Re: The quest of death
Faefnir didn't hear any of their words. He continued his rampage. By the time it was over, not a single draconian remained alive and the camp was starting to burn to the ground. Looking frantically around to try to find more to destroy, he launched himself into the air again and proceeded as fast as he can to where the draconians had originated from: the mysterious, unmapped East.
The Queen of Darkness, master of the infinite draconian legions, looked down on the desert in her huge and powerful fortress. She smiled as the golden dragon took the bait and slaughtered the last of her desert army and headed towards the East. She knew her plan was launched, but his friends there may hinder it. She had to figure out how to dispose of them, one by one...

Re: The quest of death
OOC: It's Star's turn. Eriel won't be coming on as often because she's in Australia right now and can't check in everyday like she usually does.

Re: The quest of death
Reb pulled the little dragon away from Star Gazer and then went to work trying to find a connection to Faefnir's mind, but now that Star was dead, she had none. " Use your link to your father and call him here now." Reb comanded of Teranor. " Father, what happened? Where are you?" Teranor questioned. " Mother is gone, now I can't find you. Where are you?" Teranor asked, suddenly afraid despite his age. " I need you." He wailed. Reb kept egging him to call to his father, trying to stop Faefnir's blind rage. Usually that was Star Gazer's job, but not anymore.

Re: The quest of death
OOC: Eh... Well, I'm back, and trying to work my mind. Okay, I've gotten quite a twister in mind now.
IC: Emrhyst roared in anger. She felt as if a part of her mind had died. She was linked to Star Gazer almost as much she was to her rider. With a roar she flew back to the stronghold. Eriel glared at the dead draconians. Emrhyst, in her rage, plunged a claw into her rider's abdomen accidentally. Eriel's eyes widened. Emrhyst stiffened then moved over to her rider, bleeding profusely from the wound. Her anger suddenly all gone. She nudged her rider. Little one... She said softly. Eriel gasped and choked, "Well, at least we can get Star out again." She then passed under a wave of black and into the Vault of Souls. Emrhyst lay on the ground and followed her rider in.

Re: The quest of death
OOC: nrrrggg... argh! I must post!
Keralin felt the death surrounding him when he opened his mind again. Anyone's hands could hold death, but only a few could hold life. And with the power granted to me I can save the lives of thousands. I have done it before. He reminded himself. He brought his mind to Aelir and said Sorry my friend. I have been negligent and ruthless. Not to mention the worst friend. Can you forgive me for what I have done?
Aelir was heartened by his words and said back gently I wouldn't be much of a friend if I didn't. But as a dragon with a rider, I cannot forget what you did here today and of the others you have neglected to save. He indicated towards Star Gazer.
Keralin's eyes widened, his limbs felt weak. He wanted to scream, to let out his anger and frustration. But his voice was lost. He wanted to look away, his head turning but his eyes kept staring. Unblinking. Although he wanted to cry for the loss, he couldn't. He didn't know what was after death, but he hoped was better than the world he was in now. He searched the battlefield with his mind to search for the others, only to find another one of his friends fall in an accident. Keralin's mind was reeling, his face locked in pure terror. The people around him were dying and he had sworn to protect them. He only found his tears then, making clean lines down his face. He buried his face in the sand, crying for those forever lost to him now.
Faefnir! Cried Aeraldi. Aeraldi it is time for us to do the unthinkable. What are you talking about unthinkable? I've been wanting to do this for a VERY long time. I know, but it is the only way to help him. We have to kill that evil dragon and end the suffering he is causing! Aeraldi let his anger reveal itself, he showed the world what he was capable of. The lost soul has to be shown the path. Only we have the power to do so. Aeraldi however, knew he had to do it for the mercy of Faefnir. It was the only way to help him.
Aeraldi's body changed. His scales flowing grey once again, his size becoming as large as Faefnir. He roared with power and aimed at the golden dragon. Aeraldi flew fast and slammed the dragon into the ground. He heard many bones crack, a few of them his but mostly Faefnir's.

Re: The quest of death
occ...- its been my turn all along? well srry then, ive been waiting for some1 else to post. now, how did i leave off lol..., alright its about time i write something thats worth something lol... its pretty long now that i look at it but... o well ..ps sorry if there are a couple of minor spelling mistakes... - After days of flight, Fankor, Laverra, Kiara, and Kyth finally reached the edge of the spine. Fankor was hesitant to enter, but Kiara encouraged him every step of the way. " Fankor, you must not let the fear get to you. That is how all will perish in this dreded forest. You, see, long ago towards the beginning of the fall of the riders, an experienced rider and a few elves cast a spell on the spine. The spell was to keep the king and his men out, meaning the spine was a kind of fortress for many. The spell, tries to get to you by Flodding you with fear. When the kings army tried to enter the spine to destroy the fortress within, His men tore themselves apart, untill only a few men remained. When they finally figured the spell out, they were captured as prisoners in the fortress. All you must do is not let the fear overcome you, and keep on walking. If We can do that, finding your father inside the fortress will be little trouble," Kiara said to Fankor and Laverra. This made Fankor feel a little better, as he tried not to think of the fear. They traveled for what seemed like days to Fankor, when they resched a wall of trees that were grown so closely together, that not eve an arrow could fly between the trunks. " Would you like to do the honors," Kiara asked Fankor as she motioned toward the trees. Fankor looked at here a little fun, when he finally understood," But how?," Fankor asked her. " why, Greet them of course," she ansered back with a smile. Fankor nodded as he put his hand on the trunk of one of the trees and said," Atra esterni ono thelduin Morrranr lifa unin hjarta onr Un du evarinya ono varda." Fankor jumped back as the the trees started to slide inward and to the side to allow them to enter the fortress. Fankor and Laverra were both very supprised to see that there were mant elves living inside the fortress. They all turned and looked at the for of them. Kiara stept foward and said a few words in the ancient language that fankor coulnd completely understand, although; He was pretty sure she was introducing them to the other elves. After she finished many elves ran over and greeted them with a very warm welcome. They were led inside a building where they were served some food and something to drink. One of the elves walked in and said," He is ready to see you whenever you are young rider." Fankor and laverra both nodded and followe dthe elf outside and through the fortress. The elf came to halt at the edge of a dirt path that led further into the fortress. " just follow this path and youll meet him," the elf said as he turned and started to walk back. Fankor and Laverra continued up the path a little until they came to a huge building. Fankor knocked and he heard a deep voice touch his mind. "Please,... enter," the voice said as fankor pushed the door open. Inside, it was brightly lit, and there was beautiful patters all around where the elves sang to the wood. also inside there was a huge, cobalt colored dragon. Fankor gasped when he noticed the dragon was missing his right wing and also had some major gashes all over him. Fankor noticed that Laverra saw the injeries as well as she grimaced like she could feel the pain that the dragon must have endoured. " Hello Young rider, as well as my beautiful daughter," Both Fankor and Laverra heard as the dragon touched both of their minds ," Laverra didnt answer as she still had her head down, afraid to insult her father by looking at his injuries. " It's alright Laverra,... i got all this from trying to save your mother. when i went to jump onto the kings dragon, three more dragons jumped ontop of me. I killed one and injured the second before the third and the kings dragon were both on me again. I was just barly able to escape, but when i arived back here, i lost the use of my right wing, and it had to be cut off... Anyways, i know why your here, and you did the right thing coming to me... although it may be to late for your one golden friend friend," Laverra's father said. "Faefnir!," Laverra screeched,"Whats happened to him!." A tear rolled down Laverra's face. She couldn't stand to lose another friend.Fankor was just as upset a Laverra, but he tried to comfort her aa much as possible. "Im afraid, in his rage, he has fallen into the queen of the draconian's trap. You see, as powerful as he is now, only you, Fankor, can kill the queen. Your bow, im sure you have been told, has special qualities to it. It was made a very time ago, when man first walked into alegasia. one of the men off the ship met with an elf who he fell in love with. When all the other men left, he stayed with this elf, and they had a child. This child had some amazing abilities, as his parents found out when he was only the age of two. He was able to sing things out of the trees that no one has ever seen before. When a few years past, the elves went to war with the draconians. When the war battled on, the elves were doing horrible. The child sang a bow from the trees that had a special power to it. He went to the batle front and fired at the queens heart. the bow did what it was supposed to do, but the child never though of one thing. the queen, unlike any shade, had to be shot in the forehead before sho in the heart, to stop her memories from flooding any lasting draconian. The elves finished the war, since the draconians coulndt duplicate without there queen alive, but they must have missed a couple of draconians, for one has absorbed the old queens memories and became the new one. after hondreds of years of duplicating, they now wage war on us again. now that child, was your ancestor and the bow is now yours. You and only you have the power now to kill the queen and end this war." Fankor was astonished. he remembered being told his bow had something special about it, and here it was. he was ment to kill the draconian queen. " But, how does it work," Fankor asked," is there anything I have to say, any spell?" Laverra's father shook his head, " all you must do is fire the arrow accuratly in the forehead, and then the heart, then the bow will do the rest. you should go now, maybe there is still time to save your friend before it's too late" Fankor and Laverra both nodded ans left walked outside.
They met with kiara and kyth again. " Kiara we must go and quickly. I know what i have to do, but faefnir is in grave danger, we must try and help him," Fankor said. Without further question, they left the fortress, navigated their way out of the spine, and took off towards the others.

Re: The quest of death
Faefnir grunted as Aeraldi plunged into him and broke several of his bones. He quickly healed them however, then took off towards the East again. He didn't even care that Aeraldi had deliberately attacked him.
The Queen sat back and chuckled. "Yes. Come to me, my slave. My pawn for world destruction."

Re: The quest of death
OOC: Sorry about the shortness.
Why did he not attack me? Because he doesn't want to fight? Coward! Maybe he knows we are trying to prevent him. Maybe he finally knows we aren't his enemy. Aeraldi laughed within his own mind at the comment. He known I'm his enemy. Aeraldi shuddered in the air, his size growing smaller and smaller. Aeraldi was in control as Aeraldi couldn't bear to hurt Faefnir if he considered him a friend. Dammit, this will make it hard to follow him. Aeraldi commented on his smaller size. He didn't mind though, he had it implanted in his mind that he didn't need any other help. He flapped his wings and took off after Faefnir. Even though the great dragon was fast, Aeraldi could keep up with him.

Re: The quest of death
OOC: I'm back... I'm back... sry...
IC: Eriel sighed as she passed through the starry passage again, with Emrhyst, as usual, under her. Eriel looked around, "Its more crowded..." She commented casually. Emrhyst sighed. Sorry Eriel.. I don't know what came over me... She looked back, eyes filled with tears. Eriel smiled at her dragon warmly, almost as warm as the time she hatched. "Its okay..." She said softly, rubbing her hand against her dragon's neck. Emrhyst purred softly. Eriel smiled wider then looked at the vault. "I havn't been here in ages..." She whispered softly. Emrhyst smiled. Neither have I, anyway, we came to find Star, and find Star we will! Emrhyst roared, blending a mountain dragon's roar with a forest dragon's one, deep throated and as free as the wind.

Re: The quest of death
Star Gazer floated and reveled in the feel of no cares. She was in a watery world, where she could see all, know all. She saw Faefnir in his drunken-like rage.
" Faefnir," Star Gazer whispered into his subconcious" Faefnir. Your son has need of you. Look at yourself. Your loosing your control. Remember all it has resulted to. Don't let your grief run your life." Star Gazer said then forever fell silent in the minds of all. All the gems dimming that had a connection with her. Reb heard the remnants of Star Gazer's words and quit grieving. She had to get to Faefnir. But she had no way to get there fast enough. But she hopped onto Cobalt's back and he instantly transformed to the fire steed and thundered after the golden dragon. Leaving Teranor grieving at his mother's side.

Aeraldi was tiring quickly. He wouldn't be able to keep up with Faefnir for much longer. Yet he was intent on sticking with the Dragon to find out exactly where his rage was taking him.

Re: The quest of death
Emrhyst looked around and continued flying through the space. It was so silent in this part, and it seemed she could see all and hear all as well, and she saw Star. Emrhyst grinned and took off, landing as she neared her friend. With a grin she snaked her head beside Star's. 'Ello Star, what might you be doing here hm? She asked childishly then saw Feafnir in all his rage and then the draconian queen, laughing to herself as she gazed into Feafnir's mind, feeding him anger.

Re: The quest of death
OCC. im sorry guys... ive been so busy these past few weeks... im trying to get on more often now so i should be replying sooner... im think of something to write atm ... will post soon
edit.... ok here we go...
- A day past since Fankor and Laverra left the spine. Kiara and kyth were following, but far behind. Just before they started to pull apart, Fankor asked why she was slowing down, but as it turned out, that was not the case at all. Laverra was flying faster than ever before, and she showed no sign of slowing. The faster they arrive to the dracconian queen, the better of their chance of saving Faefnir. "Laverra, you must be exhausted,"Fankor said. "I will not rest until we reach Faefnir..., I will not have any more of our friends die," she answered back. "We are going to have no energy to save Faefnir at all if you keep at this rate. Laverra we must stop and take some time to rest.""I guess your right, but not all night, a few hours and were back in the air."" Of course, now lets find a nice stop to rest... Ill try to reach Kiara." Laverra found a nice spot surrounded by trees and landed. Fankor hopped off her back and tried to reach Kiara through his mind. "Kiara, can you hear me?" I few seconds past, and Fankor heard a reply. It was faint but Fankor could make it out. "What is it Fankor, We must be far behind... I barley made out that it was you,"Kiara answered back. " Well, we landed to take a rest. Keep riding in the same direction and you will come to a grassy plain with a small forest just ahead of it, we will be in the middle of it. Just try to reach me again when you get closer," Fankor said. "Ok I Hear you," Kiara answered back. "Kiara got my message, and she will contact me again when she is closer. You should just rest up... Ill keep watch," Fankor said. "Alright little one. I guess I could for a little while, but not to long," Laverra said as she laid down and feel right to sleep." Of course Laverra, Of course," Fankor whispered as he gathered some fire wood, lit a fire, then sat and waited for Kiara's reply.-

Re: The quest of death
By the time the mad Faefnir was deep in the mysterious Eastlands, the ones pursuing him were far behind. He looked around him and was frightened. The entire expanse was a wasteland, with draconian fires as far as the eye can see. The sheer numbers of the creatures astounded him. Never before had there been an army as large as this one. Suddenly, a black, distinctly feminine figure appeared before him. She was really tall, dwarfing even Faefnir; her head touched the clouds above. He stared at her with blood red eyes and suddenly had a feeling come over him. "Come, Faefnir. Land and meet me on the ground." Faefnir did so, and the woman shrunk. She was still tall to Faefnir, but not as tall. "Faefnir, I'm so sorry for your loss. You don't deserve to be like this, without the love of your life. Look." Then, behind her, Faefnir saw the purple-black, glorious, beautiful form of his beloved mate, Star gazer. He inhaled and started to approach her. But the woman stopped him. "Nuh uh uh, you have to do something for me if you want to be reunited with her." Faefnir had tears starting to form in his eyes. What will you have me do? The woman smiled, then stroked Faefnir's face. "Make yourself my servant, and you can spend all the time you wish with her." It was loath of Faefnir to give up his independence to be with Star, but he had no choice. He bowed to the woman. I submit, my lady. "Good." Then she touched him. Faefnir felt a feeling course through him. His scaled turned black, although they still had a hint of gold. His claws and spikes became sharper and longer, and his eyes became more acute. In addition, they remained a blood red color. He snarled, a changed dragon. "Now, my servant, you must do this for me." She whispered in his ear. Yes, my lady. He turned around and took one last look at Star. Then he proceeded to his task: to kill those who were pursuing him.

Re: The quest of death
" I'm fine but his giant golden butt won't be when I get out here. He just basically sold his soul to the devil and I'm going to get it back." She said, not letting the boundaries of life stop her. She felt energy gather and suround her and Emhyrst. She drew energy from all around, expecially from the draconian queen. " That ***** is going to pay." Star Gazer gathered as the soul world blurred and she suddenly found herself looking up. Teranor was standing over her. " Mom!" He cried.
" Go back to the mountain, momy has butt kicking to do." She said then stood, but realized her frame flickered. She wasn't alive, but she could still do some damage in this form. She sped off after her mate. " He is so dead, when I get back to him." She said shaking her almost transparent head.

Re: The quest of death
Emrhyst grinned as she felt herself looking at the remains of the dragon stronghold, which by now was nothing more than sand and stone. Eriel yawned and got up, suddenly noticing she was...transparent, and the only thing that told others she was there was a flickering frame and her robe, still stained with blood. Emrhyst roared. You get that great *** of yours running now Feafnir, I'm not happy about you selling your soul, and i'm coming with retribution from the grave. She laughed and took off after him as Eriel got on, her body almost invisible at the speed at which she was flying at.

Re: The quest of death
Aeraldi kept flying, even though he had lost Faefnir within the clouds. Aeraldi grumbled to himself and continued flying, there wasn't much more he could do. Stop now! Aeraldi sighed. Alright what is it now? He asked with impatience. Haven't you been looking? Faefnir has made a pact with someone called 'The dark queen'. At least that's what the Draconians below us are saying. Does that change anything? It might... Aeraldi kept flying using his eye to scout the area ahead, watching for any sign of hostility. If he wasn't looking for Faefnir he might have considered this an enjoyable flight with an enjoyable view. Below us! Aeraldi barely had enough time to look down before Faefnir slammed him in his stomach. Aeraldi wheezed trying fratically to get air back into his lungs. Faefnir didn't leave him time though, he swiped his massive claws across Aeraldi's wings and his back, tearing everything. Aeraldi fell out of the air fast, unable to get air beneath his wings again. This is NOT how I will die! Aeraldi cried frantically. No, we will not die here. This dragon may look like Faefnir but everything that it represents is rage and evil. I am willing to kill this dragon, I cannot let this continue. Finally, then let us fight to the death! Aeraldi breathed in and blew smoke across everything as he was falling, shrowding him in smog with the ground still rshing up to meet him. Nothing was happening though. Nothing was changing. Aeraldi tried to use his magic to heal himself, unfortunately that was his other side's domain. He took one last look at the ground with the masses of Draconians before closing his eyes.
Aeraldi changed at that very second, his claws losing their black appearance and gaining an ivory appearance. He grew larger, as large as Faefnir, all his features becoming stronger. His wings patched themselves together and caught the air again. He swooped over the forces on the ground, spreading fear. He opened his maw and roared long and loud.
Keralin finally stopped crying, his eyes red and his voice croaky. There was nothing he could do at the moment but stare at the world and all its bleakness. Aelir broke his thoughts We must go now, the world still revolves around us and events continue to happen whether we will them or not.

Re: The quest of death
- Laverra and kyth took their well deserved rests and were now moving again. Fnakor was still supprised to see Laverra moving at that same incredible speed as she was before they landed. Their progress was amazing, covering more ground then ever though possible in such a short amount of time. They flew until they came to a sight then no one would wish to see. "Look! There's Araldi, but who is that black dragon? Is that..,"Fankor didnt have time to finish his sentence before Laverra answered it for him. "Faefnir." The Queen must have gotten to him before we did," Fankor said as a feeling of sadness came over the both of them. " We must stop Aeraldi and Keralin... if we can still kill the queen, we may be able to save Faefnir!," Laverra said. Fankor didnt waste any time and tried contacting Keralin right away. " Kerlin, Keralin If you canhear me you must stop attacking Faefnir... One of you are gunna end up being killed. We know how to kill the queen, and if we can do it soon, Faefnir may change back to normal! Try leading him the furthest away from the queen as you can, We will try to make this as quick as possible," Fankor finished and told Laverra to not even wait for a reply. Laverra took off in the direction of the queen. The two couldn't ever be more determined then they were now. They just had to pull this off...-

Re: The quest of death
The Queen saw Fankor and Laverra approaching. She immediately began to fear for herself, and for her plan to destroy all of Alagaesia. Faefnir. Faefnir! Break off from the attack and go up! It's time to end this.
Faefnir heard her message as clear as a bell. Yes, mistress. After flinging the black dragon to the ground, he angled up and started going through the clouds. He quickly made his magical air mask and, after leveling out when the Queen told him to, he just hovered. The Queen ordered him to start the process. Yes, mistress. He roared mightier than ever before. His whole body started glowing red and he made fists. The red glow projected to all corners of Alagaesia. The mountains started crumbling, the woods started to burn, and the ground itself opened and swallowed all that was upon it. The only thing that could stop it now was Faefnir himself, and the only he would stop it was if his curse was lifted.
OOC: Time is of the essence now, Fankor and Laverra. You better hurry. heheheh.

Re: The quest of death
Star Gazer arrived at that moment. " Oh no you don't." She said then barrelled into the queen, grabbing the draconian's head in her mouth and bitting down. " Faefnir!!!!!!!!" Star Gazer roared, a roar more mightier than Faefnir's, shaking th ground and everything near. Trees fell down in the force from it.
Reb thundered towards the battle, and then without notice a red glow assaulted her eyes and made her fall from Cobalt's back. " Umph." She said as she hit the rocky ground.

Re: The quest of death
Emrhyst roared and chomped down hard on Feafnir's neck, bringing him down to the earth with an earth thundering roar. You foolish lump of rock and fury! Can't you see what you're doing? She growled at him and stamped her foot on his face. You're actually killing the world your own father made. She roared and whacked his head again. Do you know how mad and disappointed both Star and I are? She screamed now then kicked Feafnir away from her, calming herself.
Eriel glared at the dragon in front of her. Then again, he can't actually be called a dragon. He wasn't worthy of the name anymore. Eriel notched her bow with an arrow and fired at his side. Eriel felt her anger rising and falling.

Re: The quest of death
OOC: Oooooo, I'm sorry Elve and Aeraldi. But I just have to respond.
Faefnir roared in pain as a green dragon assaulted him out of nowhere. He tried to struggle, but the female dragoness was super-strong from her clear anger. He she flung him far away and pierced his side with an arrow, he looked at the Queen. His eyes widened as he saw the reincarnated form of Star gazer attacking her. She was alive! After the Queen knocked her off with amazing strength, and not a single scar was on her body, Faefnir spoke to her with a menace and sorrow almost infinite. You.... you.... lied.... to me. I'm going to kill you for this! He lunged at the Queen, but she caught him in midair with a single finger. "Nuh uh uh, you serve me now. Attack them." Faefnir tried his hardest to resist her control. No... I won't hurt my love you stole from ME! Faefnir then managed to wrest control of his freedom from the Queen and, with a mighty roar of an indomitable spirit, he changed back into a golden dragon with deep blue eyes. He shrunk in size and returned to normal. He shook his head and panted from the tremendous amount of energy it took to return to normal. You touch me and my friends again, and I'll... oh, to the Vault with it. I'm going to kill you now! Then, with amazing ferocity, he launched himself at the Queen and they started to do battle.

Re: The quest of death
OOC: Heheh, my turn!
Aeraldi lunged through the sky regaining as much height as he could before trying to attack. He completely lost sight of Faefnir, though with his new power he didn't have to. Taking in another breath he roared loudly, announcing to the world that he truly was alive. He turned around to face his foe, the air beneath his wings feeling redeeming and ultimately freeing. Aeraldi was whole, even if it was for only a moment he enjoyed every moment. He searched the clouds for Faefnir, he knew what he had to do was grisly but he also knew that it had to be done. When he saw Faefnir had changed back, he had mixed feelings which ignited something deep within him. His power grew larger and larger, as did his size, greater than anything he had ever held before. There was nowhere to direct it, nowhere to unleash it no place except himself or... Run away from the queen now! Get far away! I cannot tell how this will end. He had only moments, his power raging and making the air shimmer around his body. He flew right at the image of the dark queen, unsure exactly what he was doing.

Re: The quest of death
OCC - tell me if you guys are right with this, or if i was to quick to do something or w/e..
-Fankor and Laverra were drawing nearer and nearer towards the draconian queen. Although Faefnir had changed back, the earth was still shifting under the enormous amount of energy the queen forced Faefnir to release. Fankor could only hope things would go back to normal. The queen was in view now. Fankor was surprised to see how big she was. Laverra flew them closer and closer to the queen. when they were within range of Fankor giving a good shot. The bow started to almost wiggle free off of what was holding it on Fankor's back. Fankor reached back for the bow which almost jumped into his hands on its own. Fankor was sure it couldn't be so easy... the queen had to have notice Laverra and him flying so close so close. They were only about 150 yards from the queen. How could she not see them? Fankor wasn't going to waste any more time. He reached back for an arrow, but was startled by a white flash of light from his bow. he looked down and saw a glowing arrow, the exact color of Laverra, already loaded into the bow. Fankor didn't think about it at all and took aim for the queens forehead. "What are you waiting for Fankor? Shoot her!," Laverra said. Fankor was looking at Aeraldi who seemed to be flying right towards the queen, but there was no time for second thoughts. Fankor took aim again and fired the arrow at the queen. The arrow was a direct hit, and the queen let out and ear piercing cry. Almost instantly another arrow appeared into the bow. Fankor took aim directly at the queens heart and fired. The queen right after the shot fell backwards, and the arrow flew past her. " No!!!," Fankor screamed. He looked at his bow for another arrow, but nothing happened. "Fankor... Look!," Said Laverra as she pointed to the arrow that missed the queen. The arrow was now curving in the air and flung straight at the queens heart again, this time making a direct hit. The queen screeched again, but this time falling to the ground for good. " We did...," Fankor was saying until a huge force knocked him and Laverra right out of the air and onto the ground. Everything went black..................................................... . . . Fankor opened his eyes slowly, and stood up. Laverra was just rising as well. Everything was now how it was before Faefnir's massive energy release. " What happened?," Fankor asked Laverra. " I dont really know... I just remember seeing Aeraldi striking the queens body and being blown out of the air," Laverra said. " I don't know either..., But Laverra... We did it! we killed the queen," Fankor said happily. " Yes... Yes i guess we did. I just hope everyone else is alright...," Laverra answered back.....-

Re: The quest of death
Out of the corner of his eye, Faefnir could see Fankor releasing a very strange arrow that was the same color as Laverra. It struck her right in the head. What happened afterward seemed to go in slow motion: Faefnir flying through the air as he launched himself at the queen, Aeraldi moving in to engage her, Star and Eriel and Emrhyst already engaging her, and a second arrow that seemed to curve in the air at struck the queen right in the heart. He saw Fankor and Laverra lose consciousness as the queen disentegrated into nothing. Faefnir passed right through where she used to be. Fankor and Laverra plummeted toward an abyss that had formed beneath them. Faefnir swiftly took flight and caught them both, laying them on a piece of land that seemed to be steady. Then Faefnir arched up and leveled at the same altitude he had before Aeraldi attacked him. He reached out to his power and roared much in the same fashion he did to start the destruction process. Just like that, the earth stopped crumbling under itself. The mountains stopped tumbling, the desert stopped sinking downward, and the fertile plains of the Empire ceased their destruction. Despite the vast energy resource that was available to Faefnir (the earth), this act tired him. He simply floated down, using his wings like a parachute. As he went down, the land of Alagaesia healed itself and returned to normal. He landed and gently lay himself to rest on the ground. He maintained consciousness, however, and he smiled as Star gazer, clearly still alive and well, walked up to him. Star. How? You died, I held you in my arms as you passed into the Vault.
OOC: Sorry for the GM, Star.

Re: The quest of death
" Hush my golden warrior. I am not alive. Yes I died, but I'm not completely going to God just yet. You have to retrieve me from the vault. I am just a partial part of myself. Not a whole. I came back to stop you from your rampage. Now that that has been accomplished I am free. Don't go crazy again. Stay sane with the knowledge that if you want to see me again, just come and get me. No sleep my warrior." She said and then settled a spell onto Faefnir that put him instantly asleep as she dispersed into a clouds of mist and was no more. OOC: My bad for the gm.

Eriel and Emrhyst grinned as they started to vanish. "Remember to come get us Feafnir! Or this time we're really gonna whack that great golden butt of yours." Eriel laughed a disembodied laugh as she vanished, appearing in the vault.

Re: The quest of death
Hello? Where am I!? Aeraldi called out in the darkness. He couldn't see and he couldn't move. Is anyone there? He yelled out again. He had tried using magic but he couldn't find the flow of energy in his mind. He couldn't feel his body either, it felt like he was drifting along an unknown path. Am I dead? He wondered to himself. No, if I was dead I would be able to see the gate. Something was wrong within him and he wasn't sure what. So when a pain suddenly erupted in his head, he was completely unprepared. He roared out in pain. He realised after that that he really wasn't dead, he could hear and use his voice. Although, now he was hearing other voices. They were familiar but in a disembodied sense. We must get out of here! What are you doing? We can't move, we might injure ourselves. Aeraldi realised that he was fracturing again, he cried that he couldn't find peace. We're already hurt, who knows what the damage is? Then let me fix it before you start making enemies again. Fine. Aeraldi's body shrank, gaining it's white appearance again. He shone his scales, illuminating the area around them. There wasn't much to see, it looked like stone and rubble, completely encasing them in darkness. Although when he looked at himself, he nearly fainted. He was missing his left wing, his front left leg was torn in half and his tail was a stub. He breathed rapidly, and cried out in pain and loss. He had many gashes along his body but they seemed like nothing now. He would have welcomed death warmly at this moment, so when bits of dirt fell from the ceiling, a lot of creaking and some snapping happened. He just closed his eyes and accepted his fate.
Keralin and Aelir were flying with mournful expressions on their faces. So much had happened, and so much had kept them away. I just hope we're not too late. Aelir said to Keralin, hoping to get some kind of response. He did. We're always too late! If not today then tomorrow, besides what could we have done?! We're just a dragon and rider, we don't have anything special about us. The only thing I'm good at is killing! And it's all I've ever been good at. Keralin barely stopped himself from shouting it to the sky. That's not true, you're good at many other things as well. Just let your mind open to the universe and it will give you a sign. That's a load of- He didn't get to say the last part of his sentance as a roar of pain interuppted his thoughts. That came from just below us. As Aelir angled downwards, the full view of the destruction came to show. It seemed as if all the buildings were drawn into a single sphere and forced into the ground. Aelir landed gently in the scattered remains of metal, wood and clay. They hoped that they would get another roar of help so they knew where to look. Fortunately they did, it was different to the one they heard before but it was still a cry for help, and it came from inside the sphere. Keralin and Aelir began digging, taking every piece gently and throwing it away, making a lot of noise. There was a great deal of debris blocking their way, but they kept digging determined to save at least one life. They encountered a large chasm, as if it was hollowed out for a reason. It was there that they found Aeraldi, barely clinging to life. Come on, let me help you out. Just kill me and be done with it! I can't, not anymore. Aeraldi stayed still, crying softly, then crawled his way out of the hole Keralin had made for him. At seeing the shattered dragon, Keralin's heart nearly died. He wondered how this much suffering could be allowed to exist in the world.

OOC: Oh, elve passed. Well, it's kinda revolving around him, so there isn't much I can think of. Faefnir is still asleep from the spell Star cast.

Re: The quest of death
occ. - sorry but this is all i can think of....
-Laverra landed beside Faefnir who was asleep. Fankor hopped of Laverra's back and tried to get Faefnir to awaken. Laverra walked over and gave Faefnir a slight nudge in his side." O come on Faefnir wake up. I have no idea how you could sleep after what just happened...," said Laverra. Fankor took a good look around..." Where is everybody?"-

Re: The quest of death
Star's enchantment slowly wore off and Faefnir swiftly became awake again. Star gazer! But he took a look around and found she wasn't there. Then he remembered what happened. The Vault. The Vault! There is still a chance Star and Eriel can come out! Faefnir looked around quickly and tried to find a place to take off and head beyond Alagaesia to the home of his father and the place where Star gazer was. Then he remembered... Wait. I have to be dead to enter the Vault. Then he noticed Fankor and Laverra standing there. Kill me. When they hesitated, Faefnir asked again. Kill me. They still wouldn't do it. KILL ME!!!! I MUST GET STAR BACK!!!
OOC: Sorry for the GM.

Re: The quest of death
Star Gazer sighed and then she gasped as a golden dragon began to beckon her forward and then she recognized the Great dragon. The first dragon created and the father to their race. She tensed, and then smiled when she remembered that this was Faefnir's father.
" Yes?" She asked tentivelly and for the first time the golden dragon pressed his face to her face and thanked her.
" Thank you." He said and then he looked up and smiled. " Faefnir comes." He said. Star Gazer gaped.

Re: The quest of death
Aeraldi heard Faefnir's screams and was saddened by them, but it opened an opportunity that would help them both. No, don't kill him! He needs to open the door on this side. Kill me instead. I can get Star back for you and I can do the things I need for myself as well. Aeraldi crawled his way towards Faefnir, hoping that he could convince him. Kill me instead, I have nothing more to live for. I cannot heal myself and I refuse to live off someone else's care. Just kill me.
Keralin couldn't bear to do anything, he was simply useless within his own thoughts.

Re: The quest of death
- Faefnir and Laverra just stood there looking at them both. They didn't understand any of this. How could killing another friend bring more friends back. If Faefnir or Aeraldi could bring star and Eriel back from this vault, why couldn't they just bring themselves back. Fankor was about to shoot Aeraldi with his bow when he asked Faefnir ," Are you ok with this?"-

Re: The quest of death
-Fankor was still pulled between the two. He didn't want to kill either of them."Laverra i could use a second opinion here," Fankor asked through his mind. "Well... If we have to choose... Kill Aeraldi. In his state I don't think he would be able to open the vault from this side,"Laverra answered him back. Fankor nodded and without a second though, shot an arrow into the back of Aeraldi's skull before he would feel any emotions about it. Just like that, Aeraldi was lifeless...-
OCC-so i believe its now Aeraldi's turn. sorry i didn't ask you if i should go be4 you, but now you atcually have something to do in your turn lol

Re: The quest of death
OOC: Its ok, probably best that you did.
It was an interesting sensation having the arrow fired through his skull, he could feel it there yet there was no pain. He couldn't control his body anymore which slumped to the ground. When his felt his spirit leave the body he looked at himself and was happy that his body was whole, but confused because it was grey and had two little dragons following him. It was then he understood, then that he knew what he was. He felt a calm peace fall over him and he could see the gates and all the beings passing through it. He also saw the beings waiting for others, mainly, his own mother and father. Mom, dad? He asked. They nodded and smiled. Aeraldi was finally able to embrace his parents like he had not for many thousands of years. It is good to see you again, son. Aeraldi's father said. Yes, but we knew it is not time for you yet. His mother said with happiness. Your friends are waiting. Aeraldi looked over and saw Star Gazer, Emrhyst and Eriel. He remembered what he had to do. He gathered up what energy he had left and directed it towards the gate, himself and his friends. He knew there had to be a place to break the bonds of the world on both sides. He just hoped there was enough energy left in his body to do as such. It is time to leave. I'm not sure if you will remember this when you leave but those two dragons that you know now would have been my children. Aeraldi gestured to the two little dragons circling him, they both nudged his face. Aerlaid got to work after that and forced the gates open bringing along Eriel, Emrhyst and Star Gazer.
Aeraldi's body in the mortal world started to glow with a firey light and slowly lost all color becoming nothing but pure light, then became a hole of darkness. Four beams of light burst forth from the hole heading in the way of their own bodies, except for one. One lingered at the portal in, it seemed as if two other beams of light were circling it. Together they flooded the hole with light, closing it for now. All three lay on the ground next to each other, the three becoming as one. When their light faded, all that was left was a black sleeping dragon. Although he still had his apearance he looked more like a child now than he did before.

Re: The quest of death
Faefnir's eyes grew wider than they ever did before as Fankor shot Aeraldi in the head. No! He shook Aeraldi's body uselessly. You should have killed me! Faefnir then surged away from them and started rocking back and forth in mourning of his love. He didn't see any of the happenings with Aeraldi's body.

Re: The quest of death
Star Gazer smiled down at Aerialdi as she rose and then looked around. Reb was lying in the grass not far from her, new tears ran down her face as she thought of Zantya. Zantya hadn't been in the vault of souls. She hadn't been seen. But that was neither here nor there, for she spotted Faefnir, and tears for him rolled down her face. "Dearest?" She asked knowing she would startle him, but she couldn't help it. She smiled as she waited for him to turn, and see her.
Star Gazer had been so worried when she had seen him go into his rage, that she was afraid for a moment that she had lost him.

Re: The quest of death
OOC: I know. Sorry guys, I don't usually check the Surda section...
IC: Emrhyst smiled and nudged her rider, who quickly came to. They looked at Faefnir with a chuckle and sat down beside Aeraldi, Emrhyst nudging him with her snout uselessly.
OOC:Short... I know. But I'm drying up big for this. Anyone has anymore ideas to keep this going? Or should we end it now?

Re: The quest of death
OOC: Me too
Aeraldi stirred. His mind was slow and groggy, yet his first thought was Whoever woke me up is gonna pay. He didn't know where he was, the surroundings seemed completely alien. He stared into the eyes of a green dragon. They looked familiar but he couldn't place them. Then his memory rushed back in a flash and he sprang up to his feet, preparing for something to attack him. He looked down in astonishment, his body was whole again. Not a scratch had been left. What happened to me?

Re: The quest of death
Faefnir could hear through his tears and constant sobbing a voice that was familiar to him. The sweetest voice he had ever heard in his life. He slowly turned his neck and looked behind him. And standing right there, as if nothing had happened to her, without a scar on her body, was Star gazer, her dark purple body glistening under the setting sun of the East. His eyes went wide, and at first he had disbelief, then happiness. He smiled wolfishly and rushed at his mate and grabbed her around the body, hugging in the human fashion rather awkwardly. He didn't say anything, but allowed tears of joy to shower down his face.

Re: The quest of death
OOC: Alright I'll end it.
IC: Star Gazer smiled at Faefnir and shook her head. " I told you I would be fine. Although I am touched that you care. I must be lucky." Star Gazer said looking around amazed at all of her friends. She couldn't believe what they had done. Casualties all around her, dispair was a strong sent as she looked at all of her friends. "How?"She asked amazed and then caught movement. Reb was awakening and a new sensation hit Star. Zantya was gone. Reb was human with shade attributes. Still not ageing.
All color was gone from Reb's face as she looked at Star and knew her dragon was feeling the same thing she was. A member of their family had died.
Zantya was gone, and as sure as Reb knew it, she had to say it.
"The quest of death indeed took a life." ------------------------------------------------------------Finish for me.

Re: The quest of death
Emrhyst purred softly and stood up, sighing as she remembered Zantya.I'll miss her... She said softly. Eriel looked back. "Won't we all?" Emrhyst sighed again. At least she died saving not one but two lives. She looked at Reb and Star Gazer. Eriel sighed and shot an arrow into the air then lit it on fire and making it explode in the air, forming an image of Zantya upon Star Gazer. "Hope you're seeing this Zantya, wherever you are..." Eriel said softly.

Re: The quest of death
OOC: I'll Go
Aeraldi looked around, everyone was sad and mourning the loss of their friend. He wasn't sure how he should feel as he had never actually had a friend. At least lower your head in memory of a great warrior. I can do that. He thought as he lowered his head. He was sad knowing that he would never have the chance to find out just how great of a warrior she was though. Yet another bit of knowledge infiltrated his mind at that moment. He remembered that he had died and managed to bring himself back from death. He smiled lightly to himself knowing that he was powerful enough to pull that off. I wonder how I can use that power to my own ends. He wondered silently.
----------How deep does Aeraldi's power go?
OOC: I little short for an ending piece but it has a nice twist.

Re: The quest of death
Sorry lol i totally forgot about this RP... ive been waiting for introductions to get moving again .... alright let me think about what to write - Fankor and Laverra both were happy to see it was all over, but at the same time saddened by the loss of a friend. As time move forward, Fankor remembered how long it has been since he had seen his own family. " Thank-you all," Fankor looked up at everyone." Thank-you for all the help you have given Laverra and I. I am very sorry about Zantya. She was a good friend to all of us. Now after this long Journey I think it's time that we headed back home to be with our Family. I will never forget any of you. You were all such good friends to me," Fankor stopped as Laverra Jumped in,"Yes, This trip will never be forgot an neither will any of you. Hopefully we can see each other again which im pretty sure we will." Laverra lowered to allow Fankor to Hop on. Laverra stood back up an prepared for flight.

Re: The quest of death
Faefnir prummed softly for the loss of one his most powerful, most unusual friends. He embraced Star gazer, feeling her pain for being seperated from the one who had raised her since hatching and made her the dragon she is today. Do not fear, my mate. We will see her again, and not neccessarily in the Vault. Zantya is powerful--she will return to us one day. He then turned to the group. His eyes lingered on Laverra and Fankor. You two did an amazing job. None of us would be here were it not for your courage and determination. I hereby name the both of you fully trained Rider and dragon. Do great deeds worthy of legend, and protect the people of this land as your charge dictates. His eyes lingered for a few seconds on Aeraldi, but he didn't say anything. The he looked at the wasteland, riddled with draconian bodies. His heart became heavy with grief for the destruction and death he had caused, and from that day forward, he swore never to cause such a disaster again. Then he took his reborn mates hand and took off toward his desert stronghold so they could start the rebirth process of Alagaesia. Thank you, Star gazer. For everything you have done.
-------------------------------------Fine-------------------------------
OOC: Woohoo! It's done at long last!
