Skills: Ana doesn't really know how to fight, but her basic instincts allow her to protect herself reasonably well. Most of the time she relies on her wings to take her away from the danger. She has found that there are very few dangers she can't avoid by flying.

Memories: She doesn't know how she does it, but in the first few minutes after a person has died, she can absorb their memories. The only memories she gets though, are ones the person was thinking about in their last moments and their most recent ones. This is really hard for her to do though, and the more time she spends absorbing their memories, the longer and harder it is for her to recuperate. The first time she did it, she didn't know what she was doing or how to stop it, and ended up in a coma-like sleep for a week and a half, after which she could hardly move. The only reasons she'll use this ability is to help find a murderer, or to console the loved one's of the dead person.

Character Personality: Everything about Ana would make you think she would shatter with one blow. The same goes for her temperament. She is so sweet and loving, so unwilling to hurt another person or creature, that she has to force herself to hunt. When she hunts, she makes the kill as quick and painless as possible. Since she's been on her own for most of her life she longs for friendship, but is too scared to seek it out. The few times she has met another sentient creature since leaving her home, she was either chased away or had to fight to protect herself. She hates violence and doesn't know why it's so hard for her to make friends, but she does know one thing. Right after her mother laid her egg, Galbatorix appeared and started his assault on her home city. It's because of him that her family was killed and she was an orphan before she even hatched. The one thing on earth that this sweet, innocent creature hates with a passion is the tyrant king. All in all, Ana is the sweetest, most loyal friend a person could ask for. She may not be that great a fighter, but she'll fight like a mad thing once you hurt her friends or get in between her and Galbatorix.

Character History: Anastasia's egg was lain only a few hours before Galbatorix's assault on Doru Araeba. By the time her mother was ready to lay her egg word had reached the city of the coming battle, so the bonded dragoness had lain her egg and then hidden it in a small crevice in the wall of the mountain. When the battle commenced, no one noticed the tiny golden gleam emitting from the wall as the flashes of dragon fire and magic lit up the surface of her egg. After it was all over, Ana's mother and father, their Riders, her uncle and his Rider, and grandparents were all dead. She was alone in the world. (For the most part anyways, she doesn't know about Taren.) All the family she had that her mother told her of after her laying, was gone.
Years passed and Ana remained hidden in her egg, terrified of emerging to find herself in Galbatorix's clutches. Finally she could wait no more. She burst from her egg, and beheld the sad sight before her. The entire glowing city was destroyed. Everything, all of the broken, once happy homes, the centers of learning, the proud watchtowers, had been destroyed and lay under the dust of many decades.
Alone but for the strange creatures that roamed the ancient, island kingdom of the Riders, Ana raised herself. She became tough, with a gentle temperament that belied her great strength. Eventually the loneliness became too much and she forsook her home and crossed the ocean to Alagaesia, where she knows the people live under the cruel thumb of the man responsible for the death of her family. Since she came to the mainland, she has heard tales of many dragons, and even Riders, that escaped Galbatorix's wrath. Even more miraculous are the tales that some of these dragons are no more than hatchlings. She can't wait to cross paths with one of her kind, but for some reason, she's always a day behind them, and hasn't seen even a glint of a scale of another dragon.

Weapons: She's not a remarkable fighter, but she knows how to deal damage with her teeth, claws, and even her tail. Her firebreath is powerful, and a lovely golden color that's a few shades darker than her scales.

Appearance: Anastasia is deceptively frail and delicate looking. Everything about her is normally proportioned and she's as big as she should be for her age, but there's an air about her that makes you think she could shatter if you bump her the wrong way. Perhaps it has something to do with her attitude, because once you know her, you can't help but want to protect her from even the smallest of injuries. Her scales are a beautiful pale gold, almost like white gold on her chest, belly, and the underside of her wings. The spikes on her body and her talons are all bright white. Her eyes are yellow-gold and always have a gentle, calming light glowing inside them. Even without speaking to you, she can get you to trust her just by looking into your eyes. She doesn't know it, but she's the mirror image of her mother.

Weakness/Fear: Ana's greatest fear is Galbatorix. He and his Forsworn Riders destroyed her family before she even knew them.

Dreams for the Future: To avenge her family.

Reasons for Dreams: Because she is sad they were taken from her, and since she views herself as being weak, she thinks this is the only way she'll ever be able to honor them.

Alignment/Side: She's against anyone who revels in wanton violence.
