You have to use your true name to open it, but maybe once you do you can see others' names.

in the book you know how it said that people went on a quest or what not to find there true name mabye they had to find the valt of souls. It knows every bodys true name

Exactly, so maybe he finds his true name under the menoa tree to open the vault of souls. It could count as a weapon, because the vault of souls could make him stronger, or know others true names, which is a weapon to defeat galby in a way, so his own true name under the tree could count as a weapon, if you can see through my complicated explanation.

i doubt it... elves know them instinctively.. like they r born with it in there heads... but he wasnt born half elf.. so he wasnt born with half of it in his head.

even if shrukan was twisted he wouldn't be able to be bonded with galby if he was a shade

mabey galby doesn't know thier true names. he could be puting on a show and murtagh believed him and didn't want to put up a fight so he took all the oaths galby wanted him to.

that is a pretty good idea... idk though. murtagh is pretty smart. i think he would make galby prove it like make murtagh go do a certain task taht he doesnt want to to prove it. i dont think murtagh would fall for it though

Well yeah, Eragon is going to have to kill Galby somehow.

This is as big of a mystery as where is the Rock of Kuthian, where is the Vault of Souls, what's under the Menoa tree and a lot of other ones!

They are all mysteries that will hopefully be uncovered in the third book.

I heard the third book will be released in the summer of 2007.That is a long time.

I think they can, I don't know what they are though, maybe they combine skulbaka with that name and there you have that dragon's name in the AL.
