The budget is completely irrelevant to how good a movie is. Spider man was a completely well done movie. So was harry potter and the goblet of fire. So it is all completely up to the script writer

but if you have very low budget you have a very good sripewriter for nothing

your right, except when its got enough emotion, or you use it right. star wars I might, might, have been better if it had the spec effec of today, the ones used for LOTR III, and Star Wars III.

if they use it right, not prob. its supposed to be medivaL. just make saphira and the magic good, and the swords will do the rest (at least for me)

WOW! That is a lot to put into a movie. And with industrial light and magic doing the special effects it's got to be great...especially if they put 1 million doolars into this production.

Now that I've seen the movie, I say that the costumes and settings and props and such were brilliant! So was all of the digital shots! What I find lacking though was the battle and the Varden. Sure their costumes were okay, but they didn't even mention the Isidar Mithrim and the large mountain in the volcano. To me, they should have spent more money on those and such. The more money you spend on a movie definitely affects the outcome of it.

do we really care what the budget is? we just want to see the whole thing crash and burn so that they can remake everything and maybe get it right. (that's optimistic. they couldn't get 1+1 right even if the answer was right next to them).

Well, said to a degree. LOL. A lot of times the budget doesn't really matter, especially now after like two years after the movie's been released.

yeah. i dont really think theyre going to make an eldest movie anyway. i mean, what is it going to be about? eragon training? that's a boring movie. roran fighting ra'zac? yeah, probably. but then it wouldnt be an eldest movie, it would be "Roran: Fight with Ra'zac!" or something. so this whole "is there going to be an eldest movie?" thing is pointless.

Yes, I agree. If they did make the movie (which there is about a 97% chance that they won't) they'd have to balance out the Eragon and Roran stories. If they focus on Eragon's training too much, then it would be very boring. But if they focused on Roran fighting the Ra'zac, then we'd be getting away from our main hero. They'd have to do kinda like I did in my Eldest script!

Okay, well if they did it right, there is a chance that it wouldn't be. But it's all opinionated. I liked the Eragon movie to a degree. I liked it as a movie, but when you compare it to the book... well it was just horrendous!

yeah. i guess i did like eragon the movie as a movie, but it didnt compare. but im just saying eldest might be good as a movie, but i dont think theyll even get that far, just because of all that is involved in fixing what they messed up in eragon, messing up stuff to make it good, cutting down the length, and messing up more stuff because of all the cutting. because if you think about, the script has to be at max. 20 pages. so how are the going to cut 600 pages down to 20??? a lot and lot of cutting and editing. and the cost. i dont think thats really a issue, but it could be. and...well, basically, i just dont think theyre going to get that far.

And I see your point. They'd nearly have to just make a movie in which they fix all of the mistakes from Eragon, sorta like a movie between Eragon and Eldest. Or they could just remake Eragon. And then they could make Eldest, but they are not going to spend that much money just to please mad fans.

Yeah, that's one reason why I don't think I'd really like have a writing teacher. They tell you how to write stuff, when to me it just comes as I want it. Slowly, you find yourself writing more like them, because they've influenced you. Writing is more of an art and talent than a standard form. You've either got it or you don't.

yeah. and each person needs to have a separate style that has or doesn't have things that the teacher wants you to have. the separate style helps get you an audience that really appreciates your work for what it is.
