New Dangers

Gender: Guy Affiliation: Werecats	New Dangers OOC: Open to all, but preferably those with characters with some kind of connection to either water, or ocean, ect. IC: Sera relaxed her muscles and allowed the current to take her where it willed. The blue dragoness had a burning feeling deep within her mind. Things were not as they used to be in and around the islands close to the southern most part of Alagaesia. The currents continued to pull the dragoness between the small islands of Uden and Parlim. The current did not bother the dragoness. It was much like riding the winds, and to top that off, the blue dragoness was more comfortable in the water anyway. A she rode the current, a number of different odors wafted her nostrils. The dragoness snorted sending a cloud of bubbles into the dark waters around her. She continued to peer into the murky waters, but then decieded she might be better off leaving the waters and getting onto land. The dragoness propelled herself higher and higher until the light of the sun was once more visible. When she reached the surface, Sera broke the water with a roar and the sound of her wings flapping in the air. The blue dragoness took to the air and gained the appropriate altitude. Re-meeting time!!! lol IC: Elcyon had flown out a ways from Illium, knowing that the other islands surrounding her home were not explored by her. Uden was the one she decided to visit. She wanted to make note of everything about the surrounding islands and how they differ from each other in many different ways. All El knew was that it was somewhat volcanic. She could sometimes see pillars of smoke come up from the bowels of the earth, as lava glowed at night from the peak. Sometimes, El was thankful that she didn't have to worry about this particular volcano to explode anytime soon, at least to her knowledge. As she descended, El took note of a small blue shape near the shore of the island. From the shape, El figured it had to be dragon. When she landed about twenty feet away, El came to discover that it was a dragoness, one she had met a long time ago. Sera? Is that you? she asked, surprised to see her. Do you remember me? IC: Sera snorted with suprise as a dragoness landed some twenty feet from her. Then, after the dragoness introduced herself, Sera replied, Yes, it is me Ecylon. It has been a long time since last I saw you. said the blue dragoness. She looked at the female and could see that Ecylon had grown much since their last encounter, but at the same time so had Sera. The blue dragoness said, What brings you to the isle of Uden? asked the dragoness as she stared at the ash beneath her feet. IC: For Elcyon it was wonderful to meet an aquaintence she had encountered a while ago. She had felt bad there wasn't a chance to get to know Sera, and she hoped she would get that chance. Sera was very kind last time El met her, and wise. From what El could tell Sera had grown a great deal since last time, perhaps she had seen many things like El had too, in the sense of growing mentally. I was actually heading out away from Illium, my home island, she replied with a toothy grin. I haven't really gotten the chance to explore the other islands surrounding where I lived and so I thought maybe some exploration would do me some good, you know, to get my bearings. What have you been up to lately? IC: Sera looked at Ecylon and said, Things are changing. The oceans are becoming less and less peaceful. Most people do not yet see it, but the deep ocean creatures are moving into more and more shallow waters. It is causing a strain on the food chain. Creatures that occupy the same niche in the ecosystem are now competing for the same food and territory; when under normal circumstances neither of teh two species would ever come into contact. Beasts which even I have never before encountered are hunting in these waters, it is dangerous for even dragons here. If it makes you feel better you could pm me about the powers in the fourth book so I get a little bit of an idea how these powers work. Would that work? IC: Elcyon raised an eyeridge, listening to Sera as she explained the workings of the ocean ecosystem below. She hadn't really given it any thought to pay attention to the ocean, but why whould she? El was a dragon of books, with fire breath and on the occassion shadow breath. Sera was a water dragon, and the ocean was her home. Are you saying that there are beasts rising up from the deepest part that could hunt dragons if we flew above? she questioned, very much curious about what was going on. I know ecosystems are very fragile, I wonder what's causing these creatures to move up closer to shallower water? Any advice? She waited, intent on helping Sera for whatever she needed. IC:Sioc rolled his wings back slightly as he changed from deep-water-air to the dusty-heavy-air of Parlim. It was many years since he had returned to his hatching sight and Sioc was curious to see how the island had changed. As the dusty air got under the cow-hide-saddle that Tuorin used he began to itch Tuorin, wake up Sioc poked at the sleeping elf's mind Tuorin quickly arose from his waking dreams when Sioc had decide to mental prod him What's happened? he inquired Sioc tilted towards the soft-sand-ground. The air is full of this dust, can we camp for now and go to the cave tomorrow? Sioc knew the dust would cause him no problem but it irritated his eyes and there was no need for discomfort on a pleasant trip. Tuorin quickly scoured the ground looking for a suitable came site. Over there, Uden will protect us from the cold Eastern winds and Parlim from the South West As Sioc descended onto the east beach of Parlim Tuorin thought he spotted a gilt in the distance.
