1. click on the link
2. click on the book. (it's got look inside on it). This will open a window.
3. on the left about midway up there's a search bar rather than scroll through the book just enter 'fourth book' (have to use the words) there will be only one entry and that will be the extract from book 4. The arrows turn the pages.

Wow, now I really can't wait to read the book.

And I can't wait to see what Galby does when all the cats in his palace try to eat him!! Lol, oh this is gonna be good.

Eh, they're ok, but there's just something about that bone-chilling, don't-give-a-flying-flip look that cats can give you that just endear them to me.

Besides, dogs make to much noise! Lol, jk. My dog is a really sweet Border Collie mix and I wouldn't give her up for the world. (I've raised her since she was 3 weeks old.) We got her from a rescue center and the people there told us she was 6 weeks, but she was closer to 2 1/2. Her ears hadn't even opened up. She's orangish-brown (she looks light brown in the dark, but when she's in the sun she looks like a carrot, only with tan spots) with white legs and the tip of her tail is white to. (So is her chest, the front of her neck, and her muzzle.) Lol, and she's got that sweet, intelligent collie face. Did I mention she understands English perfectly? (She won't respond if you talk to her in baby-talk.)

Well, they are "one-shapes" so it just stands to reason that the werecats do command them as well.

Just for the record, the big battle in this book is gonna be ba with the werecats, dwarves, elves, new rider/dragon, and Eragon/Saphira all fighting in it.

What I want to know is if the rest of the werecats can't stand her, why does Solembum follow her around?


Maybe he's like a guard or something to keep her from messing with the werecats again.

I dunno... Either one of those could be true.


Maybe he sided with her when she poed the other werecats.

Yeah, I was just reading some other topic (rock of kuthian, I think) and somebody mentioned he might have been banished. When I thought about it I realized he wasn't mentioned throughout the chapter, not even an aside to mention what he did when the King walked in.

That would be almost as bad as killing Saphira!! No, I'm gonna say that he was just making himself scarce.

I know, but still... it's not a very pleasant possibility that CP would kill off such a cool character.

Hmm, was it me or was it kinda weird that eragon was on the guys right that means he is a loyal servant or vassal or whatever to the new guy......

Solumbum was mentioned by maud so i don't think he was banished and apparently he was arround angela because he thought her interesting.

So maybe it has something to do with the fact that solumbum was traveling with her at all, I bet you solumbum was there hanging out with the rest of the werecats.

It should be alright, you've just got to make sure to press right a few times after you type in 'fourth book' to the search field.

maybe he chose to leave? we wont really know until we see them meet up in the book. he probly chose to leave because the king said most werecats walk alone

What if he's the Werecat Prince or something and doesn't get along with the Werecat King, aka his dad?

Or maybe it's like a wild animal thing. Stallions in mustang herds chase their children away when they get old enough to breed. They don't want the competition and it stops inbreeding. Maybe he chased Solembum off until he's old enough to come back and take his place?

And it would explain why the other werecats don't like Angela, maybe she lured him away from the fold. (Just a thought.) Or he could have thought she was funnier than reality tv and decided to follow her around.


For the record, if I sound a little air headed today, it's leftover nerves from my interview at Hasting's today.

Back in the days of the old Riders, werecats were revered as advisers and companions. I don't think they shun him for having a human companion, I'm more inclined to think it's that particular choice of human (Angela.)

Hmmm.... I just realized, Solembum never met Murtagh. I wonder what he'd (Solembum) would make of him? He'd probably rip his face off right now, if he got the chance....

Yes that... and Halfpaw's demands were for armor as well, so we at least know that besides sneaking around they may be in the ranks along with the soldiers.

Would the Varden soldiers get along with a bunch of werecats?

More so than the Urgals i dont think there will be any problems there.

Oh yeah, because Nasuada put every one in their place when one of her soldiers attacked an Urgal.

Also humans dislike Urgals just for the fact that there urgals. where as Werecats are more of a legend a good thing people already respected them.

They are a bit creepy when they go into human form with their sharp teeth.

I wonder if the Werecats were added just like Angela was, if so then we might have never met Halfpaw. Which means that the whole werecat appearence might never have happened as well. Unless he was going to have at least solembum meet Eragon, idk it leaves a whole lot to infer without any concrete evidence.

Probably because they dont trust her? The root of the question would then be what did angela do to offend them.

I don't even know if she's human! I think Angela will definitely play a big part in Book Four, and there's that werecat she has...

Personaly, I think that solumbum ran away (for reasons unknown: disagreed with plans, wanted to see the world ect.) and met up with Angela and knew that if he stayed with her he would see the world.

Or Angela came to the werecats to study a theory she came up with (like the frog/toad thing), and ended up disrspecting halfpaw. Solumbum could've helped her escape and ran with her.

Or Solumbum could've had a vision, such as what he told Eragon, and knew if he didn't join with Angela, Galby would defete the Varden

Oh yeah, they're good ideas, but we won't know the truth until Book Four comes out.

It looks interesting so the wear cats jon the verden to help Eragon.

Yes, I'm not sure if the Varden soldiers will take a liking to them though.
