Where did you stumble across Eragon
I stumbled across Eragon when I got it as a present from one of my friends. I was 14 at the time. I was very busy, so I left it lying on my bookshelf for a year before I could read it.

Re: Where did you stumble across Eragon
Well, I stumbled across Eragon when I was at a bookstore. I was tired of reading the same old things (I reread books, by the way) so I bought a copy and tried it. Honestly, I didn't really think it would be that good, but it was one of the best books I had ever read! I have reread it twice since then and I still love it every time!

my cousin loved the book but I didn't feel like reading it, so I watched the movie and LOVED it!! Though my cousin hated it! I wanted to know why he (and everyone else) hated it, so I read Eragon and I was like "holy crap this movie sucks!!!"

my sister told me about the books. So one day when she wasn't home I stole the books from her room and now they are PERMANENTLY in my room.

I was looking around in the library and was taunted with Eldest for weeks on end, but wasn't going to read it because I realized that Eldest was the second book. Eventually got irritated about it and decided to just read Eldest, after looking at the book one synopsis. Didn't happen, my librarian caught me and went "Oh, you like that series? It seems popular!" and I said that no, I'd just picked this one up. She blew a gasket about me breaking my "No skipping books" rule, ordered Eragon, and then let me check it out the next time I came in.
Then a few months later I was begging her to order Brisngr, probably making her wish she'd never gotten the first book in at all.

Re: Where did you stumble across Eragon
My dad gave it to me because I had nothing else to read at my house, and a friend recommended it to him. He shoved the book in my face, (Even though I'm ashamed to say that I didn't want to read it at the time) and told me to find something to do with my life, starting by reading. Hoping that it would get me into other books.
I read the first few pages. I liked it. I went a bit more, it got more exiting. Then, before I knew it, I was flying through the pages, and I had read it near 6 times , and Eldest 4, by the time Brisingr came out. That one I enjoyed the most, and I have read it 12 times now. Though, you should have seen my reaction when I had lost my original copy of Eragon in a theater a few years ago. . . How heartbroken I was. . .

I saw a preview for Eragon on TV when I was watching Disney back in '06, and I went to see the movie. Later I asked my gram for the book. All because my friend Riley didn't eat breakfast, which led to...*launches into long story about chain events*

I saw Eragon on a shelf in Waterstones in Edinburgh. And I asked my Dad if I could get it and he let me. I am glad I choose that book or I wouldn't be here right now. Eragon was amazing!

Back when i was nine or so (maybe a little younger), I had read all the Harry Potter books that were out and was bored so I went looking through my brother's bookshelf and Eragon interested me! I read it and was immediately hooked!

I actually thought Eragon was just some unpopular books or something, but I have been proved wrong...
