Things you work hard for
all right I'll tell you guys what I work hard for but in this post right here I just have to tell the story of something I worked really hard for and came out to nothing. it was incredibly ironic and stupid and just wow. but now it makes me laugh lol.
all right, so I always get home before my parents because they work, and I have keys to the house. as soon as I got there, I realized I forgot my keys. I was like, "damn it, now I have to wait for my parents." then, I was just walking around my backyard when for some reason I thought it would be a smart idea to open a window. they were all locked. then I looked at the kitchen one, and when I tried to open it, it worked! unfortunately, there's a big metal thing outside so people can't get in. but on the table, out of my reach, were the keys! I knew that I would have to be able to reach them somehow, so I got a broom from the yard and stuck it inside to try to reach the keys. I felt like it would be impossible because I saw that I would need something twice as long, because the broom wasn't even close to the keys. plus it would need to be thin so I could get it through they little loop thing on the keys. I sat on the lawn, thinking, and then, looking up at the trees, it came to me. I could cut off the branch of a tree. I jumped the fence to the park behind my house and cut a bunch of branches off the trees, then I went to go try them out. none of them were long enough. Then I saw a wire thing on the ground and I stretched it out. it wasn't long enough either. I sat next to the window, thinking how bad my luck was. then it hit me. I could tie the branches together to make a longer stick that would reach! I looked around, but sadly there was nothing to tie the branches with. then the wire on the ground caught my eye. I tried tying the branches with that, and, perfect! it worked. so I stuck the big stick through the window, and I realized that it was a lot harder than it seemed. the stick was very unstable and moved a lot at the smallest move, so you had to be very careful. soon, my arms got really tired. but then, almost by accident, the stick went through the ring thing on the keys. I had done it! now, to bring it back. I carefully and very slowly started to bring the keys back. at this point I was really nervous, because between the table and the window there was only floor, and I didn't want them to fall to the floor or else I would be screwed. finally the keys were in my hand. I put the window back to its original state and gave a big jump. I had done it! the keys were in my hand! I could not believe how awesome that had been. so I walked towards the door and right when I was about to put the key in the lock, I realized something, and it was something that once again, I could not believe. it was incredible how bad my luck was. they were the wrong keys. and then I remembered. I left the keys to the house in my referee bag when I went to go ref on saturday, and my bag was in my room.
so I did all that for nothing. I was frustrated, but now it's just funny. btw, that was a short summary of all the things I tried to get in my house, lol.

Re: Things you work hard for
Uh .. I'll think of a story??
Once, I was sitting in the midst of our huge "group" of friends at school and it happened to be the day the year sevens came into High School, so I brought something to chase the kiddies with; a huge jokers hat. Anyway, I'm going around school with this tinkling jokers hat scaring kids in my creepy, perverted-like ways when some really tall year seven guy stole my hat Anyway, I ran after him, so close to catching up when I forgot there was randomly a metal bench in the middle of the quadrangle and kinda faceplanted the cement. Yeah, I worked towards getting my hat back, luckily I did in the end ^.^ It smells like dero, but it's all good ;P

Re: Things you work hard for
Oohhh, my dog ran away before I got my cell phone. I finally lunged and grabbed one. We live on a gold course, and we were behind someones fence (opposite side of house) and my dog wouldn't budge) I pulled so freakin hard I had marks from her collar. So I sat. I sat for 2 hours until the people at the house came home and gave me a leasg. Guess what? I put the leash on and she begins walking home with me. I am like, "You couldn't have done that 2 hours ago?" I missed dinner, basketball, and my family hasn't noticed I was gone. Also I hadda waste an hour that night to get the rocks, mud, and splinters out of my bare feet.
The next day I got my cell phone, needless to say. My parents realized I might need one when I am watching golfers golf for 2 hours.

I went camping and had to eat a TINY bit of food all day, had to work all day, slept outside under the stars, hauled around a TON of equipment. but i got into the Order Of The Arrow which is a huge honor in boy scouts.

Re: Things you work hard for
Good for you, DBE. Things just seem so much satisfying when you work for them. Like, at school, I didn't have to try this year if I didn't want to. End of the year, already accepted to college, my grades wouldn't make a difference at all. None of the other seniors were trying whatsoever. But I wanted to finish high school on a good note, so I actually tried. Now looking back at it, I don't regret anything. Good feeling, that is
