Well the elves just HAPPEN to have two swords, when Eragon is in need of a sword and Arya will need a rider's sword.

Sorry, but Lord Infamous is right on this one. Just because we are told "in between the lines", he has not categorically said she will be the one. That she will be is an assumption by us, the reader. Smart that CP kid isn't he?

Vanir helped with providing a big in between the lines view of things. A human rider is too weak. So that narrows the field down to elves.

Yes, the point in Vanir's being in the storyline was
1. To allow the reader to view the fact that not all elves were happy the new Rider was a human.
BUT ALSO
2. To allow the reader to compare the before and after the changing by the dragons.

By the end of Eldest, Eragon was not full human or full elf, certainly a big improvement though! The fact that Saphira had been presented to many elven candidates proves she did not find ONE elf worthy of her.

Yeah, but it all fits in. Two riders blades were saved from the Wyrdfell. One is for Eragon, the other for Arya. I bet also that Eragon's is Brom's. It would be funny because it would be Eragon's "inheritence".

But this IS what's under the Menoa tree!!!

But it all fits together!!!! The roots of the Menoa tree are Linnea's family, which has at least one of the two rider's swords!!!

It says that two riders' swords were saved from the Wyrdfell by elven families. One of these families is most likely Linnea's. Roots meaning family origin. So Eragon is going to get his sword from that family. I'm guessing that the sword will be Brom's, which Brom lost.

That Brom lost his sword, nahh, I don't think it would be under the roots of the Menoa triee; why would he have gone to Rhunõn and demand her to make him a new sword if his was "under the Menoa tree"?

Under the ROOTS of the Menoa Tree!!! It was maybe recovered later from the Wyrdfell. Of couce this is just a theory. Until the book comes out, all of this is theory. The family being Linnea's is just like a missing puzzle piece. You have to guess what is there to make the rest of the puzzle.

2 riders' swords were recovered by the elves. OK!!!! At least 1 of those swords is probably in the hands of the family which Linnea belonged to.

Solembum made a prophecy and like all prophecies, these are opened for more than one interpretation; yours being that the swords of the Wyrdfell are under the roots of the Menoa tree, one for Eragon, (I believe you previously posted this was the one that belonged to Brom and was "lost" and the second one would be for Ayra.)

NO!!!! AAAAAAAAAAAAH!!!! Brom's sword was lost to the Wyrdfell, then was taken by the elves (this i'm not sure about). And they are not under the Menoa tree, they are with the elf family that Linnea belonged to.

Hmm...this makes some sense after all. Three different swords: Red, Green, Blue. dragons: Red, green, Blue. dragon riders: Eragon, Murtagh, Possibly Arya or Roran. This would also make sense too since Murtagh took back his Inheritance(zar'roc) since his dragon is red and whatnot. Hmm..i like this...

Have to agree with you here. It makes perfect sense especially with all that has happened thus far.

When the time comes and you need a weapon, look under the roots of the Menoa tree.

the term ROOTS has two definitions (i took the time to look them up):
ROOTS: the part of the plant usually underground.....
ROOTS: something that is an origin or source


CP wants us to think that there is a weapon under the tree, while he actually means that the weapon is in Linnea's family.

I like the use of color. It's very affective.

So all in all Solembum didn't really prophesize anything. He was more giving him advice or something close to it. Oooohhh and yes the definitions does make sense and I think CP may mean more of the origina and source...might make more sense.

Makes a lot more sense than it ever did. I swear there is more to that cat than we know of. Giving clues and advice like that is going to lead up to something important in Empire...I know it.

Oh and I hope it's ok if I say empire for book 3. I am starting to really think that will be the title.

It is, I'm pretty sure CP has clarified that for us. And I agree on how the swords are being held by the families. Blue for Eragon, Red for Murtagh, and Green for ?????

Both swords may be with Linnea's family. We don't know THAT for sure.

It could have been one family which has recovered them from the Wyrdfell. We don't know which family they are with until the third book comes out.

yeah but if they are with family's I would think that they would be with two different ones...but I don't know you are probably right that they may be with her family. Hard to tell really.

well they are both not with the same familys cuz it says "His sword, Oromis's, and two others guarded by FAMILIES who managed to rescue them from the Wyrdfell" pg 302 eldest

Yeah, i didn't look in the book. So Brom lost his sword to the Wyrdfell, he went to Rhunon-Elda, then his sword was rescued from the Wyrdfell.

We have to keep in mind that Eragon's gift in the Blood-Oath celebration came from the tatoo on the elves (the two guardians) not from the tree
