If Murtagh now has Za'roc, could Eragon and the third rider recieve the two guarded swords? It fits all prefaces: original rider swords that may be blue and green, made before Rhunön's oath.

Murtagh - Za'roc - Thorn- Red
Eragon - gaurded - Saphira - Blue
? - gaurded - ? - Green

All three would be made before the fall of the riders. Also, the original riders of these two swords may be mirrors of Eragon and ?. Murtagh and Morzan, slightly different yet they share many defining qualities, ect. The swords would be the inheritance of the old riders to the new riders.

it's a sword, magical properties it has. when eragon goes to the vault of souls with it, the souls of the dead rider combine with the sword, making eragon stronger. just my lil theory

I think Svit-Kona is right and the menoa tree gives eragon magic because that is the only thing murtagh could best eragon at.

then wat abt a sword? eragon no longer has a sword and he can probably learn all the magic there is from oromis. moreover rhunon, the elf who made swords for the dragon riders has sworn not to make any oreswords. eragon can't possibly go without a sword wen he faces galby or murtagh in the final showdown, can he?

maybe she can break it, cuz eragon told murtagh there could be a way to break oaths. so, that might make it possible.

ok. i think that eragon will look under the roots of the menoa tree and find broom's sword. because when eragon was talking to eragon she said that the sword she made for him was lost and that he could not find it. and when she asked her to make him a new one she refused. does anyone know where that sword is? NO! so it is probably under the roots of the menoa tree.

I think that Eragon will find the first Eragon's sword because how could Brom have put his sword under the Menoa tree??? Arya would have heard about it because I think that Brom would have had to ask the queen to put it there. He wouldn't of had to ask if he had still been a Dragon Rider, but his dragon was killed. So he wouldn't have been above her authority then.

Ppl, I just thought of something. CP lives in America, right? Now, everyone, recite the colors of the American flag to yourself. If you're smart, you'll see where I'm going with this. So far there have been two eggs to hatch. Saphira= blue, Thorn=red. Now I'm gonna guess that the last dragon will be white because CP has already put two of the U.S.A.'s flag colors into his books.
The only color that he is missing is white. Now, I know a bunch of you think that the last dragon will be green sooo, remember, my opinion only...

no mutagh i don't think so because of what solembum says ~listen closely and i will tell you two things. when the time comes and you need a weapon, look under the roots of the menoa tree. then, when all seems lost and your power is insufficent, go to the rock of kuthian and speak your name to open the vault of souls~
so i believe a riders sword may be under the menoa tree but I know for a fact that he won't get any power from the menoa tree. As to the colour of the sword under the tree i can only guess

And we all forgot the key ingredient that made this mess. Galbatorix. For all we know he is better than Eragon at sparring and magic both. I think Eragon will find a sword under the Menoa tree. Or maybe a bow. More than likely a sword as Islandzadi gave him a bow before he left.

a bow would be useless agaisnt galby or any magic leaders as they would have wards around them like in Eldest at the final battle stopping arrows from hitting them

If Arya became the Rider of the last dragon, that would pose a problem. She would be uncomfortable knowing how she had treated Eragon and that they would have a harder time avoiding each other. Well, she would have a harder time avoiding him.

Arya DEFINETELY shouldnt be a Rider because of the feeling between her and Eragon

Did I miss something? When did he say that? I now for a fact it wasn't in the books, unless the books are different in every country. It never said in the books what color the last dragon will be. I guess we won't know until the book comes out, huh?

he has confermed the book to be green with a green dragon on the front 1 was blue with saphira on the front 2 was red with thorn on the front it's only logical that the last one is the colour of the last dragon egg
