 PG vs PG13Does anyone think that being a PG movie means that they did not make it look real enough? Many movies are made PG13 because of being very real or scary. Maybe they tailored the movie to appeal to young audiences, but in doing so made it less scary/real.

This is the only thing other than the casting of a couple people that has disappointed me. I wanted it to be PG-13 so that it wouldn't just appear as/be "just another kids movie." And I like the reality of "scary" images and actual death parts. Oh well. I would have rather had it PG-13 and it sucks its PG but I'll live with it.

I think they made it PG to expand the target audience, but it may end up biting them in the long run.

A lot of times, the difference between pg and pg-13 is the amount of violence and / or sexual innuendos. We already know from the book there is no cursing, and no sexual content. It also really didn't have that many fight scenes. Overall, in the book we are learning the characters and history. There are battles in the book with graphic detail at times, but overall, not that many. So I can see why it was classified as pg. The rating is not going to be what makes the movie suck or not. It's gunna be how close they stayed to the actual story, which is not looking so good.

WTH! WAT DO YOU MEAN THERE'S NOT THAT MANY FIGHT SCENES! there's a whole war underground with urgals being stabbed and burned with acid! things blowing up and eragon fighting and killing so many things! that movie should hav been pg-13. now im going to have to bring my little sister bcause my dad doesnt think it is bad just bcause its pg and i have to try and convince him that i cant bring her. THAT MAKES ME MAD!
