Astridell, and the Dragon Bjorn

Age:- She's so old she doesn't remember her age, but she was there when Rhunon forged the first rider's sword

Gender: - Female

Skills: Magic, and Mind: Astridell had a lot of years to practice magic, and grew very good at it. For hundreds of years she did nothing but study magic, and how to create better spells. As a result she is one of the best at using magic in all of Alagaesia. She may not have the strength of most dragon riders, but she compensates for it by knowing better spells that take less energy. After completing her study of magic Astridell spent another few hundred years practicing with her mind. She got to be so good that only someone very determined and strong could break into her mind. She also learned how to sneak under the barriers of other people's minds.
Beauty: She uses her beauty, and false appearance of youth to poison the minds of men, and to control them. It is rare that her beauty doesn't affect someone--whether man with desire, or woman with overwhelming jealousy. Because of her long life span she has had practice at what she does. Once she convinces a man to go somewhere with her he is never seen as a free man again--if he is ever seen again at all.
Sword: The only other skill Astridell acquired was with her blade. After completing her first two skills she worked on her swordsmanship for a few hundred years, then she practiced all three until the fall of the riders. By this time few could defeat her with the sword, and pride crept into her as she realized how powerful she was... Her pride allowed others who were much weaker than her finally begin to defeat her, and that's when she joined Galbatorix...

Weaknesses: - I'd rather not tell all of them. Astridell has a lot of them, and I want others to figure them out on their own, but here are a few. Her pride is her biggest weakness. Astridell believes she can do anything, and everything short of bringing back the dead. As a result Astridell often fails with her attacks of magic, with the sword, or with her mind. Greed is not really a weakness for Astridell except when it comes to the elven kingdom. She will throw away the greatest treasure without a second thought as long as gaining the elf throne is her only goal. Those are the tiniest fraction of her weaknesses.

Character Personality: Astridell is not merciful, and none would ever beg anything of her because of the fear that she would torture them. She didn't start out like that, but her years in Uru'baen hardened her. She Hates it when people seek her for advise, and if they weren't of significance they wouldn't live more than a minute after their questions. Despite her beauty, and what she does to capture people with it, she is not flirtatious in the slightest, and dislikes the idea immensely. The best way to describe her personality is compare her to the White Witch in Narnia. Astridell is not greedy after gold or jewels, only the elven kingdom. She enjoys watching anything, and everything (except her dragon, and herself) suffer. Her favorite part of capturing a prisoner is torturing them. Overall the best way to describe Astridell is evil. Completely in every aspect. Despite all these things about her she always looks on the bright side of life. At least... The bright side of life from her perspective of evilness. The only people who would want to be friends with her besides her dragon would have to be nearly as evil as herself. Indeed, anyone else who tried to be her friend would soon be either dead or in the slave markets of Uru'baen

Character History: Astridell smiled as she listened to the human dragonrider's plan. Galbatorix promised her the kingdom of the elves if she would help him. "Alright, I will help you Galbatorix. When you attack Ilirea tomorrow I will pretend to die, and nobody will ever know the truth until it's too late. Tomorrow I will join you in destroying the enemy riders, once, and for all!" Galbatorix didn't realize that at that moment he had just recruited one of his most faithful, and most valuable follower.
The attack went as planned, and the Elves mourned for Astridell, as dead; but they were deceived. Astridell now secretly joined the war on Galbatorix's side, leaving great destruction wherever she went. One day, a year after the fall of the riders, Astridell was ambushed by a large party of soldiers, and magicians. Astridell had no choice but to run, and run she did. Astridell ran through a dark valley filled with shining black stones, looking for a place to hide. She ran until she found a small cave that she hid in, and used an oval stone to partly block the door. Not a stone Astridell realized when she saw the veins on it. A Dragon egg! For a week Astridell remained hidden there with the egg, when on the day she was about to leave the egg hatched, and that was the beginning of her years as a rider.
Astridell had sneaked into the places where riders were taught, and had learned long ago all the lessons a rider would. Her Dragon was the only one who would need training.
Astridell left the dark valley, and entered Du Weldenvarden, and sought out Rhunon in secret, and asked her to make a Black riders blade. Rhunon didn't know that Astridell was supposed to be dead, or that she was an enemy, therefore she made the blade. After Astridell had her blade she went to Uru'baen where she stayed for 98 more years, and finally Galbatorix gave her permission to once again terrorize many people's hearts.

Weapons: A Black rider's sword, and one of, if not the last one Rhunon made before taking her oath.

The blade is twisted like the one in the picture, but is Jet black, and much longer. The hilt was made for two hands, but is fine with only one. Astridell named the blade: Sverd Sethier (Witch Sword, and I forgot how to spell sethier)

Animal Companions: - Her Dragon; Bjorn

Character's Physical Description: Astridell is lean, and tall at six ft. Even among the Elves she was always considered one of their greatest beauties. Which she uses to her advantage. Astridell has waist length, wavy, jet black hair like silk, and eyes the color of ivory. Her eye color was always the only thing that held her back from being the most beautiful elf, and they marked her for life, as to what her true identity was.
Astridell usually wears a silk, and jeweled dress, even when she is out flying on Bjorn. Astridell is also known for her other oddity. She has six fingers instead of five, and she is used as a story to frighten children who live in the Empire.

Dreams for the Future: - To overthrow Islanzadi, and all those loyal to her, and become queen of the elves.

Reason for Dreams: - Because she has always longed to be a mighty ruler.

History: Bjorn's egg was hidden in a place with black stones to camouflage it while he was still in his egg. His egg was supposed to go to the riders, but his parents didn't like the idea. That's why they hid him.
After Bjorn hatched he learned a great many things about flight maneuvering, and even how to shrink himself, and grow back to his original size. For 99 years Bjorn enjoyed serving his rider Astridell, and the man she served: Galbatorix.
He always has, and he always will. He is completely devoted to both his rider, and the king.

Personality: Bjorn acts very much like his name suggests (bear). He can have hot headed tempers that come in a single second, and take hours to leave. Bjorn is very good at riddles, and a very good battle commander. He and Astridell tend to be more like 2 small wholes put together to make a greater whole. Separate they feel almost complete, only missing each others presence. Bjorn loves to make the awkward looking two-legs bow before him, and he loves being the center of attention. Bjorn (and Astridell also) loves to show off, and have his elegance displayed. Bjorn believes that Dragons and their riders were meant to be worshiped, and he will go to great pains to make others bow before him.

Colour: - Jet Black with off white eyes

Appearance: Bjorn is large because of his age, yet he has the ability to shrink himself to any convenient size, but no smaller than a large pony. When Bjorn is his normal height he is 60 ft tall--which can make it hard to find accommodation. Bjorn is Jet black all over except his strange eyes. He and Astridell both have off-white ivory colored eyes, and her hair is the exact same shade of Jet black that Bjorn's scales are. Bjorn's scales are stronger than most Dragons, but his black spikes, claws, and fire cannot harm other dragons.
