Bertran and Ash landed in the familiar valley that they had been to thousands of times.It was a very secluded valley deep in the Beor Mountains.It had a river that ran through it and a cottage that sat beside the river in the center of the valley.Bertran and Ash landed around fifty yards from the cabin and looked at it.They walked up to it and knocked on the door.

"Who is it?What do you want?"Came the cranky voice from inside.

"Haha!Don't you know how to welcome a friend old man?!"Laughed Bertran.

"Bertran?"

"No it's the king!Yes it's me!"

"Come in!Come in!"

Bertran walked in to see his mentor and friend sitting by a table filled with books and scrolls.

"How are you Ebirk?"

"Ahh don't worry about me.Did you bring me what I asked you to?"

"Sure did."

Bertran handed his mentor a few packs of the finest meat.

"That's a good lad.How is your dragon?"

"Come see for yourself."

They walked outside to Ash swallowing a deer.

"A fine dragon."

Hello Ash how are you?

I am good Ebirk good to see you again.

"Well Ebirk it seems to be getting late.We should sleep and talk in the morning."

"Aye you're right I didn't notice how dark it was getting.C'mon your room is ready."

They walked back into the cabin and they split ways into their separate rooms.Bertran walked into his room and opened the window so Ash could stick his head in.The window was made extra big for that very reason.

Good night Ash.

Bertran lay there glad to be back home with his friend.

Natsu sat at a table, reading a book about magic. He and Erza had gotten back recently from the nearest library, which was many leagues away. They never returned the books they checked out, however, always taking on a different appearance upon entering, and returning to his normal appearance when he left.

He shut the book, done with reading for the day, and stretched his arms and legs. Feel like flying today Erza?

Aye. I need to stretch my wings, she replied.

Natsu wordlessly ran outside and hopped onto Erza, and she hunched her hind legs down and pushed off, taking flight. She sped up by the second, until she was accelerating at full speed. Natsu closed his eyes as the powerful wind burned his eyes. She then slowed down slightly and corkscrewed, pulling off some of the most complicated tricks she knew. When Natsu felt himself falling off he yelled mentally, Slow down!

Oh please, you're no where near falling off. Do you think I would allow you to fall off? Erza asked, amused.

Whatever, just be careful, Natsu warned. Erza mentally smirked and continued flying, the two of them enjoying their time together.

IC:Bertran awoke the next day early in the morning.

"I wonder if Ebirk is up."

Bertran walked to his friends room and saw he was still asleep.

"Lazy old man.Haha."

Bertran walked outside and saw Ash flying towards the cabin.Ash always went flying in the mornings.Ash landed beside him.

Just to fly around.

They took off and darted into the air high over the mountains until there was no air to breath.

Ash I can't breath!Take us down a bit.

Sorry Bertran.Haha forgot.

Ash folded his wings and they fell towards the ground.

"Ahhhhh!Hahahaha!"Bertran laughed.

Ash opened his wings right before they hit the ground and landed.When they landed Ebirk was waiting for them.

"Morning Ebirk."

"Good morning Bertran and Ash."

They sat there and watched the sunrise.

Johdzsia flew along the Beor mountains. Alone. It was a rare thing that she went out alone. Her Rider usually came with her. Now at elven months old, their bond was as strong as ever, if not stronger due to events that had befallen them. She shuddered away from the thought and pushed the memories to the back of her mind. She looked around, curious, when she heard the beat of dragon wings. She caught sight of a Dragon and its Rider, but decided to leave them alone for the time being. They looked to be enjoying themselves. She smiled as she watched them, a pang of longing striking at her heart. She missed Ka. She sighed and gazed around again, suddenly noticing another shape hurtling out of trees and into the sky, falling back a few moments later. She tilted her head, intrigued. That move was dangerous, even for well trained Dragons. She angled her wings, letting her body slowly ease its way down. She landed softly, barely stirring the grass with her wings. She padded forward silently, following her nose to a small hut. Her gold-amethyst scales tingled; the dragon was male. She blinked her teal-aquamarine eyes curiously, then cautiously stepped out into view. The rising sun hit her scales, setting the gold to glittering, while the small amethyst veins in between each scale gleamed softly. Um...hello. I'm Jia...Would you mind if I joined you? she asked uncomfortably, switching her gaze from the dark black dragon to the two twolegs.

Bertran,Ash,and Ebirk sat and watched the sunrise until a voice echoed inside there heads.

Bertran it is a female dragon.Ash said.
