Re: Matilda
i've read the BFG (it was okay, meaning more on the bad side) and The Witches, which was better than BFG, but still not great. i think i saw the movie for both of those. i'm not really a big fan of Roald Dahl, cuz his books jus, well, dont interest me! definitely not one of my favorite authors.

Re: Matilda
I used to love Roald Dahl when I was little! His books were some of the first I ever read ^.^
Um... though I think they are aimed at very young children Avatar Aang, so I'm not surprised your not keen lol

Re: Matilda
Yeh they are. I still love fantastic mr fox though! James and the giant peach I didn't like nor Georges marvellous medicine. I've like read them all but I thought the BFG was a little scary. I read it very early though, like in yr 1 all the rest in yr 2 I don't really remember. Except for Fantastic mr Fox which I still have under my bed lol

Re: Matilda
Lol I still have a Roald Dahl treasury somewhere with loads of his stories in it, I've had it for years and years... I don't remember my favourite, I think it was the BFG, though now it does seem a bit scary lol. The only films I ever saw were James and the Giant Peach, and the old version of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.

Re: Matilda
i saw the old version of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, but i never saw the new version. which one's better?
i think that Roald Dahl's books r kinda depressing. most of them bore me when i read them.

Re: Matilda
meh, it depends on how you look at it (quoting Ishmael and the Baudelaires from The End) theyre kinda weird, but it still has a happy ring to it. u can't rly consider charlie and the chocolate factory or the BFG a depressing story, cuz its filled with a lot of comedy and happiness!
i tot the old charlie in the chocolate factory was better, cuz it made u more hungry! but the songs of the oompa-loompas were funnier in the new version!

Re: Matilda
