I think she's dead. Of course to make all you people belive she is alive(some how) i'll say this. She disappered but they never found so technically she's alive. Though i think she is dead but istill would like to know.

If your immortal you can't die no matter what and many dragonriders are already dead so they are not immortal, they just have really long life span.

no immortal means you cant die of old age or anything like that. but you can still die.

It should be same as with elvens in Lord of the rings-you may live forever unless you are killed or you commit a suicide

No, he is immortal(or close to it). What I think you are saying is that he is not invincible, which is true. He could live forever, unless he gets wounded.

besides scarecrow is right cuz to be truely immortal it means that you can't die period. Like if Eragon got stabbed by someone then just laughed in their face cuz he can't die, that's immortality.

what he has right now is just "living indefinitely until someone gets lucky and kills him" type of thing.

and as for angela being eragon's mother, its a neat idea but i don't think that's it. Cuz she said that Selena came in to get her fortune told. Then people could argue that she knew all about her life so she could say all that, but fortunes are about the future. She can't know about her own future, even if she was a witch.

to the immortal thing- eragon is immortal, immortal (at least as it is ALWAYS used in fantasy books) means not able to die of old age (or illness, generally)

brom reached morzan's castle a few hours after selena died
even if he couldn't go to the funeral, he would have demanded to see selena's body

by the way if u read again, he tried to but never did see her body as the healers just said that she was dead and he never got to see her....so he moved back to carvahall to look over eragon secretly....because eragon was the one and only living reminder of their love...

yes, he didn't demand to see the body because he was still trying to stay hidden from the empire....
