what if vroenguard is the rock of kuthain, but kuthain is like a god or something? it would make sense! see, solembum couldve been speaking a riddle. "go to the rock of kuthain and speak your name to the vault of souls." translation: go to the home of this god and tell him your true name. makes sense doesnt it??

ha! i told u making this theory a post was a good idea! that's one 4 i-luv-saphira, 0 for everyone else! lol. anyway, on topic. the rock of kuthian could very well b the house of a god or goddess. but like u said in another post, we can't know until the time comes. but that is a very good idea and i will keep that in mind when i read Empire sometime in the next year or two.

sounds gd, however the only ppl tht blieve in Gods are the dwarves, humans blieve in many things. y would solumbum tell eragon to go to the home of the gods? seein as he is also an animal of magic and very powerfully linked to elves as dragons are, wouldnt he not blieve in gods??? i think its a gd idea but i dnt think it makes sense tht solumbum would tell eragon to go to the gods + there r to many books written about gods and including thm as it is

hmmmmm.... i think i have an answer to that dilemma. no one is right. Kuthian is just the one all-powerful God that rules over everything else. It basically goes back to the most logical theory of theology. One God got everything started, then he allowed his subordinates, aka angels and saints, to take over from there. So, Kuthian may be this one God that got everything started, then he allowed the lesser dwarven and human gods to take over. They implicated science so they wouldn't have to do much, so that gave root to the beliefs of the elves. The weakness to this theory is as follows: Are gods really that lazy? Perhaps Eragon and Saphira will find that out when they go the Rock of Kuthian.

Does make sense, The rock OF Kuthian, maybe its a special rock where a god apeared, but Arya says that she does recognise the word, and elves dont belive in Gods so it could actually be an anchient elf named Kuthian or maybe even a rider...

I don't think that there is a god in Alagaesia. And the Rock of Kuthian is probably what it sounds like: a rock. It might just be at Vroengard, noting that Arya remembered it from somewhere. The thing about the Vault of Souls is more cryptic though. We will have to find out just what it means.

it's symbolic. gosh. where do most people think souls reside? HEAVEN! like, THE HEAVENS! THE SKY!!! The sky can be referred to as THE VAULT OF HEAVEN!
