Alna'ir
Name: Alna’ir (all-nye-yeer)
Age: newborn, grows through rps
Gender: female
Skills: Flight: Alna’ir is an extremely skilled flyer, and it is almost certain she will become as great a flyer as her mother. She will never be as skilled in aerial combat, however, because she hates fighting. She is extremely agile, and extremely fast, and like her mother can fly very high in the air because of her radiation resistant scales. Intelligence: Na’ir is very clever, and is capable of solving difficult problems and working out solutions. She loves to learn new things, and has a vast memory. She loves to delve into research into different matters that pique her curiosity, and she also loves to explore new places and store the layout of the land into her memory. Leadership Skills: As a hatchling, Na’ir is very bossy, but her take-control attitude eventually grows into something much more mature and useful to everyone. She makes a good leader in any situation, though she still has to learn not to be so domineering. Powers: From her mother, Alna’ir has inherited the ability to make her scales glow brightly and to breathe a form of her mother’s starfire, though not as powerful. This flame is starry silver and has capabilities of both normal fire, light fire, and some unique traits which can be used as a weapon against spectral and dark creatures. Her fire has some of the capabilities of Aeraldi’s flame, in that it can heal others as well as harm. When she is using her fire to heal, it turns more blue. Also from Aeraldi, she has inherited some control over magic, and is very skilled in healing magic. She can see through objects, a sort of map vision that Phalynx can use, which is very useful in her exploration.
Race: dragon (wild)
Hair: none
Eyes: bright and piercing green, the same as her mother’s
Home Village: the ruins of Unity, located in a cave above a waterfall that flows into a valley in a mountain range to the northwest of Du Weldenvarden (Phal’s valley)
Parents: Phalynx and Aeraldi
Siblings: Sirius, Polaris, and Saiph
Character Personality: Alna’ir is very adventurous and spirited. She has her mother’s curiosity to an even greater extent, and will stick her nose anywhere she finds interesting enough. She also has her mother’s cleverness, and is good at making plans and solving problems. She is very friendly, and very outgoing. Being the oldest hatchling in her clutch of four, she has grown tough and has the attitude of a leader. She is often the ringleader of the clutch’s explorations, and is notorious for getting her siblings into trouble. She loves to explore and learn about new things, and shares Phal’s love of traveling. Alna’ir will do anything to help her friends and family, but does not like fighting. Despite her outgoing and playful nature, she is never the first to start a fight, and never goes looking for a fight. She respects her parents’ lifestyle of finding and rooting out evil, but will never look for evil herself unless it is to help a friend or family member. As a hatchling, she is rather immature and headstrong, but as she grows she gains a great respect for life, and her bossy behavior is toned down a little. Because she can be very bossy as a hatchling, she sometimes comes off as annoying, but her friendly and constantly cheerful attitude quickly dispel any negative thoughts anyone has of her. She also loves to fly, and is extremely agile and fast in the air.
Character History: Alna’ir’s parents met up in Surda in a fight against the dark shade Nilarek. During the fighting, they realized they loved each other, and eventually performed the mating flight after their triumphant victory. Not long after, Alna’ir and her siblings’ eggs were laid to the north, in Phalynx’s valley. Their nest was constructed in the ruins of Unity, an ancient dragon city. Only three eggs were laid in the clutch, Alna’ir’s being the first. Her egg was also the first to hatch, by hours, in fact. Ever since her hatching she used her hours-older status to act as the leader of her siblings, even if they didn’t like it. And, almost immediately after hatching, she was out of the nest to explore. Alna’ir loved poking her nose into crevices and dark places to find out what was there, and often wandered rather far away from her nest. As soon as her second sibling hatched, her brother Sirius, she immediately began trying to get the new hatchling to play. Alna’ir was very enthusiastic in playing, flapping her wings, play fighting, and pretending to get in all sorts of adventures. Finally, the last egg hatched, and to everyone’s delight (especially Na’ir) there were two hatchlings from the same egg. The little blue dragon was very delighted to have three other siblings to play with and boss around, and as they grew up she was often the ringleader on their little adventures. Most, if not all, of the trouble they got into was because of her.
As Alna’ir grew older, and trained and learned from her parents, she knew that she wanted nothing more than to learn about the world and explore its every corner. She was the first to fledge, and to everyone’s surprise, fledged at two weeks old, the same age as Phalynx. As soon as she could fly well enough, she was out exploring the valley and flying with her parents, and found that she loved flying almost as much as she loved her family. Her resolve to explore the world only grew stronger from that point.
Weapons: Alna’ir prefers not to fight, but if she has to she is fair at aerial combat (simply because she is so good at flying), but is a poor fighter on the ground. Despite lack of skills, she is clever in fighting, and uses this most often in fights. She has sharp claws, a powerful tail, and sharp teeth. She also has a form of starfire, and can make her scales glow brightly, which is a weapon against creatures of darkness.
Likes: flying, her family, her friends, exploring, learning, high places, other dragons
Dislikes: enclosed places, those who love causing pain and suffering, fighting, low places, evil
Animal Companions: none
Character’s Physical Description: Alna’ir is born with deep, medium blue scales and a snow-white belly, throat, and feet. Her wings have dull streaks of extremely dark blue and extremely light blue. As she gets older, her undersides darken to a pale blue, and the streaks on her wings become stark black and white. The scales on her body mix with sky blue. She has very large, extremely bright, piercing green eyes, the same shade as Phalynx’s. She has very large, very powerful wings and a lithe body that is better suited to speed than fighting. She has a long, powerful tail. Alna’ir has two long, webbed, three-spiked fans going back from the sides of her face, and she has a tall webbed crest starting on top of her head and going down to the tip of her tail. The crest is very tall and swept back coming off of her head, lowers about midway down her neck, and gets tall again at the end of her tail, giving her the appearance of having a fin. Her muzzle is short and quite narrow, and the rest of her face is wide, giving her head a bright, triangular appearance.
Dreams for the Future: to protect her friends and family, learn as much as she can, and explore the world
Reason for Dreams: Alna’ir cares a great deal for her loved ones, and will do anything to keep them safe, even if it means fighting. She is extremely curious and loves to fly and see new things and new places.
Alignment/side: always with her friends and especially family, which means she is aligned with good
