How to Train your Dragon
I just watched this and I really loved it xD It was so good! Awesome movie, I give it a 9/10. Great graphics, graphic movement, the story was plain but I still got right into it.
I loved it so much =D anyone else seen it?
Oh, I forgot to add. I'm finally actually proud of being basically only of English and Viking descent (of course there's the other random specks of european). So yeah, too Viking for you << viking gangsta
spoiler when he figures out he has one leg at the end, I was like serious "D8"

I was too but I really liked this as well. I thought the dragons were so cute. Especially the black one. He was adorable!
I've wanted to see this ever since the April Fool's joke on here xD The commercial was also funny, where the guy was like, "There go my undies" or something, lol.

the voices were good, too. Gerard Butler being the big viking and Jay Baruchel the skinny little one. The nightfury was the best character of the movie. can't wait for the sequel.

I saw How to Train your dragon in mid may and it was awesome though the end was kinda sad. It is almost symbolic at the end because they are the same.
Oh my gosh, at first I wanted to see it but was like "I suppose it's okay if I don't even though I'd love to" but THEN, THEN I find out, MY GUY, David Tennant is in that film! EEEEEP! I don't care that he's only a minor player, I will now be moving the sky and da' oyt to see that film! EEP! David Tennant is so cool! I mean, his voice, HOW GOOD IS HIS VOICE?! Plus the Nightfury is just adorable...I want one...XP ^;^ So like I've got the film on my computer right now and I'm about to go watch it in a tick, I'll come back in a few ^;^ *Is excited* DAAAAAAAVIIIIIID!!! I just wish that they would have been making movies like this when I was a kid . For most of us we really don't have a big age difference, but if you are a couple of years younger then me I can tell you that you have been getting quite a few more good quality family movies.

lol I just love dragons, and I like it even more when my parents watch it too. they don't understand the concept of "Dragonology" the study of dragons... they think I belong in a mental institution... anyway, Hiccup is kinda cute...

I'm still fawning over Tennant, even if he DID only have two lines (THEY WERE ARGUABLY EPIC LINES! lol) that movie was soooo good, and I don't usually REALLY like animated stuff, it was FANTASTIC! I want to get the DVD...or just live on TV blinkx and watch it too many times XP

lol that was soooo cute!! and when he learns to fly him, that's also teh best part, actually, I think the only worst part was when his father tried to disown him adn trapped toothless. I almost cried then, and when Hiccup lost his leg...

Re: How to Train your Dragon
Well it might have been interesting if DreamWork animation had produced Eragon, but this is off topic so I will not go in this topic.
A sequel would definitely be fun and since there are sequels to the book we could expect to see one.

Re: How to Train your Dragon
The storyline in the books is a bit more childish, and Toothless is not a Night Fury. Night Furies don't even exist in the books, so that makes the movies totally different in that respect.
I cannot wait for the sequel either. And I really bonded to the movie. Toothless is awesome (As my avi can tell) and I bear a striking resemblance to Hiccup in appearance, voice, and even mannerisms. (Making it even worse when my family teased me about a girl [whose mother's name was ironically Astrid] which I liked at one point. I got flak for weeks after we watched the movie)

great. Now I don't want to read it because toothless in the movie was awesomeness. WHo doesn't like Night furies anyway? I think that they are the coolest looking dragons in the movie. The others looked like they came out of nowhere.

*Squee* Totally can't wait!!!!! My only main prollum with the film though is the ending *Will give no spoilers because that's evil* seriously, there's NO way he'd just be able to walk all fine and stuff after that. Not that it really matters, but he would have had weeks and months of getting used to it before he'd be able to go out of the house, much less ride a bleedin' dragon lol ^;^
But YAY! Sequel! Sooo pleased about that, and a series too! Can't wait! ^;^

It was an epic movie! Although yeah, the end was bad. They didn't have to do that much....but the sequel's bound to be good, or they wouldn't have announced it.
Hey, who is the book by? I need to check it out at my library if they have it...
I actually got a copy of the film so, needless to say, I'm watching on rapid fire XD Caught so many things I never noticed the first time around...ah it's such a good movie. Almost as good as Tangled. I thought it would be lame when I saw the commercial, but it's just so fantastic!

Re: How to Train your Dragon
There are two new developments on How to Train Your Dragon being made right now.
The first is a short Christmas Special, and a dvd which talks about all the dragons, which is kind of to be expected from Dreamworks.
But the other thing that they're doing is far more interesting, and far more amazing. Just check this out:
A live show with state-of-the-art animatronic dragons. . . I don't know about you, but I'm going as soon as it hits somewhere nearby. This looks beyond amazing.

From the video you posted it sure looks interesting.

Re: How to Train your Dragon
Hmm, I just got some other news. Even though I didn't expect much from the two specials they were coming out with, The Dragon Book and The Gift of the Night Fury, I hear that a lot of fans say that they're more like the first movie in terms of story and animation. Especially Gift of the Night Fury.
I hear that out of all things, character relationships and character development is emphasized the most, which really gets us in depth with who the characters are.
I especially like this quote that Hiccup made in the Dragon Book special: "Toothless didn't just become my friend. He became the friend who gave me my purpose."
I'm actually rather liking the way that Dreamworks is handling HTTYD. I thought that they'd screw it up like they have with their previous productions, but I think they've figured it out. They've also done Kung Fu Panda right as well.
