Character Personality: Jade is watchful and quiet. He loves to learn, and does so by watching. He is very mysterious and not many know him well. He doesn’t talk much, unless he has something important to say or a question. Even though he's so withdrawn, he's not shy, as many think. Like all elves, he very clever and quick-witted. He loves riddles and puzzles, and is very curious. He is brave and courageous and always looks for challenges. He enjoys overcoming obstacles, but knows better to look for difficulties or make thing harder than they are. For his age, he is very wise, but when he was younger his adventurousness got him in to trouble. Now, he's noble and just. No matter what he thinks, he's always fair. Even when he's dealing with people he hates, he keeps a cool head and gives them a fair hearing. He has an almost endless supply of patience, and it takes a lot to make him loose his temper. He does get mad, but he always keeps himself under control. He believes in equal rights and fairness, which makes him fight the Empire with a passion. He bows to those in authority, but doesn't follow them blindly. People have to earn his respect, and in turn, he earns theirs. He loves his dragon and will do anything to protect her.

Character History: As a child Jade had a pretty normal life. He had a younger sister, who was born when he was 10. His sister never even got her name though. The entire family was away from Ellesmera at the time she was born. They were ambushed by about 40 Urgals, who killed his parents and newborn sister. Half crazy with grief, Jade made it back to Ellesmera, though when he did he was close to death. He was given a small house that he lived in until he hatched his dragon when he was 20 years old. He was trained by the Riders for 30 years, learning all of their secrets. When he turned 50 it was deemed that he had learned all he could under their guidance, and he graduated. By this time he has gotten over his grief, but the horror of seeing his family killed still lingers, and probably always will. The murder of his family made Jade more reserved, more like he is today. He became afraid to get close to anyone, because of the pain when his family was ripped away. Since he graduated he has traveled around, doing what he can to oppress the Empire. He spent some time with the dwarves and humans, interacting with the other races. He battled against the Empire, but nothing big. Small skirmishes, but no big battles. He and his dragon visited the ancient dragon lands. They also explored some of the northern areas of the forest. While he was with the dwarves he traveled through the Beors too. After a while the urge to travel faded, and he returned to Ellesmera. He's been there since, only traveling when needed.

Character's Physical Description: Jade is tall, slim, and limber. He is strong, like all elves, but not all muscle, even though his strength surpasses that of humans. He is very graceful, agile, and fast. His features are proud, with high cheek bones, a straight nose, almond shaped eyes, and a sculpted chin. Overall, he has an angled face. His jet black hair flashes in the light. He has excellent balance and endurance. Jade, like all elves, has fantastic physical abilities.

Dreams for the Future: - For Alagaesia to be free from Galbatorix.

Reason for Dreams: - Galbatorix is the reason his parents are dead, he believes in freedom and that Galbatorix is cruel and evil.

History: Silvermoon was given to the Riders as an egg. The name of the dragon who gave her to them as been lost. Nothing is known about her before her egg reached the elves. She hatched for Jade 40 years ago, and has been with him ever since. She learned the secrets of the dragons and Riders alongside him, then was with him as they traveled and explored. She carried him above the forest and through the mountains, until the urge to travel faded from her too.
Personality: Silvermoon is kind and gentle. When provoked she can be very fierce. She is brave and courageous in battle, and will do anything to protect her Rider. She loves her Rider and has reached an understanding with him, even though they're different. They do have some similarities. Like all dragons she is very wise and intelligent. She is very clever and loves riddles. She is quiet, watchful, and curious like her Rider. She is more laid-back than Jade, but is just as noble and just. She is very patient and, like all dragons, she had amazing magical abilities.
Colour: - Dark sapphire tinged with silver.
Appearance: Silvermoon is a large dragon. She is extremely strong, but is slender and agile. Her teeth, claws, and spines are ivory. Despite her size, she is stealthy and graceful. Her wings are large, flexible, and leathery, unlike her body, which is covered with scales. Her eyes are dark sapphire, with slit-like pupils.
