from looking at the trailers, this is what i think

it's going to be a good movie but:

1. arya doesn't have black hair OR pointed ears

2. saphira only has a very, very, slight tint of blue when she's supposed to have a lot

3. she's not supposed to breath fire until the very end

4. her flame is supposed to be blueish

yeah thats why i have my doubts about it being good. but you never know.

also eragons sword is blue in this picture my brothers got
with a blue hilt instead of red

also in the preview i saw it had Galby in it
he's not "seen" in the book

he is talked of by Brom and Murtagh, so they are going to show instead of have them tell it dry.

but is Saphira's flame suppoed to be blueish??? where does it say that in the book? i didn't imagine it like that, but that's just me.

ya i mean why the heck would they make his sword BLUE!!!!!! ITS SO STUPID and the RUBY! is blue which makes it a saphirra which is stupid.. an ya saphira is like killing people w/ fire an the only one who she breaths fire on ( well not on him) but around him is duraz and arya is riding her.. so it kinda made me mad.. and also it shows brom using zar roc which also makes me mad even tho brom is the BEST!

We cant expect them to make the movie exactly like the book. The movie will best be viewed with the book as a backdrop for it. As for the blue flame...if you look at a hot fire it will tend to burn blue in its most intense areas while the outward flames are orange in appearance. So I to would not have minded if Saphiras flame would have been blue.

I will watch the movie, but I have no doubt that it will not be like the book... and I don't think anybody should go to ANY movie based upon a book and expect it to follow the book... there are too many liberties taken by movie production companies. The only exceptions I can think of are OLD movies like Dr Zhivago, The Lord of the Rings Trilogy, and The Lion The Witch and The Wardrobe.
So my advice, judge the movie on it's own merits ( like you had never read the book).

YEAH! And in the trailer she is walking around in some forest! She never walks in the book sept in Farthern Dur!!

maybe they do eragon, then the movie slightly goes into eldest.

We should be thankful we're getting a movie. LOTR was good, yet there were differences between book and film. This is where we start going into sub sections

The most messed up thing about this entire movie is the characters. Here's my look at the characters, from a list on the movies official site.

Eragon- He's apparently an 18 year old blonde now. Reminds me of Zac from Saved By The Bell.

Brom- Actually looks good. A little young, but still good.

Arya- Red hair and lack of pointy ears. Nuff’ said.

Durza- Looks like Michael Jackson with red hair.

Galbatorix- I shouldn't be able to comment him, but he does look pretty good. He doesn't have a main villain feel though.

Ajihad- Looks like the blind dude from Becker.

Murtagh- Looks like Jacky from Roseanne.

Hrothgar- Looks like one of those rock stars who dress like women.

Roran- A blonde version of the Ron from the HP movies. Nuff' said.

Katrina- Actually an amazing rendition. Though I never really paid attention to Katrina's character so this could be dead wrong.

Angela- Looks like she's in her twenties.

Twins- Passable.

Nasuada- I'm mad that she's at the bottom of the list. I'm furious that she looks older than Ajihad.

And I'm a little worried about what characters aren’t on the list. Mainly, WHERE THE CRAP IS SAPHIRA!!! First they screw her character up and now she's not as important a character as the twins? And where's Orik? Did they cut him out or something? Also, where's Solembum?

I am disappointed far more than I expected to be.

It has been a while since I read the book, but I don't recall that Eragon's looks were every fully talked about.

Am I wrong? I know how I pictured him, but don't think it was anything more than the mental image I based off the character.

just saw a preview for the4 movie and saw mutipal dragons so i am hoping that it is jsut a flashback to the fall otherwise i am going to be ercked!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Galby is there just to to boss durza around. ALSO when in the movie arya is going make the egg disapear she is laughing and smiling! I thought that it was kinda wierd.

What in life is wrong with the people wrighting the script!!!
I just saw some first look thing on FOX and it showed part of the battle and Saphira was breathing fire the whole battle!!!!!!!!!! also Durza was flying on some idiodic smokey dragon like thing and they were battling!! some things they cut out of/screwed up in the movie that i noticed have

1. The Raa'zac arn't supposed to die

2. Angela was in Terim not Daret

3. No solumbum

4. Orik is gone

5. Roran went to work in the mills not join the army

6. Eragon had to train to use magic in the book

7. the urgals were supposed to be like orcs not barbarians

8. Eragon used magic in Yazuac against 2 urgals not like 10 in Daret (why is Daret a boat town?)

9. Eragon and Broms journey to Terim and Dras-Leona were cut out

10. Murtagh was supposed to not want to go to the varden not show eragon the way

11. Brom didnt just come right out and tell eragon he was in the varden

12. The Isidar Mithrim was cut out

13. Durza was riding some weird black creature during the last battle

14. (just a thought) wasn't Sloan supposed to be skinny

overall the movie was prety good but i just didnt expect them to change it that much

the razac got killed, and at the end of eldest eragon and roran said they were going to go kill them! how's that going to happen if they're dead already?!?!?!?[color=red][/color]

I havent seen the movie but i know alot about it from reading here and people say that the parts they got right were very good, is that true?
