The most likely world ending scenario is an asteroid I think, now that I ponder this more. I highly doubt we will survive here on Earth for four billion more years. We could destroy ourselves with viruses or nuclear weapons, but fortunately those in control of such weapons are rational enough... or an alien invasion.

whats SPACEGUARD?? and they have found asteroids in the same area as pluto that are bigger than it, even a lot of moons are bigger than pluto, and by the new definition of a planet, pluto reflects light, making it an icy rock, not a planet

People say but that doesn't make it a fact.
And just because it can reflect light doesn't mean it is not a planet. I doubt that the "new" defimition has anything to say about a planet not being able to reflect light.

spaceguard is a nasa(american space agency) program to detect near earth orbiting asteriods. but it is underfunded and underdeveloped.

It doesn't really matter whether pluto is a 'planet' or not. I grew up with it being so, and I'm obstinate. *shrugs* What gets me is the waste of human resources puzzling up a new definition of 'planet'. Is there seriously nothing better to do?

We do not know much at all about pluto actually. Astronomers have determined it does have an icy surface and a barely existent atmosphere. Past that, we really have no idea. We have no close up images or readings of Pluto.
(there's a current robotic spacecraft that will reach it in 2016)
