Another Texas person!! WOOTS!!! I can't wait until the movie comes out, from what I've seen, they pretty much stuck to the book. I heard a rumor that the game is only coming out for the Wii and X-box 360. I hope that's not true because I like to get all the games, movies, and above all, the books.

There's really nothing different minus the books are better. But you wont miss anything. The Harry Potter series is one of the few books that have been made into a movie that has stuck to the plotline and had really good directors who followed the book and consulted the script with J.K. Rowling.

Well thats okay. I strongly recommend reading the 5th and 6th book the books are just plain great. And it will give you a better idea of Voldemorts feelings and past.

thats true guardiane (sorry if i spelt your name wrong. im not a great speller) the books do stay close to the movies. or i should say the movies stay close to the books. i was disappointed though with the interpertation of the world quidditch cup. i had it pictured so differently than what they did.
for the one who asked about missing the first four : (sorry i dont remember your name. my memory is all that great either.) if you havent seen the first four movies you may have a few questions. but your friend should be able to answer them.

Now I don't know about the thestrals, because your not supposed to see them unless you've seen someone die. We might get glimpses of them when Harry's alone, but I don't think so around other people, well, maybe Luna...

Well Thestrals are comparatively calm compared to what he normally has. They just like raw meat and you can't see them unless you've seen someone die. (slight drawback in seeing them, right?)

GuardianAngel ~ what is the MoM that you keep talking about?? i dont remember reading anything about that in the book. does anyone know how long the movie is? i thought someone said it was an hour and twenty minutes long. if i remember right book 5 was pretty thick. surely they wouldnt have been able to tell everything in that short of time. as long as we get to see the twins pull the stunts on umbridge then it will be ok.

From the previews I've seen, we will get to see Fred and George's fireworks. As for the hour and twenty minute movie, I believe that someone meant that was how long Eragon was. You might be able to find out how long it is if you Google it or something...
