The Nameless: Atakai is a common foot soldier. Just another face in uniform. Like his brothers in the army Atakai is what you call 'balanced' in his skills. He is OK with a sword, shield, and spear. He knows basic medical care. He is physically fit and disciplined. A fine example of one of his majesty's soldiers.

A Lovers Protection: Atakai always wears a necklace that is attached to a metal capsule covered in old draconic chicken scratch. In dire times when all hope has vanished. The magic capsule opens producing very surprising results.

Character Personality: Atakai is a gentle giant. A big hug-able teddy bear as his wife would claim. Surprisingly enough having lived a rough life Atakai has strong morales and unique code of honor. It often comes into conflict when ever a superior officer gives him questionable orders. To date he has never disobeyed a order. But he always expressed his thoughts and displeasure on it. Atakai at times can be quite the smart ass. A personality quirk he picked up in the army. It was also in the army that Atakai learned his talent and love for the beautiful music a violin produced. He holds great pride in his skill and the talent often got Atakai invited by army officers to military balls in the capital. Music can hold a mysterious power. And Atakai's music has a magic all in its own.

Atakai would admit he has no love for the elves, dwarfs, and other none humans. But if he was around when a none human was in trouble. He would aid them and later say. "Just because I don't like your kind does not mean I don't respect you..... that is the problem with the world today"


Character History: Atakai was a orphan living in the human colony of Osirus near the elven forest. His life in youth was fraught with peril. From stealing food and avoiding capture and the removal of his hands for the offense. When precious ores were discovered Atakai along with many other orphans volunteered to work in the mines and lived out of a labor camp.

It was there, deep underground in the darkness of the unknown that Atakai spent the remainder of his years. Events happened in those mines that he never would recover from. Horrible things that came after the discovery of a forgotten tomb from the ancient world.

When not working in the mines Atakai spent his time with Syril. A girl his own age he met while fishing in the forbidden wood. Without the elves consent I might add. Atakai's life was never boring with her. Syril always seemed to drag him into unforeseen predicaments and adventures. She was the joy of his life. A beacon of light and hope in the dark hopeless world that was his life. Syril was a queer girl Atakai knew. But it was that difference that he liked most. She was different. A diamond in the rough. It came as no surprise to anyone when Atakai at the age of 18 took her as his wife. No surprise, but it was frowned on. The woman was not like them. And there were many a whisper that she was not even a human. But something else in the guise of mankind.

The mine had run dry at that time and wanting better work Atakai joined the army much to Syril's grief. All the men folk were doing it. And most never returned leaving many a window to grieve. Atakai writes to his wife often. But after the empires bloody loss at Elru the letters stopped coming. Atakai with hundreds of others are missing in action and presumed dead. He is not, but it would have been better if he had been.

Atakai is at Tanor, a Varden prison camp built into the side of the western cliffs along the coast. Though death camp would be the better description. The average lifespan of the captured soldiers of the empire is no more then a few days. Ravens are always circling Tanor, ever ready to feed on the body's thrown into the mass graves outside. Atakai and the other prisoners grow fearful. Word has reached inside the walls that the kings third shock army moves toward the prison. And they all know, The varden would see them all dead before they are freed.

Likes: - Fishing, the occasional drink, playing his violin. Seeing his wife whenever the army grants him liberty and leave.

Dislikes: - Suicide missions, rebels, none humans, guard duty, latrine duty and other stupid things soldiers have to deal with.

Weakness / Fear: - He is human so he has plenty/Caves and the darkness

Animal Companions: - Ostroja. A rare dragon like reptile no bigger then a cat more commonly seen as pets in the lavish courts of rich nobles. Unlike dragons they have the intelligence level of a dog and just as fiercely loyal and loving. Ostroja unlike there bigger dragon cousins only have two taloned feet and wings. Kind of like a bird.

Character's Physical Description: Atakai is built like a boulder. His body chiseled to human perfection from years working in mines and the military. The man stands 72 inches tall with short cut hair. Some joke that Atakai is so big and strong he could sucker punch a dragon and lay it out. He of course would not test that claim. Though Atakai's size sets him apart. His uniform is the same as the typical soldier in the kings army. At least 5 lines.

Dreams for the Future: - To get out of the army and settle down to raise a family. Though having children does not seem possible despite his constant attempts. His wife appears as barren as salted earth.
