It is unfortunate that a lot of the older breed people don't post anymore...however, new blood on SF isn't necessarily a bad thing. The new members need to just get active and be known.

Older members need to make them feel welcome though. It's easy to be intimidated as a new member..sometimes they feel that they can't fit into the cliquey nature of the forums.

I remember the feeling ha ha, we all want to be like Siv. We want everyone in the site to know us.

I checked and since January 1st, we have had 5 pages of new members: and for every page there has been 1 user that becomes and active member. Unless you don't count the fifth page because it just started. Anyways people who have joined that are active:

There is a fine line that defines "active" though.
