who here's an otaku? (otaku are people who like/love anime(japanese cartoons) or manga(japanese comics). most have a whole bookshelf full of manga/anime, but i just realized i'm otaku and i'm borrowing the dvds and books from my friend.)

what all do you watch?

i've started watching negima and grenadier.
i also watch inuyasha and fullmetal when i get the chance
trinity blood and bleach are good too. i wish i could get my mom to subscribe to the anime channel...

i've read negima vol. 1 and 2, azumanda diaoh 1-4, genshiken vol. 1-3, and alot of others i cant remember.

well idunno, is pokemon anime? coz i play the GBA games of it.... XD

it's old, but it originated in japan, so yeah, it's anime. you should really watch adult swim on cartoon network if you can get it. on saturdays, like today, at about midnight i think trintiy blood and bleach are on.

im in australia, so it's sunday for me! and we dont have satelite, or cable, or whatever you guys call it.

ok. there's always buying anime at the store. just look for like a borders or barnes and nobles or whatever your bookstores are called down there. or if there's just an anime shop look there.

i'd reccomend going to a bookstore and buying the Negima! series if they have it

are graphic novels anime? coz i read a couple yugioh ones of them, i was really bored!

graphic novels are manga, anime is the shows, dvds, and stuff on screen. graphic novels, manga, is the books. negima, my favorite manga, is about a 10 year old boy named negi who has graduated from a magic academy and is supposed to teach at a japanese school. the school he goes to is Mahora academy, an all girls school. anyway, he gets assigned to teach 31 girls english. the manga's hilarious, yet with a romantic air about it.

lol, you're right, there are hardly ever any anime shows on over here. I guess it's not a big thing here. I don't like anime or manga, but I love the artwork. I've painted an anime/manga-style drawing onto my final canvas painting in art class. Hate the books/TV, love the drawing style.

i no! my wall is covered in drawings of anime tho i love to watch/read it aswell.

their not really that weird. i'd rather see women look more like the girls in anime/manga, but that's me personally, and that's one specific reason i know i'm an otaku.

i LOVE anime and manga, although i dont read it a lot. I love Naruto, Inuyasha, Zatch Bell, Trinity Blood, Cowboy Beebop, FullMetal Alchemist, Yugioh/YugioGX, One Piece and a lot of others! I like the anime movies to like Spirited Away, Princess Mononoke, Castle In the Sky and all the other good stuff!

I won't say I'm an otaku,, but I do love manga and anime.

Yesterday I bought 3 of 50 cents DVDs,

1. Inuyasha episode 1-44
2. Detective Conan the movie 5 in 1
3. Ah! My Goddess (season 2 ) episode 1-12



And I also have Hunter x Hunter anime (ep. 1-72), Naruto (ep. 1-18 ) and three of Sailor Moon the Movie
and I also have hundreds of manga comics,, and dozens of mangascans (scanlatios)

Btw is anyone heard about "Death Note" ?

Magister Negi Magi? that's an awesome manga series. You can find stuff like that all over here in the states. Negima is the best by far. Which episodes have you seen? i've read only read volumes 1 and 2 of the manga, but i hear they have a kiss Negi contest and Nodoka wins. she's the one I want him to end up with. i think i posted a topic about Negima over in the books section. anyone here planning on visiting japan in their lifetime? i'm gonna try to go over there to go to Tokyo U. that's like the harvard of japan tho. lol, i'd hafta do alot before i could even understand more than the simple greeting in japanese.

Im watching the newer versions of it and bout to watch episode 6. I love them there so funny!!! hes reli cute lol!!!!

I love Miyazaki's work! I also like Naruto. A good friend of mine got me into it. I'm not as big on it as her, but I still love it. My dad also likes anime. I probably have potential to be a huge anime fan, but I don't be believe being to into anything just really liking it. Okay, I'm such a hypocite. I am totally obcessed with certain things.

i love anime/manga i've watched every vol of fullmetal alchemist, read every vol of fullmetal panic!, and every cursed sword, and every fruit basket. watched several of the Naruto vols, and i've seen every Wolf's Rain vol 1-7 twice. i've watched R.O.D, and Azumangadiao.

not to mention a vast assortment of toher anime and manga.

AZUMANGA DAIOH!!!!!!!! that's an awesome manga! osaka, chiyo-chan, and sakaki(the big tall one who's pretty much cat bait, right?) are the only ones that i remember. i havent read it for a while, but i do remember that their teacher didnt know how to drive tho. lol. has anyone read jing king of bandits? that's a pretty good one too.

i forgot to mention that i like inyuyasha and Flame of Recca.

inuyasha is awesome. isnt fullmetal panic just like the book version or the sequel to fullmetal alchemist? i havent seen/heard flame of recca tho.
