Well, there isn't any NEWS per say, but it WILL happen, whether hard core fans want then to F.U.B.A.R. another book or not. No specific date.

actully theres even less of a chance of it beong called empire, since the main theory behind it was that the final battle will be in the emire and now we now the final battle wont be in book 3.

you're pretty stalwart in your argument, rpm. you do realize that you are arguing against the majority. most of the experts say that it's going to be Empire and that is the generally accepted theory from most people on other fantasy/Inheritance sites I have seen. I'm not criticizing you rpm, you have a right to your own beliefs. I'm just stating the observations I have made.

i doubt it? he said he was trying to find a good spot to stop 3, which means he either had written up til then, or even past (i hope). anyways. three years is probably too long for 1/2 a book, so my guess is only 1-2 years, which is still a while, but we'll have stuff to talk about. as for the title, i think one will be empire, but seeing as there are two books now, he needs 2 titles that follow the pattern, so he may drop it.

seriosly, people just belive thats its empire because they heard of it first from some guy who knows a lot about inheritance and now they just belive it because the mojority of people do. but seriosly, THERE IS NO EVIDENCE! it makes no sense, why would the title be something we already know all about?!

you know what, the majority of people thought the guy who invented the telephone was a nut and would never be sucesful, but he was now want he?

well, rpm, people wouldn't beleive it if it didn't make at least SOME sense, and seeing as it fits the pattern, i'd say it's got some hope. (but again, adding a fourth book certainly makes it a bit harder to have a title in that pattern for the series)

well yeah empre isnt the only word that begins with e and has 6 letters,, there are a lot more choices.

and i doubt 700, he said a 900 would get a bit long, so he split it, maybe 500 or 600. maybe 7 since he has room to expand each book

now im not sure if this is on topic or off topic but...

wont having a release date 2 or 3 years after the 2nd book really turn off some fans? think about it, if a kid reads eragon in grade 7, will they still be interested in grade 10? personally, i think that having such a huge amount of time between books is going to hurt his sales a little.

Aeraldi ~ i thought that rorans story was very interesting. it kept you up to date on what everyone was going through. i think it would have been a bit boring to have it focused soley on eragon.

curious_liv2 ~ its a possibility. but most people that ive talked to about eragon have been adults. not many kids know who or what eragon is.
