OOC: Ok so since Erais is back, its just going me and her posting in this topic.

IC: Daidrea was climbing on the wall of the palace of the Empire. He was sent on a mission from the Varden to gather any new information on the Empire. He snuck into a window and quietly moved in. He saw guards patrolling backs turned going the other direction. Daidrea quickly moved down hallways and down several floors.
Eventually he found himself in the dungeon. He checked each cell...so far he saw nothing but corpses and skeletons. Me moved to solitary confinement and peered through each heavy metal door. When he came to the last door he saw a living person inside. It was a girl...rather young as well.
Since she was the only one he figured he could get her out. He busted down the door and walked in.

Ooc: I feel absolutely terrible for disappearing all the time, hopefully I can stay with this topic, but I'm confident I will.

Ic: Erais felt pain in her head. She really had no idea where she was, just that she was in pain, and a lot of it. She couldn't remember much, just really fuzzy things. She knew her name, and she knew something was missing in her mind. A large, massive empty space that she knew didn't hold her memory. She groaned as she slumped against the cool stones that covered the ground. It helped to ease the pain as it brought her body temperature down.

Where was she? Why was she here? Who was she? What had she done to deserve this? All of this swam in her head, causing her headache to worsen. She groaned against as she heard footsteps. It sounded painfully loud, but she ignored it as best she could. Erais couldn't even remember the last time she had eaten, or what she had eaten, if she had even eaten. She couldn't remember the feel of water on her throat, nor the sound of a soft breeze.

The ground shuddered as a horribly loud noise blasted her ears. She gasped in pain, curling up into a ball as she gripped her hyper-sensative ears. What was going on? She looked up, her vision was blurred as she looked up at a tall figure. Was this her captor? Was she to die now? "Leave me be," she croaked out, her voice was hoarse from yelling, but she couldn't remember why she had yelled so much. Nothing was clear, just her name. She didn't even know if the two strange silver marks on her right hand were caused by her captor or by something else. Could it be connected to the empty crevice in her mind?

Erais shrunk back from him, despite the gentleness to his touched. She whimpered, pulling further from him. She shook her head as much as she could without worsening her headache. "Alone," she moaned, closing her eyes to his face as she felt something stir in her. She ignored it and it was easily lost and forgotten. "Don't, hurt," was all she could manage as it hurt to breathe. She cracked an eye open, looking at him. She didn't want to be here, but she couldn't remember anything else. If this was life...if this was it, then she'd rather be dead.

Erais felt herself lift her head as she looked up into his face. He seemed startled, but also worn by years of harsh living. She couldn't help but detect a sort of kindness in his eyes, behind everything else, almost buried. "If you have any sort of kindness, please, just kill me. I'd rather be dead then living in this hell." She said before pressing her face against the ground again, unable to support it with the little strength she had.

Erais looked at him, frightened as he spoke. If not death, then what? She stared at him, but even as she did, her eyelids slowly began to close as her mind drifted off into sleep. She did not know anything after that, she didn't even acknowledge the movement as her mind was happy to rest fully, instead of the half sleep she had been having for the longest time. Her mind was at ease as Daidrea took her far from her prison.

It was a while, a rather long while, before Erais began to stir. She hadn't been properly warm in years, and the secure feeling of the blanket around her, accompanied by the warmth helped to bring her in a calm state of mind as her eyes slowly flitted open. Instantly she was transfixed by the fire, the quiet glow of the embers as the smoke rose high above her head. Like little flashes of lightening memories associated with the fire flooded back. Instantly she felt at peace as a small smile of relief came to her face.

After a while she realized she wasn't alone, and couldn't be alone. She slowly sat up, but finding she couldn't on her own, let herself lie back down on the ground and let her eyes search for a face. She found it, at first she was frightened, but slowly felt secure again. "Thank you," was all she said, and even then it was spoken very quietly as her glassy orbs watched him.

Erais watched him, feeling a bit uncomfortable as he moved about. She didn't feel in fear for herself, but she felt uneasy, like she was missing something. The emotion in his eye was really starting to bug her as she couldn't place it. She was grateful for the water, once again memories flooding back. One stood out, it was a baby dragon, from a long time ago, pushing her into water with some other companion. She looked at the man's face, it wasn't him. Suddenly it made sense, the missing space in her mind, the marks on her hand, she remembered it, or at least some of it.

She kept quiet as the food was laid in front of her. At first she was unsure, she really couldn't even remember what food should be, but she trusted this fellow enough by what he had already done to slowly eat some of the food. It was hard, and even though it was soaking up some energy, it was replacing more then it took. It finished it soon enough, surprised that it had filled her. Erais knew she couldn't sit up, but she did know she could speak better.

"Where is my dragon?" she asked innocently. She didn't know it's name, nor did she know why it was not here, but she did know it was her's, and her's alone. If this dragon was so grand, and left such an empty space in her mind, how far away was it. It, couldn't be dead, could it? She felt her whole body shake at the thought. She didn't exactly remember why, but she kenw that if the dragon was dead, that was a bad thing. Erais felt herself curling up, shutting out the world. Surely the emptiness would be bigger and much worse if the dragon was dead! It had to come back! All the emotions linked with it, despite having no name, it was all back and she felt herself falling into despair at not being able to feel him anywhere!

Erais barely noticed the comfort she was receiving as she was trying to keep herself calm. She took deep breaths, even though they hurt incredibly as she listened to what he said. Yes, that was it, she simply couldn't remember, that was all. The dragon would come back for her now that she was out of that place, he wouldn't ever leave her alone for long unless she asked for it...

Erais felt tingles all over her body at the thought. Had she banished him for some stupid reason? Had she been so selfish as to not allow anything to remain? She sighed in frustration, she wanted to know, she needed to know, but she couldn't remember! Finally she gave up, for the moment. She felt horrible, terrible, guilty even. She looked up to the man, realizing that he looked much different from a human, and perhaps, wasn't even a man. She pondered that a moment, but shook her head. "Who am I?" she was curious.

Erais watched him he looked as though he were beating himself up over something. She would've complained or at least demanded to know who she was and why her dragon was completely missing from her mind, but for the first time in such a very long time, she was warm and felt a peace. She could feel the tiredness bearing down on her eyes her eye lids grew heavy. "I want answers in the morning," she spoke quietly, her eyes finally shutting as she gave into the sleep that was overcoming her.

The night went on much smoother then ones before. She hadn't slept this good, and this dreamless in years. Normally she would've been tortured in her dreams with horrible nightmares, but she was left alone as her mind wandered about. Slowly she was regaining more of her memory, but most of it was just bits and pieces, and mostly she could not remember the important things.

Daidrea did not sleep that night. He wasnt sure how he would handle the situation with Erais' memories. The thing that bothered him the most however is that Arden was missing.
He was sitting on a tree stump as he watched the sun rise. What should I do?


OCC: Ugh the one time I have writers block.

Erais slowly began to wake up. Her head throbbed dully as the pain had faded. She looked around as the sun was shining through the breaks in the trees. She was successful as she sat up, rubbing her eyes gently. She looked around, curious as to where she was. It took her a few minutes to remember what had happened the night before. For a moment panic seized her, but it disappeared as she saw her rescuer sitting on a tree stump a little ways away.

"Good morning," she offered, hoping that if she was nice to him, he'd tell her what she wanted to know.

Erais watched her rescuer curiously. She knew what the end of his sentence was, even though he broke it off. She felt his body hit hers, sliding across the hard ground. She groaned as the headache flared up, having hit the ground rather hard. Remember you? Who are you? she thought in her mind as she looked at him. He did not seem familiar, not at all. She looked about, dazed. A voice came to her awareness, it was rather bone chilling.

"What, am I not supposed to be alive?" she asked, the sound of metal hurting her ears as she was having a bit of a hard time keeping up with what was happening. "What's going on, why are you fighting? Just stop, it hurts!" she finally shouted as she curled into a tighter fetal position.

Erais peeked at them slightly, but mostly kept her head covered until the sound had died down and it was obvious that the foe was gone. She felt her body pulled from the ground as easy as holding a feather. Normally she knew she'd thrash, fight back, get away, but she felt comfortable, and safe. The sudden fear washed away as he rocked her for a moment.

Erais was quiet and kept her mind closed as he healed her wounds. She instantly felt better and smiled at him, a real and genuine smile. "Thank you," she said as he left her for a brief moment. She watched him leave before he came back. She had been shocked that he would've done that for her, but was surprised. "So you are sasying I smell?" she asked in a slightly agitated voice. She shook her head, laughing slightly, and quietly. She waited a few minutes to make sure he was far enough away before she got into the heated water.

The bath was the best thing she could've ever thought of. She was in there much longer then needed, but finally she got out, she stared at her cloths for a moment, but instantly remembered a simple spell. She didn't know what she was doing, or why she did it, but her cloths were clean and she merely felt hungry after doing it. She quickly dressed, feeling refreshed and much better then she had a day ago. She wondered where her rescuer was, and looked around for him, unsure of where he was. She still had no idea of his name, so she couldn't really call out.

Erais felt relief to see that he hadn't abadoned her, but now as she looked at him she couldn't see herself ever thinking that. She walked over to him, glad to hear he was willing to answer her questions. "I feel much better, it has felt like an eternity since I last felt this good. Thank you so much, you are treating me with a decency that I thought didn't exist." She said earnestly before she walked and sat by him. She still felt a bit sore, but she felt well.

"Who am I?" she began. "How do you know me? Why do I feel so-" she wasn't sure how to explain it, finally she shook her head. "What do you know about my dragon?" she finished.

Erais watched him, and nodded, but it didn't make sense. At first she was surprised as the memories and thoughts poured into her mind. She wanted to shut them out by instinct, but kept her mind open and soon she could feel the emotions behind it all. It was difficult to understand, especially the parts with them being together. In her mind she was having a hard time getting it, but the thought of having two dragons. That made sense, but still.

It felt like forever until the stream of memories disappeared. She stumbled back from him. "Wow, that, uh," she paused. She wasn't sure how to finish. "I don't, I just don't know what to say. It's in my head, but it's not mine, I don't remember it quite yet." She looked at him apologetically. The empty space in her head grew, and the pain was with it, but she couldn't get rid of it.

Daidrea sighed in disappointment. "Well...perhaps we will just have to wait. For now you have a new beginning. This time I hope that you will live better this time."
Daidrea stood up and smiled slightly, "If you wanted to know, my name is Daidrea."
OOC: Short.

Erais nodded, she did feel bad. "I'm sorry," she began. She felt slightly awkward, but smiled. "Nice to meet you Daidrea...how do you suppose we should go about finding Arden?" she asked him, curiously. She wanted her dragon back, it hurt not knowing, or remembering where he was, or if he was even still alive.

Erais nodded her head agreeing. She felt nervous as she looked around, slightly unnerved. "I think it would be best if we started now, my mind feels like it'll crack if I don't fill that empty space." She said feeling worried as she looked at him with a panicked look. "But I think I need a change of clothes," she said looking down at her ragged apparel.

Erais thought about it for a moment. She took the fresher clothes and moved to a more concealed place to change. She straightened her outfit and made sure it fit without being overly baggy. She left her tattered clothes since she didn't need them. She felt much better, and refreshed. She walked over to Daidrea, still feeling terrible for not fully remembering him. "So should we go? I hope you are right, because this is eating at me, it's so bothersome." She frowned.

Erais followed after Daidrea. She was a little worn down, and her body was still struggling to recover emotionally, not physically since Daidrea already healed up the skin wounds. It was on a deeper level that had her struggling. However she didn't care, she was just happy to be free and alive.

Soon they were approaching a town, Erais wasn't worried about anything, so she complied. "Yes, and right now I could use a rest," she said, really starting to feel the strain on her broken body as they moved towards it. "Perhaps we could pick up some sort of information, on anything." She suggested.

Walking around the town was more nerve racking then Erais had originally thought. There were soldiers patrolling the streets, which made her more nervous and anxious. She was glad when Daidrea suggested going to an inn for the rest of the night. "Yes, that is probably best." She said as they moved the the inn. He was able to get the last room that they had. Walking in she saw that there was only one bed. She didn't want him to be uncomfortable through the night, but he seemed to be fine with leaning against the wall.

Erais sighed before she climbed into the bed. It felt good to be in a bed after years of just stone. Instantly she felt warmth from the blankets and her eyes began to close as her whole body slowed down. "Good night," she mumbled before she was completely swept away by sleep.

Erais slept peacefully, and was so happy to be in a proper bed that even if she did dream, she hardly remembered it at all. A few memories floated through her mind, but none of them really stuck. She knew that there were some pressing matters at hand, that she should at least feel worried, but she couldn't bring herself to.

Arden soared above the clouds. He had felt it, despite the long distance he had felt it. Erais was free, or at least physically. He let his mind search, knowing she would be asleep. Hopefully his hunch was right and Daidrea had been the one to get her out, if so, then it would make things much easier. Soon enough he felt Daidrea's mind and rumbled with relief. He touched down a few miles away, to make sure nothing would happen nor draw too much attention to himself.

Daidrea, I can only be here for a short while. Before Erais was captured she banished me from her mind so she couldn't give up the information. Despite that I was able to know somewhat of what was going on. They cast a spell, or more of a curse, that the moment she came in contact with me, our minds would break down and she'd die. I would've rescued her sooner, but I had to stay away for her well being. I could feel her mind decay and memories disappear as they tortured her endlessly. Since I was banished they couldn't sense me, but I drove passed the pain to know what was going on. The moment she feels me consciously, both of our lives are over...for now let her go on with hope that I am merely just far away. I am heading to the elves, and the queen to seek help. Don't do anything stupid, this magic surpasses even you. He explained quickly, he knew Erais could feel him and was already starting to wake up. Don't do anything stupid or I'll have your head! The wrong countercurse will kill her. He growled, digging his claws into the ground before leaping into the air and rushing away.

It took Erais little time to wake up. After having so many years of seperation with Arden, the moment she felt him she began to stir, but as she woke up, the feeling vanished. She sat up, dazed and curious as to what was going on. So didn't so much as remember Arden as he was now, but more of his baby months. She knew he was out there, and the feeling she had had confirmed it even though she thought it was a mere dream, but it helped bring more memories back of Arden's adolescence.

Erais looked around and spotted Daidrea almost instantly. She smiled without really thinking about it, but wanted to know where the feeling had come from. "Did anything bizarre happen last night?" she asked him, trying not to sound to eager.

Erais smiled, but she knew he was only telling half the truth. She just smiled, if it was important, he would tell her. At least she was sure he would, but she tried not to think too hard about it. She moved from the bed and stretched. The strange feeling still puzzled her. "So where are we going to go? We should probably start right now." She said pulling on her boots, winding the straps up before tying them. She was hestitant, but kept a smile on.

It sounded like a solid plan, and for Erais, she didn't detect any sort of lie within his words. She trusted him fully, she didn't know why, the memories he shared could've been total lies to deceive her, but she doubted that. He would've had to have no heart to be able to do that, but it was obvious he did have a heart. She smiled, and nodded her head. "I slept well, thank you, for everything. I may not have my memories fully, but you have done everything else." She was puzzled by the feelings that shot through her as he put his hands on her shoulders. Even though she didn't remember him, apparently her body did, and it was obvious his touch was a huge comfort for her.

Erais was distracted for a moment, trying to figure out what in the world was going on with her. She smiled, slightly nervous, but didn't say anything. She wasn't nervous because he had put his hands on her shoulders, but because it didn't bother her at all. "Yes, let us get ready." She said.

It really didn't take too long, it wasn't as though she had anything other then the clothes she wore. She pushed her thoughts from her mind for now, she think about them later when they would have rest. She wanted to know why she felt so for him, not his memories, but her own. She wanted to remember them so she wouldn't be confused.

Erais was slightly bugged by Daidrea staring at her, but she didn't really mind so much. They were soon on their way. It was a quiet journey, not what she expected, but she wasn't sure what she could've expected. The sun wasn't too hot, so she was grateful. She let her mind wander, let herself think, she had so much to think about that she hardly noticed the group of men up ahead. It wasn't until they were within feet when one spoke that she looked at them surprised.

Erais listened before she felt fear flood her body. She instantly took a step back, appalled but frightened. What was more frightening was Daidrea's response. The men were out soon enough, but the sudden movement and the outcome scared her. She turned away, shaking slightly as her mind wandered. Erais glanced at Daidrea, not even daring to look in the direction of the men, she followed him passed the men, her breathing shallow and short.

Erais looked at him, a side ways glance. She finally shook her head. "No, I'm not afraid of you, at least, just I need to think." She was glad they would stop for now. She didn't sit, she stood, trying to remember, trying to make sense of what was going on in her head. She could feel pain starting to come on, but she kept pushing herself. Finally she felt like bursting as her anger boiled. She turned to Daidrea, feeling horrible, and trying to remember. She walked over to him, her eyes burning. "Why can't I remember?" she pleaded.

Erais felt hurt, and betrayed. The bitter tears formed in her eyes, but she willed them to not fall, not in front of him. She didn't remember him, but she knew she could trust him. He had kept this from her, he knew what was going on, but he said nothing to her. She had gotten the feeling that he cared very deeply for her, perhaps loved her, even though it felt odd. If he did love her, why was he lying to her! She felt like screaming.

Instead of getting angry, or at least showing her anger, she grew silent, her emotions boiling within her body. Even now she felt agitated because it felt impossible to fill the void in her mind. She felt herself huff before she turned away from him. "Go away," she murmured quietly, deadly even. She didn't wait for his reply and began walking. How could he do this to her? She didn't care for her safety, she was living through the worst torture, and all he could say was he was sorry? Well too bad, if she could ban her dragon away, surely she could ban this fool!

Erais whipped around, ready to smack him or something, but she was stunned as he poured memory after memory. She could not believe what she was seeing and feeling. Everything clicked into place, but not her memories, they still seemed void and elusive. She felt like she was going to crumble under his touch as he continued to let everything flow into her mind, he held nothing back.

It took her a few moments to recover until she finally frowned. If she had her memories she might not have been stubborn or prideful, but she was. "Well perhaps I don't value my life," she glowered before wheeling around and storming away from him. Right now she just wanted to be alone, away from everyone, and yet a small part of her was screaming for Daidrea to come back, to not let him go...again! She walked, pulling herself away from him. She couldn't remember how to fight, or where she was, but she did not want to be around Daidrea. He thought he knew everything, but he didn't!

Erais felt something touch her mind, but it shied away at the last second. She sighed as she continued walking. Why was she being so stubborn? Daidrea had basically saved her life...again. He kept coming after her even though she didn't ask for it, and now she was telling him to leave her alone? She frowned, before giving up. Finally she turned around, she hated doing this, but she couldn't just leave him.

It took her longer then she thought to find him, but finally she did. She glanced at the broken tree, startled he had that much strength, she walked soundlessly over to him. "I'm sorry," she attempted in a small voice, not looking him in the eye.

Erais once again felt anger burst in her at Daidrea's cold words. Even though it wasn't much of an excuse, she couldn't remember him! Despite her pride, she wanted to fix things. She felt herself glaring at him as he seemed rather stubborn on doing nothing. She walked up to him, looking into his yellowy eyes, her mood dark. "Then just take this stupid curse off, I'm sure you can do it. Can't you?" she said bitterly. "I came to apologize, for all I know, you could be lying to me, I DON'T remember you!" she spoke rather loudly.

"I'm not being selfish, I lived through hell and lost my memories in the process. Now you are saying I'm being selfish! Well if you are telling the truth, then I'm not being selfish when I banned my dragon in the first place! It seems like I'm the only one here not being selfish. If your memories are doing the events justice, then of course you have the ability to cure me, or whatever! Maybe you just want me to be ignorant, maybe this is some sick joke to you!" she couldn't stop herself as she had reached boiling point.

"Then why are you acting this way towards me?" she demanded. Surely if he loved her, as everything indicated, he would at least be more patient. Erais was frustrated, she had few memories, most were scattered. The only memories she had of her dragon were as late as his adolescence years, and those were long gone. She stared at Daidrea, her brow furrowed as she struggled to remember him, anything, just a spark would satisfy her. She stared at him, struggling.

After a few moments she walked up to him, staring up into his eyes. "Daidrea I really want to remember you, I do, so I can make sense of what is going on. I don't know how to remember you, I don't know if I'll ever remember you, please, help me," she pleaded quietly.

Erais watched him, feeling concerned but finding she agreed. Anger was a bad friend, it was only in for the glory, not caring exactly how you got your revenge. Erais sighed as she watched him, she moved in closer, looking at him earnestly as she felt like a little child compared to him. "I don't know what I want, just help me remember? If you know me so well, then you'll know what to do. I have feelings for you I don't understand, I forgot why I have them, but I still have them. So please, help me remember why I love you?" she was hesitant, and embarrassed to be admitting this, but she didn't doubt her instincts.

Erais watched him carefully as he pressed his head against her forehead for a moment before he connected his lips to hers. It came suddenly, little bursts, words, pictures, it wasn't what she had expected, but it was enough. She felt herself smile as she looked at him. It felt like slow motion as she wrapped her arms around his neck and rested her head against his shoulder. "Thank you so much Daidrea, I feel like I don't deserve you," she spoke softly.

Erais gripped him, she had a feeling she'd never have her complete memories back, but she remembered Daidrea and was so happy to see him again. They stood there for a while, not moving, just enjoying the quiet moment they had with each other. She felt her mind begin to wander finally and could feel a moment of fear coming on. "Daidrea, you have no idea what they do, if you hadn't have come then I would be dead by now." She said feeling safe in his arms.

"Thank you so much."

Erais knew he would keep her safe, she settled in next to him as they sat down against the tree. She felt comfortable. She looked up at Daidrea and nodded. "Yes, and I'm so sorry about earlier, I was just so confused," she apologized again, hoping everything was good. "You shouldn't have to apologize for what you did, I'm sorry I made you feel that way." She felt embarrassed as she looked away from his face.

Erais nodded her head, already her mind was ready for sleep. She curled in closer to him as she finally let her mind drift off. "Thank you Daidrea," she mumbled, her eyes half open. "I love you," it was hardly intelligable, but she was already asleep by the time the last word was out of her mouth. She was glad to be back with him, glad to know that he still loved her despite the years of seperation.

Erais was exhausted, not just from travelling the day before, but still trying to recover from her emotional stress. She didn't stir, nor felt herself being shifted to his back as he took off. The wind was pleasant and in fact furthered her into sleep. She smiled slightly as her dreams were, for once, happy.

Finally when they were coming to the side of the forest where Daidrea's hut was, she began to wake up. She looked around, dazed, but smiled sleepily at Daidrea. "Good morning," she yawned.

Erais knew Daidrea was right. She thought about her options. Even now she could feel part of the void starting to feel as she felt close to Arden. It was horrible though, it felt as though she was forever thirsty, and water was only inches from her grasp, but she was chained down and couldn't get a hold on it. She frowned for a moment as her thoughts wandered.

Finally she came back. "We can stay here for a little while, for now," she murmured quietly. She was so tempted to just run to Arden, it was almost overpowering.

Erais was patient as they walked through the forest. She could feel the pull on Arden grow more and more as she wanted to just turn around and run towards him. She had to keep her thoughts in check though, if Daidrea sensed that, then she knew she'd be stripped from this place and once again the void would be completely empty.

After a while walking through the trees was getting rather difficult, but they managed until they came to the clearing where Daidrea's hut was. She smiled as a few memories came to mind. She felt pleased to know that by just being here she remembered some things. Perhaps that was it, all she had to do was go somewhere or do something and she'd remember.

Erais was looking at the detail among the trees and the forest floor as Daidrea disappeared into his home. She kept her mind blocked mostly from him as she thought. She was unsure about what to do, she felt like she had an obligation to leave Daidrea and search on her own. She also had this horrible urge to go to Arden. Yet still she felt compelled to stay with Daidrea because she loved him.

Erais looked up, slightly caught off guard by Daidrea but nodded her head. She did need to relearn how to defend herself. Daidrea wouldn't always be with her, so she needed to have him teach her, but for some reason she felt stubborn about it all. She took the sword, shaking the feelings off. "Alright, let's go," she nodded her head signalling she was ready, or thought she was ready.

Daidrea showed her the basic stances and forms. Then some of the starter attacks, also blocks. She seemed to have a little trouble remembering so he did them with her a couple of times.
He then did slow motion attacks while she did the blocks. In turn he then had her do the attacks.

Now he taught her basic combat spells. He had her use them on objects this time. He didnt want to be a target for magic.


OOC: Sorry I took so long to post. Getting distracted by the TV lol.

Erais was struggling, she had hoped her fighting abilities would come back as she redid the motions, she hoped it would just come back to her as quickly as the memories of Daidrea had when they kissed. She frowned in frustration as he continued to show her blocks and strikes before they moved onto basic magic. She felt anger boil in her.

She tried concentrating on the tree in front of her that was her current target practice. At the moment the spell wasn't working right and her temper was getting out of control. She finally yelled in frustration and sheer moodiness before she chucked the sword at the tree and began to walk away, steaming mad at her inability. "I can't do this!" she proclaimed over her shoulder.

Erais didn't turn around as Daidrea wrapped his arms around her. She was so frustrated, she couldn't feel anything, grasping the flow of magic within her was a struggle enough without having to concentrate on trying to use a spell. She listened to Daidrea and was hesitant. She knew they had a very deep connection between each other and she knew she trusted him just about as much as she did her dragon, but that didn't mean she wouldn't feel odd pulling her shirt up.

Finally after debating over it for a brief moment, she complied. She felt him touch her back in certain areas before he preformed a silent spell. She pulled her shirt back down before turning around to look at him, skeptically. "No, just frustrated and angry," she said in a rather foul mood. She did try, she really did, but she couldn't grasp the flow of magic even still. "I think that I should just hide in some hole until this is over, I've been through to much, after a while I won't be able to keep coming back." She argued for the sake of arguing.

Erais smiled softly despite a dark thought in her mind. Right now she wouldn't worry about it as he spoke sweet words that made her want to just never leave his side. She felt a spark of happiness in her as he finished it with a kiss. "I'd like that, a lot," she paused as she felt silly as she began to doubt. "But what if, what if there is no counterspell. Daidrea, I can't live my life this way, it's worse then if Arden were dead." Her brow was furrowed in frustration with herself as she leaned into Daidrea, seeking comfort.

Erais felt better, but still it didn't fill up the hole. "I know Daidrea, I know," she said quietly, closing her eyes as she tried to push the doubt and despair out of her mind.


Arden was having his own struggle, but he didn't have anyone to help comfort him. The elves had been almost happy to start finding a counterspell for the curse. He knew they were working hard, but they weren't getting anywhere. It was very frustrating for him. He could sense Erais in the forest, but it was dim. He wished Daidrea hadn't brought her here, it was making it difficult.

He had decided to go hunting, he was low on energy and really needed to eat. He had already caught several deer as he came upon a buck. He caught it easily and began to feast on its body. Normally he was picky about what parts he ate because some didn't taste very good, but he was too famished to care. He was in the middle of it when he sensed it. Arden had been distracted up until now, but now that the presence was very close he looked up. He growled the moment he saw who it was. What are you doing here? he asked in a threatening tone as he took a defensive stance. Once again he yerned to have Erais, but he knew Daidrea could take care of her.

Arden growled deeply. She banned me from her mind, for good reason. The moment we fully connect, we are both dead. I have kept away from her for years, now that she is safe, I want to go back. You have no idea how hard this is! he roared in agony. I can sense her, she's so close, but I can't allow myself to collapse. I won't be selfish and cause her death. She's with Daidrea right now, and even though she isn't fully in her right mind yet, he'll keep her safe. He could feel the angst sink into his bones as he laid flat on the ground in despair.

Arden snapped his powerful jaw at Kuja. Don't laugh, living like this has been worse then anything I could ever imagine. You wouldn't survive in the same position. Erais is getting antsy, she's going to try and come after me, but I can't allow that. He said looking a bit passed Kuja. His eyes glanced to Kuja for a moment. Do you know how to remove it? he asked a bit desperately.

Erais watched Daidrea move away before she went back to practicing. Even though the seal was off, she was still struggling. She could also feel a slight confliction in her mind, and she knew it wasn't hers. The more she focused, the more she yearned to go after Arden. She could feel herself getting jittery, but she tried to resist. It had been a while as she finally stopped and let the weak flow of magic break off.

Erais looked around, Daidrea was still away from her, probably meditating. She walked around the hut and sat down, trying to clear her head. She couldn't go after Arden, yet she was using all her strength to not get up and walk away. Daidrea was distracted, he wouldn't know she was gone... No! She needed to stay away!

Arden looked at Kuja skeptically, he felt a growl building in his massive chest as he stalked forward. He bent his neck down so he was eye to eye with Kuja. I'll make every waking moment a nightmare if you don't help us. Erais is reaching the end of her rope, and so am I, do not test my temper. He threatened as the heat began to build in his belly. He felt like tearing many of these trees out, but the elves wouldn't be happy with him if he did.


Erais closed her eyes for a brief moment, pushing the yearning feelings from her mind before she approached Daidrea. She looked at him, feeling helpless. "I think we should leave, the further away from him I am, the less tempted I'll be. Even now my mind is screaming at me to run," she said staring at Daidrea. "I want to be here, but I fear it is too close, at any time I am sure my mind will buckle and force me to him." She pleaded, staring into his eyes.

Arden watched Kuja, slightly startled as he suddenly disappeared. For a brief moment he thought that the elf had simply run from him so he wouldn't have to do anything, and that angered him, but he was surprised to see Kuja come back saying it was done. Now Arden was weary, he could already feel his mind filling up with Erais' thoughts, but was it too much of a price to pay? Perhaps Erais should've known before he allowed her to fall into Kuja's debt. Either way, he left the dead carcass of the animal and began to pound through the forest, trying to find a clear spot.

Erais stood there shocked. Kuja was not who she had expected to see. She was stunned into silence as he stood before her, grasping something from her mind before he disappeared without a single word, except that she was now fully in his debt. She stood there, speechless for a short while after Kuja had left. Finally she turned to Daidrea, thoroughly confused. "What in the world just happened?" she asked him bewhildered, hoping he knew. Kuja wasn't exactly the kind that skipped around taking peoples burdens away. It wasn't long until Erais felt the large gap in her mind instantly fill with a booming voice that nearly caused her to stumble. "Arden" she spoke joyously out loud and in her mind as she felt his large mass coming closer, her whole body began to itch as no pain was accompanied with Arden connecting their minds again.
