here is my pathetic attempt at writting poetry, i hope its not to bad

Dear rain wash over me, wash over me like a stream o'er the rocks. Precious rain hide my tears and wash away all my pain. Wash o'er my soul and cleanse me from within. Soothing rain hide me, hide me so my soul can heal itself, so once again i may feel alive. Wind, sweep over me, take me somewhere i have never been, somewhere where it is safe to hide. Wind, cleansing wind, blowing through the trees, whipping through my hair and scattering the leaves. Wind, beloved wind, let me ride with you on an updraft so clear and high, so my heart can feel free in the wide open sky. Snow beautiful snow, fall around me and let me feel the cold, sweet savor of your snowflakes on my fingertips. Let the white of your winter surround me as innocense surrounds a child. The chill of your breeze blowing through the barren trees. Oh dear winter, surround me i pray, until the last of my hollow days

Here's another one:

Rose petals, soft as silk on a bed white as snow. You with me, the perfect picture. Fall days turn to winter nights and you hold me close. Together again, im happier than i've ever been. Leaves fall from the trees as we walk together hand in hand, heart to heart. I love you and i always will. You love me, you say for eternity. I would be lost without you, you give me purpose and a life worth living. You have my heart and the key to it. "You'll probably never know how much you mean to me" you tell me as you hold me close again. A love, strong as the mountains we sit and watch. A love as long lasting as the stars we see, lying on the beach, listening to the waves crash on the sand. Lillies bending in the wind on a warm summer day, running through the fields i feel you close to me, a kiss we share in that beautiful moment. But our love came to an end. Like a river flowing swiftly, you left me. "It's not you, it's me" you told me before you left. Like rain falling from the sky, my tears fell to the ground. My heart was torn apart like a jigsaw puzzle but there was no one to put the pieces back together. Lying awake at night, my thoughts consisted of you and the love we once had. As darkness shrouds light, your memories haunt me. I see your face, hear your voice and feel your touch but now only in my dreams. As the seasons change so doe's my heart. "I will always love him but i need to move on" i tell myself whenever i start thinking of him. A new scar my heart has but carries it with pride, knowing it was made by giving itself completely to the one it loved. Love can be like a two edged sword but can also heal the wounds it has caused. It is a troublesome thing at times but worth every second you spend in it, love has taught me this time and time again. It is a lesson learned hard but worth the knowing and is priceless when it is all you have to hold on to
