Post Re: RPGC- From within the belly of a beast
Solarae was still fighting for control, and a part of her hoped the rock would strike her dead. Sera stopped it, though, and the orange dragoness began trembling all over as the presence fought back. It was weakening, but it might still get a brief period of complete control back and hurt someone else. NO! Sera, let him kill me! What if it takes over again?! she cried, shaking her head and fighting the presence. She couldn't let it hurt anyone else. The red lines webbed over her scales felt like they were pulsing with fire as the entity fought her, but Solarae could not afford to let it gain purchase again.

When she regained more control, enough so that she thought she was safe, she looked over at where Paconio was lying, and she felt her eyes tearing up. Blood was pooling around him, and Solarae knew that he was close to death. Help him! Call the elves, do something! she screamed, tears now welling from her eyes. This was her fault. She couldn't let him die, not like this. Solarae knew how she could combat the evil presence: she would deprive it of energy. She growled and sent as much of her energy as she possibly could into Paconio without killing herself. She needed to make sure he would be okay. Then she could deal with the consequences of what she had done. Solarae staggered and nearly fell over in exhaustion as the energy fled her body, but managed to stay on her feet. Bring him to the elves, she gasped, trying hard not to faint. She thought her plan had worked in one way, though; the evil presence had not fought her since.

Post Re: RPGC- From within the belly of a beast
Gus was not upset when Sera stopped him. Actually, somewhere deep down, he felt relieved. If he killed her he wouldn't be able to live with it. He was surprised with Solarae's new tactic of depriving the elves of energy. A large sum of energy like that could heal Paconio, but how could he heal himself if he's unconscious? He would surely bleed out before they reached the elves, and there were no healing powers between the dragons to speak of.

Then, an idea popped into his head. Sera, He said with an involuntary leader-like-tone, Can you collect some water from our surroundings, and keep it pressed against Paconio's wound, so he can't bleed anymore? He turned to his parents. Mom, Dad, enter Solarae's mind. Keep her safe from those elves. He looked at Solarae, I'm merging minds with Paconio, and I'll try to use his knowledge to heal him to the best of my abilities. I need you to keep an eye on our surroundings. You never know when someone's going to strike.

Sera growled and instantly the water in many of the nearby trees was forcefully extracted from them. She pressed the water against the wound powerfully and held it there. She then asked, What now? I have the wound compressed with the water, where do we go, which way is Ellesmera? Or Cithri, or what? And what will we do about Solarae, I can't carry her and focus on holding that warer the way it is.

Solarae nodded distantly to Gus, opening up her senses to their surroundings. Nothing was nearby. She was feeling more and more tired by the second, and she began to wonder if she had given too much energy away. It didn't matter. She would do anything to save Paconio; he was her best friend. Maybe not anymore though. She glanced at Sera when the blue dragoness completed her task and asked about how to get to the elves. Gus knows the way to Ellesmera, so do I. I'm sure his parents do to. Just leave me here if you have to. Get Paconio to the elves, she stated, her voice weak with exhaustion.

Gus sighed. His body is full of energy, He said, But even all of it is going to only heal about half of this wound, with the organ, bone and other tissue repair. There was a small silence, and blue sparks leaked out over any open area on Paconio's body, such as eyes, ears, and mouth. They all surged toward the wound, plunging through the water, deep inside the wound, and steam coming out, adding to the water compressed onto the wound by Sera. There was a strange stretching noise as some ribs reconnected. About half of the wound healed, as Gus predicted.

As he then reviewed what the others had said, he replied, Sera, just keep the water like that, and stay next to the rest of us. Solarae, if we have to we'll carry you. I don't care, nobody is getting left behind, and I guarantee you nobody's going to die. He felt extreme doubt in the pit of his gut, but he dared not vocalize it..

Sera nodded her head and ontinued to focus on holding the water on Paconio's wounds. This was tough, but she had to do it to keep her elf friend alive. She had never felt so needed before. She continued to push the water down on Paconio's wounds and walked with them toward the closest elf city.

OOC: Woefully short I am sorry...

OOC: Yay first rp post in a long time. :D

IC: Solarae held back, hesitant when Gus spoke. She had caused this. She was the reason her friend was laying on the ground, a gaping wound across his chest now only half-healed. She didn't think she deserved to ever be around him again. However, she decided that there was no use in arguing; she was far too weak. And she needed to use whatever energy she had left to help Paconio, regardless of the cost to herself. We've got to hurry, then, she said softly, but urgently, I'll keep up fine; just go! She raced after the others, expending more energy as she ran by sending substantial amounts to the injured elf. She would never be able to live with herself if Paconio didn't survive.

Gus ran at lead position, using Paconio's memories to guide them to a nearby elven city. As it turned out, Ellesmera was the closest city. He felt a terrible coldness spread from Paconio's mind, contaminating the green dragon's as well. It was terrible, it was sickening, and it felt like nothing. This can't be happening, He thought. My Rider cannot die now! He's is one of the few people I can call a friend. He's been here for me all of my life, since I was a little hatchling. He poured more energy into Paconio's body, tapping into his jeweled head-band. Even the power in them was slowly dwindling. If they didn't move fast enough, Paconio would die, and by the looks of it he would take a large chunk of Gus's psyche with him.
