 Did You know about Oromis's identity, even before Eldest??I thought it was very much hinted. I always knew that the Mourning Sage was an elf Dragon Rider, even before the Eldest plot twist, even before Eldest ever came out.
The Mourning Sage lived in Ellesmera, what else could he be, if not an elf?? It also made a lot of sense that he would be a Dragon Rider, because Brom hinted that there were surviving dragon riders, and, who better to teach Eragon than a surviving Dragon Rider?? Especially, since Oromis was hiding in the elf forest, a good hiding spot. Who else noticed this? I was almost certain that he was an elf, and very suspicious that he was a Dragon Rider, even before reading Eldest. Who else was? |

Re: Did You know about Oromis's identity, even before Eldest When exactly did Brom hint that there were surviving Dragon Riders? I don't remember that at all. It doesn't seem like the kind of thing he would tell Eragon (In my opinion) especially since he didn't tell Eragon that he himself was a Dragon Rider until he was on his death bed.

Re: Did You know about Oromis's identity, even before Eldest I knew he was an elf because Osthato Chetowa just seemed like a very elvish title. Did not see Glaedr in the picture at all. XD It was a very pleasant surprise though.

Re: Did You know about Oromis's identity, even before Eldest now are we talking about the mourning sage or Oromis. Because we knew the mourning sage existed but we did not know about Oromis.

No, I wasn't expecting the Mourning Sage (Oromis) to be a Rider. I wasn't surprised he was an elf, but I didn't think CP would have an ancient Rider and dragon to be floating around. What were you expecting after you first read about the Mourning Sage, before you ever picked up Eldest?
