Has anyone read these awsome books? They are about a kid named Percy Jackson, and he's son of the greek sea god. Anyways, there are all of these half gods (children or Hermes, Arphodite, inc.) but I wont go any farther or I'll spoil it.

Oooh I read those!!!! The third one one came out a little while ago. It's called The Titan's Curse and I just finished it. These books are tied for 2nd for all time favorite books with the Underland Chronicles and they are both behind the Inheritance Trilogy (obviously).
These books are soooo cool they all have a super unexpected twist at the end (if you read them you would know what I mean). It includes original characters like Annabeth who is daughter of Athena and Grover, a satyr. These books are packed with action, adventure, and comedy. Plus it's packed with all sorts awesome of Greek myths, most of which are modernized.

ah yes, i read one of those books on the urging of my brother. I don't think they are as fantastic as other books I have read. I'm not saying I hate them, just not for me. Plus, there are no dragons (or Saphira for that matter) in the series and that's a big minus for me.

These books are really cool... I read the first one when i was bored at camp... it was EbrithilAryas...

They sound interesting, but I'd like to know more.

Personally I loved the short story but I wish he'd hurry up with book 4, he says he's putting the final touches on it now but it's scheduled release is May 2008 No word yet on the title or cover

me either, there a good series to read while waiting for the third book to come out. I had to write a book report on The Lightning Thief for homework and it was a lot easier because i actually liked the book

lucky you, i rarely get interesting books to write about, and if i do the report tarnishes my enjoyment

yeah i kinda though it would do that... but thankfully i visited EbrithilAryas house and she gave me the other books in the series which kinda prevented the tarnishing...hehe cus you know i still liked the other books!

Actually, Rick Riordan thinks it will probably come out sometime in May, he just got the first draft back from his editor and he has to revise it. He's still thinking of the title though.

Someone gave me the Lightning Thief, but it sounded SOOOO boring that I didn't read it for a year. So is it really good? Plz rate it out of 10

i just started the third book i love this seires. hope it is good as the last two.

I would rate it a 12 out of 10. If someone asks me my favorite book it puts me in agony to decide between the Inheritance Trilogy and the Percy Jackson and the Olympians series. Part of why I love it is that I'm extremely interested in myths, especially one concerning Greek gods. I love these books and apparently I'm not the only one. It's the second best selling children's series ever, behind Harry Potter.

Yeah, someone said it earlier, go look for it. I hate how basically all the authors of the book series I like had a meeting and decided to torture me by making the release dates so far away...

i would hate too have to read those books for school, because you would have to go into the deeper meaning of the book, but i LOVED IT for pleasure reading.
