It was a Hot day and there was not a tree in sight. Moris had said to his dragon I didnt think our food would run out so quikly. What should we do now that we have no food. And just if you are wondering, No we are not going back to Du Weldenvarden. We must make it to the Boers and then who knows where. I am suppose to meet Orik there. Adin had replied I wasnt going to say go back to Du Weldenvarden. I was going to say i hear something.

Kariana lay in the shadow of a particularly large sand dune. The sun warmed her velvety wings, and the warm sand felt comforting against her scales. A particularly loud snoring erupted from deep in her throat. She shifted, and clawed the ground, gripped by her dream, oblivious to the real world around her. Her deep sleep had lulled her into a sense of security, and she nestled into that feeling, calm and comfortable. Her huge amethyst eyes flicked rapidly from left to right under her eyelids, and her claws stretched wide and grasped her imaginary prey.

I hear it too. It sounds almost like, like a snoring dragon. Kinda like you in the middle of the night. Moris had responded to his dragon. First of all I do not snore. I sleep puff. Secondly, that is a dragon. Adin had replied snuffly to Moris. They had then went to the spot were they heard the sound. When Moris had seen the dragon he had pulled out his axe yelling, "Wake up, Dragon!"

Kariana cracked an eyelid open lazily. She shuffled in the sand, and yawned widely displaying he huge glistening teeth. Slowly, and clumsily, she struggled to her feet, and stretched, taking her time. She then stared at the man and dragon in front of her. Any trace of sleepiness that may have previously been in her disappeared, as her eyes widened in sheer surprise. She hissed in amazement rather than hostility, and carefully contacted them.
Yes? She asked simply, eyeing them both warily.

OOC: Not to be rude this char is an elf

IC:He had looked at her then said, You seem to be no threat.We were a little startled when we heard you. Do you know where i can find some fruit and vegitables?

OOC: She is sleeping. Dreaming.

OOC- Sorry, I know he's an elf. I just kind of forgot.

Kariana glanced around her looking for a trap, the sun glaring off the light sand. When she was satisfied that this was a perfectly safe encounter, she shuffled her wings into a more comfortable position. Taking her time, to test this rider's patience, she replied, thinking carefully.
Well... She paused, scanning her memory.
I know there are clusters of trees rich in exotic fruits near here. Kariana pointed out.
They can be found at the bases of the singular mountains that scatter the Hadarac. Other than that, the closest places to go would have to be either the Beors, Du Weldenvarden or the Empire. She snarled at the thought, upper lip curling.

Cassandra heard a strange noise and decided to peer out from her hiding place to see 2 dragons!!! Confusion filled her and she thought i thought Eragon was the only dragon rider what else have i not foreseen in my visions?
Nervous she decided to call out them "who goes there? Are you ally to Eragon?"
She waited nervously for a reply and silently drew her sword.

Kariana's piercing gaze met Cassandra's. She grinned, for this stranger appeared to be no more than a girl of maybe 17. Searching more closely, Kariana saw that under her hair, gracefully pointed ears were revealed.
Well well well, another elf. She said to the new comer, grinning slightly. Kariana craned her long neck to see beyond the girl, scales rustling dryly as she did so.
No companions? She questioned with a hint of surprise. When the elf didn't move, her sword still readied, the mighty dragon reassured her.
There's no need to worry, I mean you no harm. She explained softly.
And if you must know, I have no interest in Eragon, barely heard about him. However, I am opposed to Galbatorix, if that is of any help. She pointed out. She shuffled her wings, and flexed her claws comfortably, apparently unconcerned about this elf, sword still drawn. Kariana knew that elf or no elf, she was no match for a ferocious dragon or two. Physically that was.
And you are? She asked directly, but not unkindly.

"Well, Well, what do we have here? Another elf? I am glad to have met you." He had said to the new comer. Then he had said to Adin, Keep your eye on that elf and prpare to breathe fire just in case. Then he just stood there waiting for to have said something back. While waiting he had jumped onto Adin and prepared for battle just in case. You never had known if an elf betrayed its own kind.

Cassandra began to let go of her sword for she had trust in her race.
"I am also against Galbatorix, if all goes well Eragon will bring peace to the Empire"
Lucifer stay hidden. They may turn against me at any moment. We will have to see whether they will turn against us
"I travel alone, I am curious about how you managed to get dragons when from what i heard there were only 3 that had hatched. I have missed much during my decade in the mountains"

Kariana looked at Cassandra, wondering how she could possibly know so much about the empire.
Don't ask me. Kariana snorted.
I was in an egg when it all happened. Mind you, I am far older than you might think. She pointed out.
I hatched long before Galbatorix was ever around. I knew the peace that dwelled before his reign of terror. She explained with a touch of sorrow. Suddenly, she lost the gleam in her eyes, as painful memories flooded back into her mind, unimaginable sadness encased her thoughts. Then it came. Just as she had expected, the burning anger and blood-lust rose inside her, and her lips pulled back in a silent snarl to reveal deadly pointed fangs.
Since Galbatorix slew someone very close to me... the nearest I have ever had to a family, I have been willing revenge against him. She ranted angrily.

Cassandra stepped in front of Kariana and wondered whether what she was about to do was wise.
"i do believe you are an enemy of Galbatorix and to help you trust me i am going to tell you why i hate the empire"
that is not a wise move
I know but we have little choice we need informataion and we need allies
"Galbatorix hired men to ambush my mother, she was killed with a poisonous arrow and i seek revenge" Cassandra waited ofr a reply ready to run at a moments notice

Kariana, it's me, Erais. Is it okay for Erador and I to come out, or is it not? Erais asked Kariana through mind link.

Erais and Erador were hidden behind a sand dune. Erador was hoping that the sun wouldn't betray her. She didn't like being a white dragon at times. It was useful and it also betrayed her to many enemies. Erais couldn't wait any longer. She came out. Erador stayed, Erais walked up.

Kariana, pretend you don't know me, okay. She said.

She walked up, sword drawn and in hand. Her hair shining in the bright sun.

"i mean you no harm Erais" Cassandra said "i have known that yuo and your dragon Erador were there the entire time. Please put down your weapon, i mean you no harm"
they do not trust you
I know lucifer but we have little choice in the matter
"please trust me"
Cassandra gently fingered a stray loch of hair afraid of the reply she might receive

Kariana looked at Erais, wondering what she was doing in the Hadarac. She then swivelled round, searching for Erador, but thought better of it, when she realised that the others might be suspicious.
Why can't I know you? Kariana asked puzzled, then adopted a wary glance to fool the others into thinking that they were strangers.
How can you know her name? She asked Cassandra, then flexed her claws nervously. She was anxious, and wondering why Erais didn't want the others to realize that she and Kariana had met before. Kariana glanced back at the elves and dragon, checking their positions.

Oh man, she just had to give us away. Erais said.

She didn't make any motion to withdraw her sword. Erador came charging out. She stopped at Erais. She growled, then blew a puff of smoke. Erais and Erador both knew that they, with Karianas help. Could defeat them. They had taken on much worse, over the cousre of them together. Now the sun was reflecing off Eradors scales. The light was blinding. Since Erais was part dark elf, she could stand it.

"Please i mean you no harm this secret way of communicating sugggests suspicion..."
"if you wish it i will leave that is up to you..."
Cassandra was nervous she was losing allies and time a choice would have to be made soon.

"It is nothing agianst you, yet. I have just had problems in the past." She said.

Erador watched carefully. She knew that in any moment, guards could pop up and take Erais and her away. She watched, and kept an eye on everything in site.

For now, we have to trust them. We can trust Kariana, I am not sure about them. Erador said.

Fine, but I don't need to like it. Erais replied.

Erais put her sword down. Then she put her dagger on the ground to, then her bow and arrows.

"There, that is a truce. If you turn on me. I will use them." She said.

She then picked them up.

"I have ben kept secret within te elves for many many decades with my dragon. Not even the queen knew about us until the day we left." Moris had said then walked to his dragon. "I must be leavng shortly to find food. If you wish to come then follow i do not care."

Cassandra dropped her weapons and waited.

"are you an ally of Eragon?" she asked


Lucifer watch them i have had no experience with a dark elf before there may be trouble

"I am an ally with the elves and the elves are an ally to Eragon. I have not met him personally, but i have heard about him from people who talk when they think it is safe. Now i must leave if i wish not starve." As he said this he got on his dragon and waited for any reply. For he had known that a dark elf had the talent to turn anything into food.

"that is not necessary i have plenty of food. for unlike you my journey has just begun" Cassandra said.

Cassandra smiled and began to make a fire.
"is there anything you need for your journey?"

"I have met him twice. He is sensible, though he wouldn't be my first choice of company. There is no need to go for food, I have some in my bag." She told them.

She then went over to Erador, she pulled out lots of fruit, it didn't seem like it would fit in there. She then walked over, the fruit in her arms. She then set it on the ground. She then picked up a small, round, purple colored fruit. It was very foriegn. She then sat on the ground.

The fire made Cassandra began to prepare a broth.
"Oh! You are vegetarian! I must be more out of touch with the world than i first thought. My apologies, if you want any broth it is yours to take. Only Eragon can end this war and so i seek to help him in anyway i can. I am heading to Surda where are you going?"

Kariana looked at her companions. It seemed safe enough to be with them. She felt her stomach rumble, for she had not eaten in a while.
I'm going to hunt. She said simply, moving her feet apart. Her gaze darted to Erador, and Kariana's eyes sparkled as she caught her eye. Without another word, the huge dragon spread her wings, bent her legs and launched off from the ground. She hung in the air for a split second, before her powerful wings thrust downwards, forcing her into the air. Wind battered the people below her, the down draft from her flight tossing sand into the air, and causing the patches of scrubby grass to bend low to the ground, as if cowering away from her. The fire flickered and threatened to go out, but as Kariana gained height, everything below returned to normal.

Cassandra began to eat her broth happily this was her first meal away from the cruel and corrupt eyes of Ellistine. She was cheered by the prospect of having made some allies and felt a a lull of content fall over her.
"Where are you heading" she asked sipping her broth

Lucifer if you can hear me bring the remains with you the dragons will eat meat

"No where actually. Just wandering around." Erais said as she bit into another piece of fruit.

Erador sat down in the sand. To everyones surprise, she began to eat some of the fruit. Her scales glistening. Erais then finished her second piece of fruit.

"You don't need very much to fill you up. Four pieces of this will keep a dragons stomach happy for a few days." Erais told them.

She then brushed her silvery hair out of her face.

"I am headed to the boers to learn more and go on to the empire and take on Galbatrix. He has reigned to long and if we have to wait for Eragon any longer we might lose our chance. I am mainly inspecting the place from safe distance and then bring an army to Urea'Bane." Moris had said willingly.

Kariana felt happy and free once again. A leisurely flight had cheered her up a good deal, and she loved the feeling of being practically invisible to anything on the ground at this late hour. She was just gliding over a small clearing in search of some prey, when what seemed to be a gleaming white rock caught her eye. Silently, Kariana swooped down for a closer look. When she had a better view of the object, she began circling the clearing. What she thought was simply a rock, now appeared to be a creature of some kind. Intrigued, Kariana lowered even further, and once she was almost skimming the canopy, she could make out the form of a large white dog, or possibly a wolf.

"i am leaving the Boer mountain for you see i have been trapped away from my own kind for a long time. It has changed me which will explain why i eat meat. I must warn you that there is an evil in the mountains, i believe she is working with Galbatorix and he will be angry with her for losing me. Travel quickly and avoid the river paths for she wanders often around there"

Cassandra watched Erais silver hair and then had a look at her own silver lochs.
I wonder if silver hair is common in elves..

"Do not worry i am going strait to Farthen 'Dur. I will look for you when i return to Du Weldenvarden to present to you my safe journey. It will not be long to get there and I will stay for only a few days. If anyone wishes to join me now is the time to say so or goodbye." He had said to them all then had said to Adin When we leave keep your look out for anything out of the ordinary, Ok? Adin had Replied Ok, but you must also i can not look two ways at onc.e

"Under other circumstances i would go with you but i have a lot to do. I'm warning you Farthen 'Dur will be at war soon if it is not already... I do not know i have seen it but the date eludes me. I have to cross the Hadarac desert to Teirm. Then i intend to sail Surda when i see no more use for me there i will rejoin with the elves. It has been so long..."
A tear dripped down her cheek and she turned away to prepare the camp so she could rest.

As Kariana watched, the wolf glanced up. It's eyes sparkled with intelligence, then it trotted away into the trees. Kariana had often been around wolves. When she had stayed in Du Weldenvarden, she found their company most enjoyable. She wondered if it belonged to a pack, or was simply a lone wolf. Carefully, she glanced around her and scanned the forest floor, just to make sure there was nobody else there. The wolf seemed to have stirred the herd of deer up quite a bit.
Maybe it caught one itself. She wondered. Suddenly, Kariana spotted a small doe at the edge of the herd. Fresh blood oozed from a gash along its side.
Probably the wolf's work. She thought to herself, and locked her wings back, forcing into a steep, swift dive. As soon as she was only a few feet away from the cluster of animals, the injured deer looked up. Fright glazed over its eyes, but it was too late.

"If there be war than I will aid to it. I must help when help is needed and not cower. Good bye for now." With that he had left and traveled south to the Boer Mountains. He then had said to Adin, Do you really think there is war at Farthen' Dur. I hope there will not be a started war when we get there for i do not wish to get there then fight right away. Adin had replied Do not fright little one. I sense there will not be war when we arrive.
