Re: Favourite elves Noooo! It's Estel! It means hope in elvish! Look in the appendix of The Return of the King and you'll see! When Arathorn died, Gilraen went to Imladris with Estel, er I mean Aragorn and Lord Elrond took them in. Elrond gave Aragorn the name Estel to hide him from those who did not want the line to continue and Aragorn to take the throne. He named him Estel because he was the hope of man.

I do too! I really wish we knew about his past! Did he have any siblings? What happened to Thranduil's wife? I'm thinking he may have had siblings and was not the oldest if he did, because I doubt that Thranduil would let the crown prince of Mirkwood go off on a quest that lead to certain death. You DO know who Legolas' father is, right? _________________
