Syllwin closed her eyes, having a hard time actually falling asleep. It was more difficult than she thought; she still had a bundle of energy left. She was going to use it against that stupid general if she could ever find that miscreant again. Being good is such a pain in my tail, she grumbled to herself. But I suppose it's worth it in the end. Re: Encounter "Good night." Aaron said. He laid down next to the fire and fell asleep. He wasn't cold, his dragon geners and part of his dwarf genens kept him warm. It took him a while to fall asleep.
I swear this whole continent has been going downhill ever since Galbatorix came to power. He's here, she whispered to Aaron in private-speak. "Icsys, I know you are there," the general called up. "If you don't face me, how will you know what's about to come?" Syllwin tilted her head to one side, confused, just as a couple pillars of black smoke floated up to their level of ground. Re: Encounter Syllwin growled at the smoke creatures that were advancing on them. I wouldn't know. They're not the spirits of the dead, that's for sure. Perhaps their some creatures from the Shadow Realms.
She fired an icy blast from her mouth of the smoky creatures but it went straight through them. Re: Encounter Aaron looked at the strange creatures. He slashed his sword through them, but that didn't seem to do much. He tried to think, with his limited magic, he couldn't make complex spells.
"I don't know... just how can we fight them. I'd say use light magic, but I can barily cast a simple spell." Aaron said. "Perhaps... So you think you could freeze the mouth of the cave? Aaron, lure them into the cave. They're in front of us, and if you back up far enough in, they'll follow. I'll fly up quickly so they won't be able to follow. At the very last second, jump out! Re: Encounter Syllwin closed up the remainder of the hole with her ice breath just as Aaron had rolled across the snow and stood up. She couldn't hear anything behind the wall of ice that now covered the cave...but she wondered whether the creatures could make noise.
"Very impressive, the two of you," the general said gleefully, shouting over the wind. "This was merely an asset to test your wit and strenght." What do you mean? Syllwin demanded. What is it you're planning to do? "Many things, but I will say this," he smirked. "My army is almost complete. I now have souls at my bidding and creatures that are only shadows that I call upon. They are long gone from the cave now, they are more like...poltriguists. But enough for now. I will come again, very soon."  IC: Syllwin waited for Aaron to finish getting situated before diving off the cliff and into the air. She snapped her wings open and quickly pulled up so that the mountains were far below them. The sun had risen at that point, making the snow on top of the mountains to shimmer and sparkle in the light. The clouds portrayed reds and golds from the sunlight; Syllwin looked up at them and marveled at the beauty. Well, I don't know where that general went, but he couldn't have gone far, Syllwin said, flapping her wings to gain altitude. But we sure as heck are far better searching around than staying around here. Let's go. And with that, Syllwin flew over the mountains, and into the sunrise, her scales shimmering as if they were snow itself.
