Post Temias
At last, the young Tribe member I introduced so long ago is a full-fledged character. Also, he is one of an increasingly small number of almost normal dragons (power-wise). Heheh. Yay! (Oh and obviously I Accept this myself).

Name: Temias (Tem-my-yiss)

Age: 4

Gender: male

Skills: Stealth: Temias was always well-known among the Tribe dragons as the most proficient at stealth. He can slink into any sheltered area and disappear within seconds, blending with the shadows and almost melting into the background. He can sneak up on an enemy or prey until he is less than ten feet behind them. His flight is absolutely silent, like an owl’s, and he can fly closer to anyone than they would like. He is best at his hiding in dark or cluttered places. He can blend in to almost any crowd (of dragons) and can go about his business completely unnoticed. If he doesn’t want to be seen, he won’t be.
Combat: Temias, being raised to the Tribe, is a skilled and practiced fighter. He has often had to come up against enemies in defense of his home, and he gained skills in fighting magical enemies recently. He is skilled in tactics, and has practiced specific fighting forms. His fighting style is graceful and swift, like the shadows. He is not a crude tooth-and-claw fighter like most dragons. He can beat most unpracticed dragons in a fight, despite being younger and smaller than them.
Magic Dye-Marks: Like most Tribe dragons, Temias possesses a few markings made of magical dye on his body. The markings are called Kallek Marks, and have been a strong tradition in his Tribe for generations. Dragons who perform great deeds or services to the Tribe, or who are very proficient at a certain skill, get special markings painted on them. The markings are made with magical paint infused with a special type of crystal that can retain energy in a large reserve for emergencies. They also enhance the natural abilities of the wearer. Temias’ Kallek Mark for Stealth helps him to absorb any sound he makes when he wants to sneak, and his other Marks (for deeds done) release their energy only in emergencies.

Race: Dragon

Hair: none

Eyes: bright silver

Home Village: originally a cliff side in the thick jungles of a distant eastern mountain range, but then an actual city within the jungle (called Kletowa)

Parents: Riccoro (father) and Apara (mother, sister of Chief Kasiya)

Siblings: none

Character Personality: Temias is one of the dragons who can lay claim to a powerful inner strength. He is very reserved, and often keeps his words to himself and carefully thinks them over before speaking them. It is not unsurprising for him to go through most of a celebration or festival without saying any more than necessary. His silence gives him amazing stealth abilities, but it also means he is little noticed in a crowd. That can be good or bad. His quietness has been mistaken for shyness, a trait that makes some of the other, more cruel dragons of the Tribe make fun of him. Because he is little noticed in his business, they think that he is useless or incompetent, and aren’t afraid to make fun of him for it. He is angered by such insults, but knows that silence can be the wisest choice against someone several times as powerful as you. Besides, if he was seen doing his job, he would be doing a very poor job indeed. Despite his quiet nature, Temias is a very friendly dragon, and not at all shy. He enjoys talking with and learning from other dragons. His eagerness to learn more and use the knowledge to help his friends and later his entire species are both a strength and a weakness, as his curiosity can get him into deep trouble. Luckily, Temias is quite clever, and is able to think his way out of most potential fights. Because of his friendliness and because he is not very outgoing, he is very diplomatic, and often sees himself as a mediator between disputes rather than on one side or the other. Because he has grown up around other dragons, he is a little distrustful of hominids, but this will be cured with time. Temias is very calm and collected within turmoil. He holds an innate inner strength, a strength that allows him to endure much longer than most other creatures. He can hold fast to things and his willpower and determination are remarkable. He is a very brave dragon, and will go into any fight if it is of worthy cause. He especially will go into a fight to help his loved ones, and is not afraid to risk his life. He has been trained to risk his life all the time for what he believes in, and for what he loves.

Character History: The Tribe was one of the last remaining groups of dragons, and was the longest-lasting of all dragon communities. It began over 100,000 years ago, after the joining of the dragon races (colors). The first great city built by dragonkind was named after the new joining; it was called Unity. Unity lasted for tens of thousands of years, but it could not last forever. An evil sorcerer dragon named Kumaraq attacked the city with his minions and killed most of the residents. All those he killed, and some besides, were turned into fearful wraith creatures, doomed to guard the city forever. Kumaraq was eventually cast into imprisonment by the blind dragon Zephorion, the Namer, who was the first dragon born of a pure blue dragon and pure red. A few dragons escaped Unity and formed the Tribe, and promptly chose Zephorion to lead them. For thousands of years, the Tribe existed in the jungles of an eastern mountain range, and even built a new city; Kletowa. Zephorion led them well and eventually left, and new Chiefs and Elders were chosen throughout the years. One day, about a hundred years ago, the Tribe’s new city was taken as well, by a fearful demon from the Shadow Realm. Since then, the Tribe lived near a huge cliff side in the jungles.

Temias was born near the cliffs, and grew up hearing stories of Kletowa, and of battles fought against numerous enemies. The Tribe had lived peacefully with other dragons and riders that had once passed through the area, but for a hundred years, the dragons stopped visiting. Only one dragon later visited them, and helped them in a few fights. This dragon was Solarae. Temias never met her in person, but he heard of her feats in aide of the Tribe.

He grew up learning the ways of the Tribe dragons, and from an early age was more clever and more stealthy than many of the rest. He trained in skillful stealth fighting, and trained himself for completely silent flight. His training progressed to a level where at less than a year he was already the most stealthy in the Tribe, and could move amongst the others in the jungle without their knowledge. His childhood was brief, but mostly happy, and he preoccupied himself learning all he could about dragons, the land, and developing his skills. There was one blight in his life, however. His quiet nature led to teasing by some of the other young dragons, most notably Relinox and Arkior, who picked on him as much as they could, calling him by the nickname “Temy”. Temias grudgingly ignored them, for he hoped they would grow out of it, and turned to his work for the Tribe. He eventually began carrying out duties for the Tribe, which mainly encompassed scouting missions and sentry duty.

Temias’ peace was shattered the day he met a silver dragoness by the name of Phalynx. He escorted the odd dragon into his Tribe, where she proceeded to single-handedly defeat the shadow realm beast and recapture the Tribe’s city. The Tribe, including Temias, celebrated her victory and thanked her by helping her on her quest. The blue-black dragon, however, was intrigued by the newcomer, and followed her for a short way to ask about the outside world. He began to harbor hopes in his mind of one day traveling to the rest of Alagaesia in order to help other dragons and fight evil.

Unfortunately, his hope would be cut dramatically short. Upon returning, Temias discovered that his family was being attacked and killed by the Wraith Maker‘s servants, and captured. Temias fought valiantly along with his friends and family, but in the end all the dragons who hadn’t been killed were captured. The dragons were taken to Kumaraq’s lair in the Scorched Lands, which lay to the south across the Burning Sun Sea and was within a giant extinct volcano. They were there for a few days, dragons being taken to be turned into horrible wraiths, when Phalynx arrived, escorted by the wraith of Kasiya herself. Temias and the other dragons in his cell were shocked, both by the fact that Kasiya had been transformed, and by the presence of the silver. The other dragons in Temias’s cell were taken one-by-one, and all began to lose hope, though Phalynx did manage to encourage Temias and give him renewed heart and courage with her words. This was a brief moment, though, for the blue was soon taken himself.

Temias was brought before Kumaraq, and like the other Tribe dragons, attempted to fight his way free. However, he was no match for the enormous and powerful sorcerer-dragon, and was quickly overpowered (though he did manage to leave a nasty wound across Kumaraq’s face). Temias, like the other dragons, was subjected to horrifying torture: the forceful pull into his Eldunari, the shattering of that Eldunari, and the removal of his soul to be used as a weapon by the Wraith-Maker. Temias remained a wraith slave of the sorcerer-dragon for a few days (though it was impossible to measure passage of time in Kumaraq’s lair). Eventually, it seemed as if all the Tribe dragons had been converted, and at last Phalynx was brought forward to face Kumaraq. Temias was unable to do anything as Kumaraq attacked her and finally overpowered her, beginning the Eldunari destruction process. However, for some reason, the process did not work on Phalynx, and she was able to strike out at him during the process and escape. Before Kumaraq could have his wraiths attack her, she destroyed the crystal around his neck, which had been controlling the wraiths. With no more control over them, the wraiths, mostly Tribe dragons, struck at Kumaraq. They were easily able to kill him. Also, they found that they could replace their disembodied souls back into their physical bodies. Unfortunately, the wraiths that had been in that condition for too long no longer had viable bodies to return to, and were stuck in their current condition.

Temias and the other Tribe dragons were unspeakably grateful for what Phalynx had done, and the young blue returned with his family, and the Tribe’s new friend, to their homeland. His life was fairly peaceful for a while, until another dragon from the west appeared: Zeke. The amethyst dragon managed to best Relinox in a brief fight, and swiftly became Temias’s friend. Before he left, he even gifted the young dragon with his Heart of Hearts, which Temias kept safely with him at all times. Zeke returned not long later and helped the Tribe with another magical problem, the kidnapping of Tribe members by an evil man named Leurgan, and became an even greater friend to Temias.

The young dragon saw his friends from the outer world a few other times. Phalynx and Zeke returned, with a younger dragoness named Luna, and helped Temias once more, saving his life from the evil Leurgan. However, it was on their most recent “visit” that Temias finally decided he had to start seeing the outside world.

It was a peaceful time for the Tribe, but without warning they were attacked by dark creatures, and driven back to their old cliffside home. Temias and one of his friends decided to try and get help, for they knew that Phalynx had the ability to fight creatures of darkness effectively. The blue-black got out of their caves, but was met with a terrifying fight. His friend was killed in battle, and Temias received horrible wounds along his whole body. He managed to escape and fly south, hoping to find help. Luckily, he found Phalynx right away. She and other friends of hers were on the southern shore of the Burning Sun Sea. She managed to heal Temias’s wounds (both physical, and those made by the shadow magic within his mind), and he told her what had happened. He led the group of himself, Phalynx, Phal’s mate Aeraldi, her friend Elcyon, and Elcyon’s mate Equinox back to the Tribe. Phal found a back way out of their caves, and the Tribe spent that night in the valley to the north of the mountain bearing their cliffs, planning their attack. During the night, Zeke joined them.

With his best friends from Alagaesia, his new friends, and his Tribe, Temias fought the evil shadow creatures, eventually eradicating them from the cliff valley. They then attacked the creatures dwelling in their city, and drove them out from there as well. The shadow creatures were eliminated in the end, and all celebrated their victory.

Temias lived for several more months with his Tribe, but grew more and more restless. He longed to explore the outside world, especially to the west, and longed to help the rest of the dragons there. He wanted to visit the places and meet the dragons that Phalynx, Zeke, and their friends had spoken of. He wanted to experience it for himself. He wandered further and further outside the Tribe’s mountains, until finally, he made up his mind to leave. Temias returned briefly to his Tribe, said a farewell to his friends and family, and departed.

Weapons: Temias’s natural weapons are his most powerful. He is swift and stealthy, and very skilled in using his entire body as a weapon. His teeth, claws, tail, and wings are especially useful. His flame is fairly powerful, about average for a dragon, though he is skilled in using it in battle, as all the Tribe dragons are. His mind is also a useful weapon, for Temias is used to staying out of direct situations, and rather analyzing them from the outside before getting involved. However, this isn’t always the case, especially where his family and friends are concerned.

Likes: quiet places, dark places, the forest, the sky, learning, friends, the night

Dislikes: the open, cowardice, anyone against dragonkind, being exposed, bullies

Weakness / Fear: Temias will do anything to keep his friends and family safe, and doesn’t hesitate to take on any enemy, even impossible ones, if he thinks it will help the Tribe or his friends. Also, as a result of Kumaraq’s devastating Eldunari-spell, Temias no longer possesses his Heart of Hearts; it was destroyed in the removal process.
Temias is afraid of being too exposed, and also of not being able to do anything to protect his loved ones.

Animal Companions: none

Character's Physical Description: Temias’ scales are an extremely deep and warm blue, almost black. The color is soothing to look at, and by moving fast Temias can startle onlookers. His spines, claws, horns, and spikes are all deepest black, like the space between the stars at night. The dark colors make it excessively easy for him to hide in the shadows. His eyes are bright silver, in stark contrast with his mostly dark coloration, and stand out on his face like glowing orbs at night, creating a very eerie effect. Temias possesses a pair of perfectly symmetrical “Kallek Marks” running down his face and then along both sides of the back of his neck down to his upper back. The marks on his face are long and look like war paint, designed to make his eyes and jaws stand out. Along his back, the shapes and forms are more elegant and swirling. All of the dye marks are bright silver, the same as his eyes. The one on his back is for Stealth, and the others are for his bravery and impressive deeds.

Dreams for the Future: Temias wishes to explore the outside world, but even more, he wants to help dragonkind.

Reason for Dreams: He has lived a relatively sheltered (though still dangerous) life in the jungle, but all that changed when Phalynx, Zeke, their friends, the evil wraith-making sorcerer dragon, and the Shadow Realm appeared in his life (some multiple times). He now wishes to help the other dragons of the world, finally aware of their plight.

Alignment/side: Temias is aligned with any dragons (except evil ones), but is suspicious of other races to some extent.

Thanks, dark. lol I've already gotten a chance to get to know him as a character and even develop him a little (with help from DS4 lol). So rping with him should be very smooth. I just have to start looking for good rps to join, first. 8)

Well thanks to you too. Heh yeah I'm excited to rp with him finally as more than an NPC. Gotta think of a good way to introduce him to the world, first off. :)
