's eye every seven out of ten tries but Eriel was now able to hit it eight out of ten tries and occationally, nine. Eriel was absolutely delighted at her skill with the bow and after afew days of boasting, she approuched her father to teach her sword fighting.
"No, I will not, not will I allow anybody to teach you close-combat. Its just too dangerous for someone like you, cut out for far-range combat." Earist said simply. "But dad! I'm no longer a kid! And if I am to survive out there alone, I need more than just my bow and magic!" Eriel protested. "Exactly why you don't need it. You're not leaving this village alone. You will either have a dragon, or a mate before I let you." Earist said simply. Eriel flushed with anger at her father's words, she drew the short-sword at her side and lunged at her father, who blocked the blow with his right vambrace. Eriel frowned and twisted the blade and attempted to place its tip on her dad's neck, only to get a blade behind her left shoulder, her father no longer infront of her, but behind. "Eriel, if you want to learn so badly, then why didn't you ask?" "But dad! I di-" "Don't argue Eriel. Now, if you want to learn, place your sword's blade on any vital spot of my body. And when you have done that, give me a bruise on my body." Eriel frowned. 'My own dad is toying with me...' She shifted her blade and turned attempting to place it on her father's neck. With a clash of steel, her father blocked it and pushed her back with a fluid motion, he then swept his blade upwards to her neck. "You're being too direct Eriel. A good swordsman is never direct." He admonished her. Eriel shook her head and tried again for another sixteen times before she finally landed a hit on her father's chest, her father's guard her up, defending his neck, then she punched him on his chest. He looked down in surprise, then looked up and saw a setting sun. "Well dad, keep your promise."Eriel looked at him happily. Earist sighed. "I see I can't protect you like this anymore. Very well. First, your stance is very important..."
And they went on like this for the next few days. Perfecting stances, sword strokes, spotting flaws in an opponent's defence, defending against a powerful attack by using the attacker's own weapon against him.
Eriel laughed as she visited her dad in little corner in her house afew days later. "So dad, when are we going to-" Just then, a horn blowed. It was no ordinary horn, it was a horn that signalled the approuch of hostile beings. This time, it was kull and urgals. Leading the vanguard was a Raz'zac. Immediately, the children and those below forty were sent into hiding. The elves stood in rows facing them. Archers were taking aim between each swordsman's head. Arrows flew thick and fast, blood was everywhere, both red, and black. Afew hours passed until the horn sounded again and those who went into hiding came out of their places of refuge.
Eriel let out a cry as she noticed her father lying on the ground, his body so badly hurt she could barely recognise him. Tears fell from her eyes and she gazed upon her father, teacher and playmate when she was younger. Around her, children were weeping, the injured moaning, some survived, others did not, and Earist was one of them. Eriel stayed in the village for awhile before moving away amidst the protests and pleas of the villagers.
"The stone of the broken eggs, how... intriguing." She said to herself as she traced the outline of a green dragon egg. Before she knew it, faint cracks appeared on the egg's surface. Soon, Eriel was certain it was hatching as a green foot stuck out of a hole. Then, a beautiful hatchling emerged from its shell and stared as Eriel who was mersmerized by it. Almost with knowing, she reached out with her hand and touched the hatchling. She screamed as fire raced up her hand, her right palm tingled lightly. Birds around her flew away quickly, leaving her alone with the hatchling.

~Chapter 5~
Eriel sat on the ground panting. Her right palm had a huge scar, the type she saw in books about dragon riders. She breathed deeply and saw the hatchling looking at her with emerald eyes that shone in the stars and soft scales the same color as her eyes.
Eriel looked at her dragon with curiosity and love. She felt it with every beat of her heart. She gently scooped the hatchling into her arms and turned fuzzy as she purred gently. All of a sudden, it stopped. The hatchling looked around with a look of anger in her eyes. She spoke to Eriel breifly. Step aside my rider, while i crush that elven settlement. She growled lowly and was about to jump off when Eriel caught hold of her with magic.
"Do not take out your vengence on the elves, for that is what I am, and they did not do this." Eriel added the last part shakily. "Take out your revenge on Galbatorix, who destroyed your home and crushed the heads of your kindred." The hatchling roared in anger. I will find him, and when I do, I will tear him limb from limb! It seemed to Eriel that as the hatchling said that, her wings grew larger and her talons sharper. "Well then, I shall call you Emrhyst. And you shall be my dragon." She said the last part with pride, for she was now sure Emrhyst had chosen her. The hatchling nuzzled against Eriel happily. "I am glad to have chosen you as my rider." She said that before falling asleep on Eriel's lap.
Eriel laughed. "Stenr Moi!" She whispered into the air and laid down in the cave she had made. She placed Emrhyst next to her and fell asleep, unaware that other elves were watching her every move.

Re: Eriel, the good ol' days. ~Requested by ILS~
Why thank you! ~Chapter 6~ The elves around her tensed. They were unsure of this new rider and was not about to let her walk away free from the cave. They waited for afew hours, then struck.
They crept in silently and stopped as Emrhyst purred. They inched closer to Eriel, unaware that she was an elf, and so was completely alert even as she slept. As the lead elf stood beside her, he raised his spear in a stabbing position. Eriel's eyes flung open as he stabbed her thigh, causing her to grit her teeth in anger. Emrhyst roared in her high pitched voice and tore at the lead elf with her claws while Eriel removed the spear. With a frown, she drew the sword at her side and stabbed the lead elf in his abdomen.
Emrhyst crawled back to her rider as the elf attempted to punch her. When Eriel tried to strike again, the other elves had their spears on her throat. The lead elf stared at Eriel. "Search her." Emrhyst growled a warning and yelped as one of the elves threw a chain about her neck. With unerring accuratecy, the elves disarmed her. The lead elf walked forward. With an enraged voice she spoke to the elves. "Your hospitality has lessened of late elves of Ellesmera." Without answering her question the elf turned to his men. "Bring the rider and dragon back to the city. I'm sure the queen would love to learn of this new rider." Hr smirked at her and walked off after healing his wound.

Re: Eriel, the good ol' days. ~Requested by ILS~
~Chapter 7~
Eriel groaned as she was forced to kneel before Islanzadi. Emrhyst growled in anger at the elves. Let us go elf! We have done nothing wrong to your people. When they laughed Emrhyst roared in anger. Let us go! She growled so fiercely the elves stopped laughing. Eriel smiled at her dragon and was about to speak when an elf slapped her with the back of his hand. She glared at him but held her tongue nonetheless as the elf from before began to speak.
"My queen, this woman here has stolen a dragon egg from the Stone of the Broken Eggs and killed this young dragon's intended ri-" He could not finish as Emrhyst roared again and whacked him hard with her tail spike. Liar! I chose Eriel of my free will and nothing you say will ever change that! Eriel frowned. The elf was about to speak again when Islanzadi's voice boomed across the throneroom.
"Enough, obviously this woman here is the dragon's intended rider or she would not defend her so fiercely. And you." She turned to the elf who cringed as her piercing gaze fell upon him. "You are a renegade who has caused me nothing but trouble since I took the throne. Now, release the rider and dragon and clap this... Fool into the chains that bound those he harmed." The elf stammered. "M..M.My queen! What they say are lies!" His words fell on deaf ears though, as the queen was already discussing with Eriel about her training.
"...Of course we will stay here right Emrhyst?" Eriel asked with humor in her voice. Emrhyst flew a little and landed. Of course we will! But the food here better be good. She added as her stomach rumbled. Islanzadi laughed. "If its good you want, its food you shall have and more young dragon. I have prepared a house for you near the outskirts of the city." Eriel bowed deeply and walked out with Emrhyst tailing her, her eyes looking around with childish curiosity.
After afew minutes of walking, they came to a vacant two storied house, the stairs leading up to it were of the same colour of wood as the tree that supported it. Eriel whistled happily. "We're finally here." Eriel studied the treehouse's exterior with her dragon. Emrhyst snorted with delight as she noticed a special entrance for her on the side of the house that led directly to her bedroom. Eriel watched her dragon with humour and climbed the stairs, paying great attention to the intricate carvings on the tree and rail.
Eriel sighed happily as she reached the top. It was perfect, an air of calm invaded her senses as she entered the house. A spacious room complete with a mini archery range and a dining set greeted her. Emrhyst squealed in delight as she lay on the velveted cushions provided for her in Eriel's room. Soo.. soft... She said dreamily as she rubbed her head against it. Eriel looked at her bed in sheer delight. Oak and willow made up most of her bed which overlooked the northern part of the forest, its mattress and pillows were, like Emrhyst's cushions, velveted and very silky. Eriel sighed in contentment as she lay on her bed. She closed her eyes in peace for the first time in weeks since she left home.

Re: Eriel, the good ol' days. ~Requested by ILS~
~Chapter 8~
Eriel awoke as a sunbeam struck her face crosswise, illuminating the entire house with a reddish orange glow. Eriel sighed and sat up, watching the northern forest in all its glory. After afew minutes of thinking, she changed into more appropriate attire for her hunting trip in afew hours, it was then when she realised a tray of food for her and afew strips of fresh meet with wards around it to prevent the blood from leaking out. Eriel laughed softly. 'The things magic can do these days.' Then, she placed her mouth near Emrhyst's ear.
"Wake up sleepy-head!" She screamed into it, causing her young dragon to jolt up in panic. Eriel laughed as Emrhyst growled at her. Eriel... Eriel laughed. "Come on Emrhyst, eat up the meat." Emrhyst immediately forgot her anger as the words entered her ears. Oh sweet beautiful meat! Food! She screamed into Eriel's mind as she finished removing the wards. As Emrhyst took a bite, she smiled. All the blood still in there, tasty... Eriel mounted her dragon after they had finished and flew into the air.
Such peace...Eriel thought to herself as Emrhyst sped through the air. The snow-capped mountains of the Beors to the far south, a vast plain of snow and sand to the north and south respectively. Another mountain range to the west, complete with a waterfall, and a forest buzzing with life below them. Eriel soon spied a column of smoke to the east. Without a word from both parties, Emrhyst sped towards it. Soon, Eriel could see a dim red glow that spoke of a fire, then, buildings could be seen. Finally, she caught sight of several kull gathered around a huge bonfire, within it, the bodies of elves.
Eriel's eyes grew black as Emrhyst landed. The Kull quickly formed a circled around the two. The largest, ugliest, and, to Eriel, the leader, stepped forwards and halted afew paces infront of Eriel, who had dismounted. In a rough and proud voice, he said, "Leave elf, lest you join your kinsmen in the bonfire." The kull's breath trickled over Eriel's neck as he spoke, even though the distance between them was rather great. Eriel shuddered as he spoke but nonetheless said, "Leave? Why should I? You kill and burn down this town, and you expect me to leave? I think not." She said rather shakily. The kull around her laughed as she said this. The lead Kull smirked at her. "Very well elf, you have made your choise." With a grunt he withdrew back to his comrades. Before her entered the lines though, her turned with his horns facing her, and performed a jabbing action with it. Emrhyst shuddered. Uh-oh
The Kull started to advance, each waving their weapons in the air in the process. Eriel frowned as she blocked blow after blow, her eyes growing blacker as the minutes ticked by. No matter how many she slew, more came to take its place. Emrhyst roared and used her tail to take out groups of Kull at once. The kull withdrew for awhile and Eriel was left standing beside her dragon with an axe on her left arm. She winced and stifled a cry as she pulled it out and threw it on the floor. Her turned dark green as the advanced again, jeering at her. She was about to kill another when a Kull hit her throat with a mail backed glove, causing her to scream in pain.
Her eyes were black.
Die was the word she uttered as she shattered the kull's shield with a poweful swing and decapitated him, all within the space of fifteen seconds. She uttered no word and no cry of pain and she slew kull after kull, sustaining a level of speed and ferocity that stunned both the kull and herself, for she had accumulated a large number of wounds, deep and shalow. Her eyes now had small dark green flames growing on its sides. Finally, one was left standing, Emrhyst stood behind her rider, scales torn and scratched. Eriel's sword was scratched in many places and was dented at the hilt, her robe was rent with gashes, her left arm was broken and her forehead burned intensely with a fever. Adrenalin pumped through her as she jumped over the kull and did a mid-air slash at his back. The kull groaned in pain and faced Eriel, only to be stabbed in the gut by her sword. Eriel collasped on top of him as he fell, her pupils now barely visible as the flames licked over it.
Eriel? No response. [/i]Eriel?![/i] Emrhyst's heart clouded with anxiety and her mind with wory. We better get you back to Ellesmera. With much shoving, she got her badly injured rider onto her back. Hang on Eriel.

~Chapter 9~
Emrhyst started to tire as she fed her rider energy to keep breathing while flying at top speed towards Ellesmera. Eriel was groaning in her fever and occationally throwing her arms above her head as if to defend against a powerful blow.
Emrhyst looked at her rider worridly and sighed in relief as Ellesmera came into view. The elves looked at Emrhyst, then Eriel as they landed. Emrhyst was carrying Eriel by her robe using her teeth, dragging her towards the doctors. As she reached them, she collasped.
The doctors looked at Eriel for a second then lost no time. They quickly sang a stretcher out of a nearby tree and carried her to a cleaner location where they started cleaning her wounds. Eriel groaned as they did that. Her darker side was dominant now and her usual self, she had lost to her anger. She deeply regretted it as the doctors started to heal her wounds.
Emrhyst woke up and saw her rider sleeping peacefully on a bed, though covered with bandages in places the doctors couldn't heal completely as they were too deep. She sighed and nudged her rider with anxiety. Eriel? Her rider groaned and sat up. She placed a palm to her temple and immediately recalled the fighting. She got a mirror and looked at her eyes. Light green, good. She thought to herself and then turned to her dragon. Yes Emrhyst, I'm alright. She smiled as Emrhyst licked her face. Don't you ever scare me like that again! She said with a mock glare. Eriel laughed. You can be sure I won't Emrhyst rumbled deep in her throat and breathed some fire onto the nearby candle. Eriel looked at her dragon in awe. How Emrhyst? You're only four months! Emrhyst smirked. I'll leave that to you find out. In the mean time, rest, we wil be starting our training soon. She said with a groan and laid down on her cushion, as soon as she did, she immediately rubbed her head against it. Soo... Soft...

Re: Eriel, the good ol' days. ~Requested by ILS~
~Chapter 10~ Double digits!
Eriel awoke as she heard a knock on the door. She yawned and opened it, to her surprise, she saw a very ancient rider staring up at her and his dragon below. He smiled at her. "Make ready, I will meet you in the training fields in half an hour." He said this then closed the trap door. Eriel yawned again and washed her face in a bowl of water then changed into her robe.
"Emrhyst... wake up..." She said softly, when she didn't Eriel shook her. "Wake up Emrhyst." Eriel smiled in satisfaction as Emrhyst got up on her feet and yawned profusely. Five more minutes Eriel... She muttered and was about to fall back onto the cushion as Eriel grabed her by the scoff, with great effort of course. Her rider stared at her. "Wake up." Eriel frowned as she saw her eyelips drooping. "Awake." She said in the Ancient Language. Emrhyst growled at her rider. No fair! You used magic! That's no fun now! She looked at her rider with eyes that seemed to burst into tears, even though she was laughing inside, and since both of them were connected so deeply, Eriel laughed too. "Okay Emrhyst, we're meeting our teacher in... twenty minutes so hurry up!"
After much shouting, Eriel finally got onto Emrhyst's back and was off to the training grounds.
~This is a short one, writer's block.~

Re: Eriel, the good ol' days. ~Requested by ILS~
~Chapter 11~
Emrhyst landed infront of a huge white dragon and his rider, whose posture bespoke of strength and wisdom.
Eriel twisted her hand and bowed low, Emrhyst lowered her head. Their mentors looked at them approvingly and for the first time spoke. "Welcome to Ellesmera Eriel and Emrhyst." The rider started and then continued as he sensed the shock within them. "The queen has told us your names, you have no need to be surprised." He laughed as Emrhyst looked at him, dumb-stricken. He seems kinda... She was cut off as the dragon glared at her. Eriel laughed. 'Hold your tongue Emrhyst.'
The rider (Whose name I still have to think off. Suggestions are welcome.) mounted his dragon and spoke to Eriel. "Come, we have much to do." and then flew off towards the north. Eriel sighed and mounted Emrhyst. "Their kinda weird..." She told Emrhyst quietly, who nodded approvingly.
As she landed, she found her mentor weilding a blade of white. She dismounted and drew her own blade, reading his thoughts. Her mentor nodded at her then advanced. As he drew closer, Eriel tensed. Emrhyst laughed. Relax, he's not gonna kill you. Eriel laughed inwardly and parried a heavy blow from him, using some of her dragon's strength. She smiled up at him then did a wide uppercut, forcing her rider to take afew steps back. Before she knew it, she advanced then circled her mentor, trying to find a flaw in his defence. She leapt forwards and brought her blade down on the rider's head. What she saw next astounded her. He dodged the blow and placed the tip of his blade on her Abdomen while catching her with magic then removing the blade. "Counter that spell young rider."
Eriel frowned then started countering the spell, using her mother's lessons to help. Afew minutes passed without a thing happening. Eriel started feeling faint, then drew energy from her dragon. And in afew seconds, she applied all her strength onto the bonds, breaking the enchantment laid upon her. She smiled as she felt ground under her feet again. Her mentor laughed. "Good, we will continue tomorrow, in the mean time, go back and celebrate, you're the first elf who ever managed to break my spell so quickly. Although, I must say, you need to brush up on your close combat abilities." He said with a smile then mounted his dragon and flew away, leaving Eriel with Emrhyst.
"Did that just happen?" I'm quite sure it did. "Hm... Come, I wanna rest." Emrhyst laughed then took off as her rider mounted.

Re: Eriel, the good ol' days. ~Requested by ILS~
OOC: Okay, I'm going to skip all the way till she's 116, when she FINALLY leaves Ellesmera.
~Chapter 12~
IC: Eriel sighed happily as she looked at her sword. It was perfect with a blade that had a tinge of green and a concealed ruby in it. Emrhyst snorted happily as she tried her saddle, bags attached to it a two bells on the rear left corner of it.
A familiar voice came. "You are now ready and can now consider yourself a rider." Eriel smiled at her mentor, who had had her do useful things like forming the water in a brook into different shapes and using them to cut and to shield, and stupid things like sweeping the floor with a toothbrush. She smiled wider. "My dear mentor, I think I owe you something." Eriel started forming a ball of water in her palm. "What's that?" He asked, not expecting what Eriel was about to do. Eriel relaxed then grinned wider. "This." With that, she hurled the ball at his face, producing a dull Thunk as it collided with his skull. Emrhyst snorted in amusement as Eriel's mentor rubbed his nose. Well, I guess that settles it. Let us be off. Emrhyst laughed. Her mentor grinned, "Well, good luck to you both, visit us once in awhile, and don't forget the really really boring islands of Vroengard which contains many really really boring AND old scrolls for you to train your skills." Eriel laughed. "I won't." Emrhyst grinned then took off, ready to take up the mantle of the dragon riders.
OOC: Wewt, okay, now the fun begins, I've finally gotten her out of Ellesmera and her mentor's watchful gaze...

Re: Eriel, the good ol' days. ~Requested by ILS~
~Chapter 13~
Eriel sighed softly. The world below them passed them by, the heat of the desert was quickly losing its potency and the air around them turning ice cold. Emrhyst looked back at her rider and smiled.
They were in the middle of the Hadarac desert, a long way from home, and longer still from the dwarves. Eriel looked down. They were alone. No sign of animal life. Those who were nocturnal had not come out yet, and Eriel wanted to make it across the desert without encountering them. Now, however, it seemed inevitable that the two of them would have to spend the night.
Eriel looked down. Emrhyst guessed her rider's thoughts quickly and landed, the bowed her legs to let her rider dismount. Eriel looked at Emrhyst. She was larger, and it was nigh impossible to relate to that cute little ball of fur many years ago. She smiled and pitched tent.
Emrhyst looked at it when they were done. It was not perfect, but it would serve. She roared softly curled up outside the tent. Eriel sighed and reached into the animal's minds, using the ancient language to keep them from attacking. When she was done, she pulled up the blankets and shut her eyes.

Re: Eriel, the good ol' days. ~Requested by ILS~
~Chapter 14~ 'Trouble much?'
Eriel awoke with a start. She felt something near... The air was full of malice, and it seemed, that malice too was the air. Eriel buckled on her sword and walked out, her ears twitched as she caught the sound of an arrow. She pivoted on her right heel, using the momentum to jump to the right as an arrow grazed her ear. She groaned then drew her sword mid-air, blocking another arrow, before she recovered from the recoil, another arrow thudded in her right shoulder, and then another in her right foot and left hip.
She was pinned to the ground by her own foot, her stronger hand disabled, and incapacitated by pain radiating from her hip. Eriel groaned softly, feeling like sleeping. "Poison..." She said softly. 'Cowards.' She thought. "Show yourself!" She shouted as a bush rustled. A man walked out, holding his head high, the crest of a house of man was on his hauberk, his gloves studded with gold gems, his locks were kept and styled as a noble in those days did. He smirked at the elf. Eriel frowned and felt her vision blur. The man walked up to her and whispered in her ear. "Good night little one, sleep tight..." He trailed off with disgusting words which would make even the stoutest female in the world feel threatened.
Emrhyst roared at the top of her voice. Get away from my rider! She screamed and lashed out at him with her tail, almost immediately, a volley of arrows came from behind a rock, and a battalion of archers showed themselves. Emrhyst's eyes widened, she hit aside the captain with her talons and knocked the arrows aside with her tail. Eriel finally shut her eyes, unable to withstand the poison and pain any longer. Emrhyst fared worse, as arrows flew her way, battering her wings and nose with deadly barbed points.
The man smirked as Emrhyst fell and carried Eriel away, he placed her on his back, bound her hands and feet with ropes, plucked out the arrows and walked back to his men. He grinned widely in triumph. "Tonight men, we get entertainment!" Emrhyst looked up weakly as the archers raised their voices then slumped her head on the ground. Eriel opened her mind, grimacing at the man's thoughts.

Re: Eriel, the good ol' days. ~Requested by ILS~
~Chapter 15~ Serves him right! *Humph!*
Eriel's eyes opened as she was thrown roughly on the ground, men above her, jeering at her, some throwing rude remarks. Eriel turned away depressed, knowing that this was the dreaded clan of wolves, their leader, Crestor was ruthless, and his men were worse, 'taking turns' with women they caught.
Emrhyst groaned softly, her head thudded dully with a jolt she remembered her rider. Eriel! She cried and flew off to her rider using their link.
"I want a go with her! She's cute..." one said and the rest laughed. "Not in a million years my friend, she's mine, and as your superior, I order you to give her to me." A sergeant butted in. The men roared. With shouts of "Yeah right." and "Why should we?" permeating the air. They were close to a brawl when Crestor stepped in and raised his hand. "This lady is mine." The men drew their swords and Crestor raised his hand again, "You can have her after I'm done." The men roared an cheered.
Emrhyst neared the camp and slew afew soldiers, leaving each of them with a death message. You have hurt my rider, and now, you die. She said softly to the last one.
Eriel groaned as she was hoisted onto the shoulders of Crestor, he pushed her down on the bed and fumbled with her robe. Eriel glared at him as he finally got it off. He grinned widely. Eriel glowered at him as he kissed her neck then mumbled softly, "Blodhren Brisingr." Immediately Crestor yelped back as he felt his blood burn, literally. Eriel glared at him. "I've waited a long, long time for this..." Emrhyst crashed through the roof, seething with anger at her rider's state. She roared for the first time in awhile. Crestor cringed. Eriel quickly clothed herself and and fetched her weapons from a pile of bows then returned to see Emrhyst holding down a topless Crestor. Eriel glared at him. "So ends the life of one of the greatest tyrants of the era, and the only one, who had the audacity to try violate an elf." Crestor gasped in shock. " An elf! But..." He was cut off as Eriel and Emrhyst thrust their weapons through him.
Emrhyst looked worridly at her rider. You kay? Did he... uh... Eriel grinned. "No... he didn't. Don't worry." Emrhyst sighed softly. Good to know, let's get out of here I don't particularly like this place...
As Eriel mounted her dragon, a battalion of spearmen surrounded them. Emrhyst roared at them.

Re: Eriel, the good ol' days. ~Requested by ILS~
~Chapter 16~ Away from me!
Eriel glared the the spear men, letting her anger rise and her eyes turn dark green. She dismounted and hooked her right leg over her left, palm at abdominal level and her blade held with the hilt against the bottom of her hand near her chest. It was a complicated stance, even in practice but it suited Eriel perfectly as it had to be used with magic, as such, it was named the mage's stance back in Ellesmera, and it was one of the two stances Eriel had mastered.
Immediately after she had positioned her blade, she lit her boots aflame and wrapped ice around her free hand. The men stepped back, knowing finally that they were dealing with a rider, and a very, very angry one at that.
Foolishly, they rushed at the twain, spears outstretched. Eriel turned and smacked aside a spear with her left foot while widening the distance from her chest to blade and then slit the man's throat swiftly such that her left hand was now in front of her and her sword-arm at her neck. Emrhyst reared on her hind legs and used her tail and claws to smack spear shafts aside, then using fire to kill the soldiers.
Eriel jumped as a group of spear men jabbed at her. She winced as one grazed her arm then landing on the shafts, she knelt and swung at the men, killing two while the rest drew back and jabbed again, catching Eriel on her hip, which was still sore from the arrow. Eriel groaned and clutched the shaft with her iced hand then broke it. As she turned to strike a cluster of spear men brought their spear shafts down. Eriel quickly placed her sword above her head, wincing as the force of the blow brought her on a knee. A few of the spear men raised their spears, points towards Eriel's body and jabbed.
Eriel flinched as she felt the spears enter her, she coughed out blood, and lots of it. Emrhyst roared in pain and swept aside the men near her. Eriel frowned and looked at them in the eye, they flinched when they saw her eyes lit aflame. "Get... Away... From me!" Eriel shouted as the ball of wind formed around her, driving the spears out of her body. Emrhyst brought her claws down on a man, then let Eriel climb on before flying off towards the Beor mountains which were very close by now. She looked back and saw the archers assemble and let loose a volley of arrows which mostly glanced off the ball of wind around Eriel and Emrhyst's scales. Emrhyst turned away as the men roared in anger then returned to their tents.
As for Eriel, her anger had subsided, and the pain of her wounds returned to her. She cut off the connection with Emrhyst and lay on Emrhyst's neck.

Re: Eriel, the good ol' days. ~Requested by ILS~
~Chapter 17~ The dwarves, nice hone, bad welcoming committee
Eriel groaned weakly, still recovering from the trauma and pain she had sustained. Her robe and cape were badly stained with her blood, and she had multiple abrasions. Eriel slowly moved her hand to her hip and started healing the wounds, swaying with pain, Emrhyst looked at her rider and licked her face then landed outside a waterfall. Eriel dismounted, but as soon as she put her foot down, a bolt of pain raced up her leg. Eriel gasped loudly as she lay on the floor, breathing heavily. Using magic, she managed to speak the words then shut her eyes.
Emrhyst roared and banged against the doors. She reared on her legs as a dwarf took out a long spear and jabbed at her eyes. Emrhyst growled at him. Move dwarf, and bring some healers with you, my rider is wounded , and gravely too. The dwarf laughed and jabbed Emrhyst's leg. Emrhyst howled and raked her claws down his spear, slicing it effortlessly. I will not repeat myself, get some healers here, now! She roared out the last word.
The dwarf backed away and entered the cave. Emrhyst curled her body round her rider. Eriel looked up at her dragon and grinned. Its been sometime since we've done this eh? The last time was when you hatched. Eriel smiled, feeling nostalgic all of a sudden. Emrhyst grinned and then roared at the dwarves who had come out armed with long spears and shields. Eriel looked at them wearily as they hurled insults at Emrhyst. Eriel glowered at them then drew her blade, using it as a crutch. She stood up slowly, letting her hair fall past her face, revealing pointed ears. The dwarves glared at Eriel. "Its an elf! What are we waiting for? Take her to the dungeons!" Eriel tensed. "No! Wait for orders! We can't take her down there yet! She's wounded, and she won't last a day in there in that condition." Another said. The dwarves murmured amongst themselves.
With steady strides Hrothgar, then still a general walked out and punched Eriel's abdomen. Eriel saw the blow coming but couldn't move then coughed out more blood as it hit her, she dripped blood slowly from her mouth, making it land on Hrothgar's glove. Eriel slowly grasped Hrothgar's bloodied wrist and pushed the hand away from her body. Hrothgar looked at the elf's face, her eyes seemed darker than before and a line of bright red blood trickled down her mouth, then he looked at his glove, knuckles stained red with blood, and there was blood on his wrist too. He started at Eriel and turned to his men, murmuring softly. "Take her to the healers, I've got a lot of questions for her... And it won't do in her condition." Emrhyst roared as they took her rider in then slipped in after the battalion went in and just before the gates shut.

Re: Eriel, the good ol' days. ~Requested by ILS~
~Chapter 18~ Memories...
The dwarves were skilled in healing, but not many of them could use magic, and to heal so many wounds alone was impossible. Eriel felt her vision blur, slowly but steadily. The dwarves yelped as Eriel's head hit the stone floor. They then summoned the healers who briskly brought her to the rooms where several dwarves or varying wounds lay. They quickly started the attempt to heal her.
Eriel looked around in her mind, all around her were scenes from the day before, the jeering, the wounds and her narrow escape. Eriel clutched her head as she knelt, overwhelmed by the pressure it exerted on her. She head herself saying something but couldn't quite make it out. Then all of a sudden, she felt herself screaming at some imaginary creature, or man, in her mind. Eriel looked back and saw nothing, she looked to the side and saw nothing again, then looked to the front, slowly, expecting anything to happen. Eriel started to breathe heavily, fear gripping her every time she heard a noise in the deep areas of her mind, heart thundering as she passed every dark corner.
The dwarves looked at Eriel suspiciously as she started to mumble something. They waited for awhile then resumed healing her.
Emrhyst stood outside the entrance to the rooms and melded her mind with Eriel's.
Eriel looked around, she nearly screeched as she saw Emrhyst. Emrhyst purred as Eriel hugged her. I thought they were going to kill you. Emrhyst whispered into her rider's ear. Eriel smiled weakly. "I don't think they will, I feel my body repairing itself at an extraordinary rate..." Emrhyst purred and rubbed her cheek against her rider's. It'll be alright Eriel... I'm outside the rooms now. She grinned. Eriel laughed, her fear already disappearing, she felt safe with Emrhyst around her.
Back outside Eriel's mind, Emrhyst was purring softly to herself.

OOC: I'm skipping forwards afew days.
~Chapter 19~ Awakening
Eriel awoke painfully and sat up. She noticed that she was clothed only in her night gown but didn't mind, she felt better than she had in awhile and was glad for it. Before she knew what was happening Emrhyst snaked her head in through the doors, wrapping her neck around Eriel's body and purring softly.
Eriel looked at Emrhyst with a smile and wrapped her arms around her neck, shutting her eyes slowly.
She opened her eyes as Hrothgar and a few dwarves entered the room. Hrothgar spoke to Eriel, "Welcome to Tronjheim elf, though we had given you the benefit of the doubt before, now, it is time to probe your thoughts." Eriel's eyes widened considerably. Hrothgar motioned to the dwarves who gently eased their way past Eriel's mind. Eriel groaned softly and clenched her fists as they rummaged through her memories, it was painful, yet Eriel knew it could've been worse, and for that, she was grateful.
When it was over, Eriel found her head considerably sore and painful, and the dwarves were mumbling amongst each other in their language. Eriel could pick up words like 'bed' and 'close shave' and knew immediately they were referring to the events that happened five days ago.
Before long, Hrothgar approached Eriel and stepped back as Emrhyst snarled at him, telling him not to take another step. Hrothgar groaned and then turned to Eriel. "You're trustworthy rider and I apologize for the... shall we call it, encounter a few days ago." Eriel frowned, memories of that punch coming back to her. Hrothgar continued. "And we have noted your prowess in archery." Eriel raised an eyebrow. "And would like you to train our archers." He ended softly. Eriel widened her eyes and smiled. Emrhyst grinned. Sure, but I like dwarf meat, you look espiecially tasty... Emrhyst bared her teeth. Hrothgar stepped back. Eriel laughed softly. "Come now Emrhyst, don't play with him." Emrhyst stopped and then withdrew. Hrothgar cleared his throat. "If you do that, we'll give you a quiver of arrows, their heads forged by our greatest smiths and their shafts of willow." Eriel grinned, seeking to replace her old quiver. "Very well, we have a deal." Eriel laughed softly as Hrothgar left the room. Emrhyst grinned. What a nice chap...

OOC: After seeing Aeraldi's posts I've decided to make my chapter alot longer... (I try at least)
~Chapter 20~ FRIENDS among friends
Emrhyst yawned. Good night... She said softly before falling onto the soft cushions provided for her. Eriel looked at her dragon with a laugh then wore her robe. She looked at her room, or bed chamber as the dwarves called it. With a grin she took her bow from an intricate wooden rack, specially made for her which held her armor, sword, dagger and quiver. As she turned to leave the room, Eriel took a look at her dragon, who was already snoring away. She smiled and said a soft good night before shutting the door silently behind her.
Eriel looked at the open space before her, the sun was shining its rays from a massive crack in the stone wall, giving the place an orange tint. A group of dwarves were waiting for her at the end of the field, looking somewhat nervous and fingering their bows anxiously.
Eriel looked at the dwarves who were practicing in the fields. Eriel winced as she saw one hit another's head with a powerful blow, making the dwarf's head bleed a lot, and apparently, curse too.
Eriel turned towards the dwarves in front of her. "Good morning." She said loud enough for the group of twelve to hear. The dwarves mumbled a few intelligible words. Eriel sighed and lined them up in front of twelve targets, one target to a dwarf. "Shoot." The air was filled with the sound of arrows flying, mostly hitting grass, only a few hit straw. Eriel groaned and got them to shoot again, looking away as she got the same results. She shook her head and went to each one of the dwarves, giving each one of them very basic advice, things as basic as, 'Point the arrow a little above the target', 'Pull the string to your cheek' and 'Keep your arm straight' They fired again, a little more hitting straw now. Eriel sighed and continued till the dwarves started to complain. "Okay... Thats enough..." She said softly as the sun started to set. The dwarves muttered amongst themselves. "Who is she to tell us what to do..." One said. The others nodded their heads furiously. "Yeah! How do we know she's actually good at this?" Another shouted.
Eriel twitched her ears and frowned then walked over to them, took an arrow and shot it in one fluid motion, not even looking as it hit the bullseye, leaving dwarves with their jaws dropping. Eriel sighed softly and returned to her room.
Eriel looked at Emrhyst, still sleeping. "Tired?" She looked at her dragon, stroking her neck softly. "You must be, keeping watch over me for five nights..." Eriel smiled warmly and sat down beside her bed, facing the door. A candle in front of her as she took out a scroll containing her memories, a little something her mentor made for her once upon a time. Eriel smiled as she came across fond memories, she could almost feel herself singing and dancing at the Agaenti Blodhren. Eriel loosed her hair, letting it flow over her ears and shoulders then looked up, a little surprised to hear voices outside.
"No you go in!" Ryndeth whispered. "Nu-uh, its your idea, you go in!" Grond hissed. "You better go in or I'll stick my arrows into your eyes..." Ryndeth trailed off as Eriel opened the door, eyes widened and vocal chords ready to greet them. "We err..." Grond began. "You err?" Eriel asked softly, raising her eyebrow as she did so. "We... want to... err... ask for..err..." Grond continued. "Ask for?" Eriel prompted. "We wanna say sorry!" Ryndeth suddenly said out loud, taking a step back as Eriel turned towards him. Eriel smiled and placed her fringe behind her ear. "Sorry for what?" "Sorry for upsetting you in the fields earlier on..." Ryndeth said softly, looking down. "Y...Yeah... We're really really sorry and well... we err... just came by to see if you err... were okay..." Grond looked down. Eriel shook her head. "How sweet." She smiled. "Come on in, I'm not exactly sleepy yet." Eriel stepped back as the dwarves entered her room, eyes widening as they saw how she had transformed it from the dull cave they purposely gave her to a blend of stone and flora. Eriel raised an eyebrow. "Whats wrong? Never seen a room before?" She teased. "Well...Err...We were shocked... We... didn't know you had... such an uncanny...err... ability to transform the... dull cave we gave you into this..." Grond looked around. Eriel raised the other brow. "You... Gave me?" "Not really, we just didn't really like you and so we gave you the ugliest room of all, although it seems you've changed it quite a bit..." Ryndeth said a little shakily, taking a deep whiff of the lavender scent that permeated the air. Eriel smiled. "Its nothing really, it just took a little magic and Emrhyst." Eriel pointed to the sleeping dragon beside her bed. The twain stepped back. Eriel laughed. "Don't worry, she won't hurt you." She paused. "Want a drink?" Ryndeth sat down next to the candle. Grond looked around and sat next to him. "I guess that's a yes." Eriel smiled and took a little bottle of wine from her saddlebag then got three glasses and set them, pouring the wine quickly then sat down, facing the dwarves.

~Chapter 21~ The breath before the plunge
Eriel smiled warmly as the dwarves took their leave. "I'm glad that's over..." Eriel sighed and yawned then bolted the door and changed into her nightgown before falling flat onto the bed.
Emrhyst yawned loudly as the first of the sun's rays fell crosswise on her face. Good morning! She screamed into her rider's mind. Eriel cringed and jolted up violently, causing the blankets to fall from her as she did so. "Five more minutes..." Eriel groaned and fell onto the blankets. Emrhyst was about to nudge her when someone knocked on the door. "Err...Eriel?" Grond started to say. Eriel groaned. "Yes Grond?" She replied. "Well... Err... I've been asked to present you a gift." Eriel sighed and got up. "In a minute." She groaned and put on her robe then unbolted the door. Grond cleared his throat and placed a quiver of arrows, matching the exact description Hrothgar gave Eriel awhile ago. "He... Wanted me to give you this in the hope that you would help us with the err... approaching army..." Emrhyst growled and walked towards the door, touching her nose to Grond's forehead. Let's go then, I tire of these rooms. Eriel grinned and took her equipment. Grond sighed. "Very well... Err... So, see you on the fields of battle." Eriel smiled and walked out, her hauberk above her robe and her weapons at her side. Eriel drew her sword and whispered to her dragon. "Let's go..." Emrhyst grinned as Eriel mounted then flew into the air, roaring as she stopped. The dwarves below cheered. "Show off." Eriel laughed. Emrhyst snorted and plunged into the fields, waiting beside the twelve dwarves who were dressed in mail. Eriel laughed and sheathed her blade, drawing her bow at the same time. Eriel breathed heavily as drums echoed in the caverns. Emrhyst frowned and there was smoke billowing from her nose. Eriel's 'students' strung their bows, arrows at their cheeks.

Re: Eriel, the good ol' days. ~Requested by ILS~
~Chapter 22~ The first two.
Eriel paced back and forth in front of the dwarves. "Show them no mercy." Eriel said loudly, starting a war chant. The dwarves stomped their boots. "They do not deserve our mercy. Today, we will not let a single one of them escape, no more." The dwarves chanted. Eriel grinned and shot an arrow into the air, letting Emrhyst set it ablaze before it fell back down to the earth amidst the dwarves chanting, lighting the oil fields and giving birth to raging fires that scorched the sky under which they stood. Eriel raised her chin and notched her bow. "Doom." A voice came from beyond the walls. "Doom." More joined in. "Doom doom doom." It sounded like an entire army chanting now. The dwarves shuffled their feet nervously as the sounds got louder. Eriel frowned then threw her head back as an arrow sliced the air, cutting a few strands of her hair. The dwarves looked at her worriedly. Eriel just smiled, not wanting to demoralize the men. She strained her eyes and saw a lone archer rider a wolf just under the horizon. Without her noticing, the rest of the army came up, bows at the ready, all pointing at Eriel, without warning, they fired. The arrow shafts flew like hail, creating a mirage of the sun as the sun's rays were reflected off their points, only to be blocked off by their shafts. Eriel's eyes widened. "Shields up!" She shouted then waited until all the dwarves were shielded before she let Emrhyst cover her with her scales, arrows bouncing off them harmlessly. Eriel saw the goblins step back as their attempt to slay the elf failed. They muttered amongst themselves, only to stop as one of them raised his fist, fingers towards the dwarves. Eriel looked at them. "That means?" She asked no-one in particular, although a whole dozen of dwarves replied. "They want to parley with you." Eriel raised and eyebrow and mounted Emrhyst who flew off the walls and landed just after the flames. She scared the goblins a little, and that's exactly what Eriel wanted. Their leaded got together a band of warriors and advanced towards her, weapons at the salute as they stopped, stomping their feet on the ground in complete unison. Eriel raised an eyebrow, impressed by it. Their head stepped forward and said in a gruff voice. "Too much bloodshed will occur here if every single one of our men fight." Eriel raised an eyebrow. "And so, I was thinking of settling this score with a few duels." Eriel inclined her head. The goblin continued. "I will send my best men out against you. If you fall, the city is ours. If they wall, then we will throw down our arms and retreat." Eriel looked at the dwarves beyond the flames. "Aye, I accept." She looked at her students, who were gripping their bows tightly. "Very well. May the best force win, and don't think we'll take pity on you just because you're a woman." He laughed and walked back. Eriel shook her head. "Go back to the walls Emrhyst..." She said softly. But... "I said go back!" She shouted into her dragon's mind. Emrhyst sniffed and licked her rider then flew back.
The goblins cheered when their leader brought back the news. "That foolish girl has taken the bait." He laughed loudly. "I bet she didn't catch it when I said three of my best warriors against you." The rest laughed along then hushed suddenly as Eriel sent Emrhyst make, making Eriel seem more delicate, and the way she drew her sword was as if she was of noble blood, using her left to draw it with the guard down, then transferring it to her other hand in a fluid motion before placing it in front of her face, the flats facing her opponent and herself.
The goblins cheered as they sent their first champion out. He bellowed and charged Eriel. Eriel just looked at the goblin and smirked, then before he touched her, jumped over him and slashed his back, leaving a gaping rent that bled blood of the darkest red. Eriel looked at the dazed goblin with amusement, then ran at him, blade poised to strike and before he knew what was happening, the emerald blade lay protruding from his heart, dripping blood. Eriel sighed and pulled it out with her other hand, ignoring the blood that splattered onto her hauberk and robe. The dwarves cheered loudly as the goblins stood with mouths open, afraid of the way Eriel fought and killed their champion to quickly. The second champion came out after awhile and took his stance, provoking Eriel to come at him with offensive terms. Eriel just shrugged and sat on the ground, opening her mind. In the end, the goblin for bored, and supported by his comrades charged at Eriel. Eriel gasped as she felt a spear thrust itself through her shoulder, hurtling her towards the flames. "Nice way to disable me..." Eriel scoffed at him as she pulled the spear out, crying in pain quietly as she did. The spear head was so huge you could stand next to it and look right through the hole. Eriel brought her hand up to it and started to heal it, a green glow surrounding her hand as she did so. After a few seconds, Eriel removed her hand, revealing her flesh perfectly knitted back together. The champion stared at her and ran at her, his ax close to his side. Eriel glared at him and brought her sword perpendicular to her side, then ran at him as he got close, using the burst of energy she used to slash through the Goblin's leg. He howled and toppled to the ground. Eriel walked over to him and was about to bring her blade down when he thrust his own through her abdomen. Eriel groaned and placed her palm next to his body. "Blodthr, reisa." She whispered and watched as the goblin's blood started to flow out of his body. She sighed then fell onto her side. Emrhyst roared in pain and swooped down upon the goblin then brought her rider back behind the walls. Eriel pulled the spear out, trying her best to hold back tears of pain but every now and then a drop would leak. She moaned weakly as Emrhyst lent her rider energy to heal her wound. It didn't heal it completely though, but it would suffice. Eriel sighed as Emrhyst dropped her outside the gates again. The goblins sighed. They felt pity for her, but what could they do anyway? She had chosen to align herself with the dwarves.
