The book doesn't have to have a decisive ending for CP to be able to go back and write more stories in Alagaesia. I soooooo want this book to have a happy ending. Not only do Eragon and Arya deserve it, but a ton of other characters deserve it as well.
As for that interview about the first Eragon being an entirely different story than inheritance....I remember reading that interview somewhere too.
