Skills-With the sword. she is very highly skilled, and with a dagger she has excellent aim. She is unpredictable and very creative, giving her an advantage in all areas, especially in swordsmanship and magic. She has senses unaffected by magic-can see through an illusion, can hear through a silence spell, et cetera.

Weaknesses-She has difficulty dealing with demons and dark magic.

History-Mari has always lived alone in the forest Du Weldenvaren, with no memory of her parents and fending for herself. She very rarely saw anyone else until she met the shade, Kanarzia, who became a part of her body and eventually taught her to fight. A few years later she stumbled upon one of the empire’s patrols, and, while fighting them off accidently discovered she could use magic. After that, Kanarzia taught Mari in magic, too, and she became surprisingly adept, and her creativity giving her a big advantage, as she could think up spells other magicians would not think to ward against. Some time after that, she gathering firewood when she was attacked by a demon, and she recieved a long cut on her arm. The injury healed, but ever since, the scar would itch whenever demons were near, and shehad difficulty fighting dark magic. Years later, Mari came upon a red female dragon being attacked by Galbatorix’s men. She managed to fight off the soldiers, but when they were gone, the dragon was barely alive. She laid an egg, made Mari promise to keep it, and she died. For a year they lived together until they decided to leave the empire and go out into the world, and do what they could to help dethrone Galbatorix. For several months they flew throughout the emire, creating what chaos they could, until, while flying along the coast by Surda’s western border, they were attacked by the empire. They were rescued by the varden, though, and after that they became a part of the varden.

Personality-Mari is very friendly and loving, and she trusts easily, but she is easily angered and slow to forget, and she is rather prone to hasty decisions. She is very cheerful, and she likes blue skies and laughter. Mari is an artist and loves painting, drawing, and sculpting. She is very honest and always completely loyal to her friends. Due to her long isolation, she is very adventurous and wants too see as much of the world as possible to make up for staying in the forest for so many decades.Mari often wonders where she comes from and who her parents are, as she remembers nothing beyond living all alone in Du Weldenvarden, and it sometimes saddens her that she remembers nothing about who she is. If she believes something is right, she will stand by it like iron, and if she dedicates herself to something she will see it through, no matter the cost. She loves everything alive in nature and likes to walk among the trees and to watch the birds and animals of the forest and the fish in the stream. She is always willing to help those in need. Her shade counterpart, Kanzania, is very fierce and will always defend her beliefs, and is much wiser than Mari, a better judge of character, and less prone to hasty decisions.

Appearance-Tall, with a long scar on her right arm and hair that keeps falling in her eyes. She usually wears brown pants and shirt and a leaf-green cape. Everything about her is beautiful and graceful, in spite of her rough clothes. In elf form, she has long, curly dark brown hair halfway down to her waist and yellow eyes. In shade form, she has short blue-black hair down to her shoulders and violet eyes. In cat form, she is a big, swift black panther with emerald eyes.

History-Karden’s egg was laid and given to Mari by his mother, an unknown red dragon, just before she died. He hatched for Mari and as he grew up he could fly at extraordinary speeds, faster than almost any other dragon in the world. Like with all dragons, Karden’s groth was explosive, but strangely, it stopped at five months, leaving him tiny, much smaller than other dragons. He learned to beathe fire at eight months.

Personality-Like all dragons, Karden is very wise, and he is very fiercely protective of Mari. He will help and protect any who need a friend. He is not angered easily, but when he is, he is extremely violent, especially if Mari is in danger. He loves to fly, an does not like enclosed places. He sometimes wonders who his parents were and were they came from, and wishes he could have known them. He hates Galbatorix because of what he took away from him.

Appearance-Aqua neck, teal back, ocean blue belly, Sky blue tail, aqua-green claws, pale blue-green neckspikes and horns, deep, soft, understanding eyes an ice blue, wingspan 15 feet, very tiny and agile, for some reason he stopped growing completely at 5 months.

Reason for dreams-Karden hates galbatorix because of what he did to the race of dragons and because he was responsible for his mother's death.
