i thought because there is a topic about what women want how about what men want. what do they look for when they want to date a girl. how smart they are, looks, personality? (I hope there is not a topic already like this)

Ok, I'm only 12 but heres some of what i think
1. decent looks
2. doesn't allways say "like" in every sentense
3. Isn't scared of anything thats moving (seriosly, there are girls that screem as load as they can when a foam dodgeball is flying neer them at my school)
4. smart

all i can think of right now, once again, im 12.

no both can reply it doesn't really matter everyone can put there input in i guess. i think either way it will be interesting!

i think too many men think looks are most important not thing like personality and other things are not as important. but i guess when you find the right person looks inteligence, personality all comes in the package!

I think that society is obsessed with beauty in most things.(like advertisements, leaders, fashion, etc.)

But anyway, to quote the phrase "Beauty is in the eye of the beholder

Well, this is my Dream Girl, the requirements are not in order:

1. Good Looks as in extrodinarily beautiful
2. A huge sense of humor to match my awesome and unbeatable sense of humor!
3. Great personality, loves to joke, gentle, kind, loving, can be serious when appropriate
4. Good body
5. Blonde hair/blue eyes
6. not lazy but active.
7. Relatively smart, but not nerdy

Any of you girls here think you match the requirements? Any of you my Dream Girl?

I'm not gonna lie, I would like to have a blonde girl But seriously, girls that aren't blonde can be just as, or moreso, beautiful than blonde girls.

wow!! you know exactly what you want don't ya?! but i think most of your expectations are too over the top. because you said a good body not a size 4 so good luck at finding her and i'm not the one (i just had to add that in there!)

ok i have a question. if a girl acts like she is dumb, ditzy do guys like that? and do they like it when she has to be touching him constantly no matter where you are at? like sitting on his lap when there are plenty of other chairs available.

to me this would be very annoying but i am curious to what some of the other guys have to say.

I think the idea that all , or most , guys prefer blonds is just an inexplicable media thing.(Kind of like the whole idea where the media says every one has to be skinny)

Yes and no. It's a complicated answer. I've always invisioned my Dream Girl to have blonde hair, yet the dark hair or brown hair could be perfectly well.



Oh, I guarantee there's a girl out there that matches that description. But as long as she has most of the checklist I'll be happy.

Now, for some advice to those who want a good looking girl:

If you're like me and not really a handome pooch, you can still get the girl of you dreams. Now a little while back there was a workshop for guys who wanted to get the girl of their dreams but didn't think they'd have a chance because they pressumed they were "ugly". Now I didn't manage to get to this workshop (even though I'm a handsome pooch despite whatever I said before ) but i know what it was about - be funny and tell good jokes and have a sense of humor. Plus be charming and gentle ect, ect. Most girls prefer those who are "uber funny" to handsome.

Some people do marry their girlfriend from highschool. Especially if they have a lot in common. Plus, 16 is the time when a lot of people do take a huge interest in girls. Some even younger. Where I live and plenty of other places, in fact probably everywhere people were going out in about fourth grade or so. In that respect 16 is quite old for someone who has never had a date or taken an interest in girls before.



Actually, many people can handle a serious relationship at around 16, some even before them. Some people might not, but everyone's different.



Some people might be like that, but there are plenty of people out there who have true feelings, care for their partner, and don't rush things and they're still in highschool. Plus, it's not only highschool that that sort of thing that you mention goes on.

most people who date in hight school have a slim chance of becoming married and then even staying together more than a couple of years after that (this part always makes me a little nervous!) both of the partners being mature also helps alot! getting jealous is hhooorrriiibbblllleeee for a relationship!! dont guy hate it when girls get jealous if they talk to other girls or "flirt" with them??? i have seen girls who are in there 20's get jealous if their man talks to another girl, and they ment nothing by it and the guy were like ????? whats going on???? what did i do now??!

Well I'm jealous but on the other hand it's her choice afterall if she thinks it's time to "re-settle" than there is nothing I can do about it

i dont know if it is guys like blondes, but i think it has to do with how girls carry themselves like how much confidence that they have also helps.

This is sad but I have seen a guy dump a girl because of the color of her hair. They had been together for only a week and she got her hair changed to blonde. He was an (insert word that would be beeped out) anyway. lol

Well I wouldn't say that I'm very sensitive and in ways of love naive person, actualy I'm the right opposite but which could mean beiing shallow for some people but I still doesnt have any problems with hair color )

well i had just today read this whole topic and it made me formulate my own tale about my girl friend and i

My girl friend and i have only been dating for almost four months (hard to believe i havent messed up yet lol). And besides, rushing isnt the best thing to do. She and i were friends for more than a year and a half before we started going out. and in that day i said to myself, "Shes everything i could ever ask for." shes very beautiful, shes smart, kind, understanding, funny, loving, comforting in times of stress, serious, heck she even has A.D.D. but that dont metter to me plus she just plain excepts me for who i am. in some eyes i can be a very strange person. im a strong believer in the midevil times and as a common language i say things like, good day my lord/my lady or top of the mornin/evenin and so on and so forth. she doesnt find that weird at all. and dang im not the best looking dude in the world. i weigh 200 pounds and im not very skinny either. (but im not fat!! lol) sure i have some muscle to but thats just because it runs in the family to be big like that. (got it from me dad and grandpa lol) but she didnt decide to date me because of what i looked like. she said to me, "i need someone who will understand and listen and not run away or get nervous when i talk to them" she said that her preivious boyfriend was always nervous when she talked to him. (he was a freshman in high school. both he and i werent sure if was ready in the first place) she likes me because i listen, im respectful, im not obbsessive, and she also says i can be romantic at times to (dinner by candle light and music that matchs the mood)

now there were points at the beginning (since this was my first relationship) where i wasnt sure about everything. she hugged other guys, went dancing with them and so on, but we both kept our words. we both said the only way that we would break up is if we cheated on one another. now about this look thing, when i was first actually thinking about starting a relationship (finding someone) i had always thought that girls mostly chose guys just for looks and vice versa. i felt i was the only guy who didnt. and thats probably why i quit until i met my present gf.

And many comments here i found to be very true. looks shouldnt matter and it does seem like alot of people only want that. guys and girls alike. and true also, jealousy seems to run about in relationships. shes got friends that are guys and i have friends that are girls but we dont get mad at one another.

In most of the movies that you see, and in pomfret's tale, AND from personal experience, giving up is the true victory. When you stop searching, she will come. I've learned this lesson the hard way. i gave up this summer and had a nearly three month relationship, before she cheated on me, then i had a girlfriend who was too clingy and just kinda boring, now i'm searching for something in between, a girl with a fiery personality who's got her own life, but will always come to me when she needs to talk. I'm a very caring person and i value personality and intelligence over looks and rep. Though I have to say, the latter are good bonuses to have if the person for you happens to have them as well. ^.^ except for the drama... >.<

its stupid to think like that and go for looks only. got to take time and look inside and know what theyre like.

What i look for in a girl is a good sense of humor, a good persnality, and if they are good looking with a nice body, then I hit the jackpot. But im trying not to get to involved with any one, in a year ill be gone for a while, fighten and what not.

what are going over seas or somthin?? well i guess u have a good point but u never know u might find someone u rrrreeealllyy like before u go and that might give u a good reason to come home sooner ( not that u dont have other reason to come back, but i thought maybe another one)
