If you ever testify in court, you might wish you could have been as sharp as this policeman.


He was being cross-examined by a defense attorney during a felony trial. The lawyer was trying to undermine the policeman's credibility....

Q: "Officer -- did you see my client fleeing the scene?"

A: "No sir. But I subsequently observed a person matching the description of the offender, running several blocks away."

Q: "Officer -- who provided this description?"

A: "The officer who responded to the scene."

Q: "A fellow officer provided the description of this so-called offender. Do you trust your fellow officers?"

A: "Yes, sir. With my life."

Q: "With your life? Let me ask you this then officer. Do you have a room where you change your clothes in preparation for your daily duties?"

A: "Yes sir, we do!"

Q: "And do you have a locker in the room?"

A: "Yes sir, I do."

Q: "And do you have a lock on your locker?"

A: "Yes sir."

Q: "Now why is it, officer, if you trust your fellow officers with your life, you find it necessary to lock your locker in a room you share with these same officers?"

A: "You see, sir -- we share the building with the court complex, and sometimes lawyers have been known to walk through that room."

The courtroom erupted in laughter, and a prompt recess was called.
The officer on the stand has been nominated for this year's "Best Comeback" line -- and we think he'll win.

Now y'all can't tell me that this ain't funny

nice. Friggin owned. He had that one coming. Very nice. Its so rare to hear a good comeback these days. All I hear is, "Your mom", "That's was she said" and other crappy comebacks. Wish I could have been there.

that's pretty good.

Similar to that, i heard a story. Guy was hanging out with some girls. For some reason he says, "your mom was burning/on fire last night!". One of the girls runs off crying, and later he finds out that the girls mom had died in a fire.....yeah, that would have SOOOOOOO S.U.C.K.E.D. incredibly awkward.

oops! well yeah that's my only comeback that i can say here... the rest are a little umm over the top.

That awesome! I always have really good comeback, I just don't think of them until like ten minutes after I should have used it, so I get annoyed I couldn't think of it sooner, and then proceed to forget it.

that happens to me alot i'll sit down in my next class and all of a sudden i'll have 10 just like that it's kinda anoying

I don't need comeback most people are smart enough not to say anything bad to me Most but when they do I still don't need a come back I have the "are you crazy look" down very well. lol

yeah I give it the best and people who even admit to being crazy back off its funny

I'm proud of myself, I've mastered just ignoring the person until they go away. Well, its more of zoning out then ignoring, but they both achieve the same thing.

*makes note not to do that* hmm... i should put that with the card that says how old i am... sorry...
