Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion
Has anyone ever played it?
What do you think? What are some of your accomplishments?
So far i've put about 20 hours into it, i'm the Arena Grand Chamption, the Listner of the Dark Brotherhood (which is awsome consdering I have an assasin body guard)
I am level 20, a dark elf, battle mage.

Re: Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion
I did play that for some time... Then I found it was faar too long for my tastes and started cheating my stats. It helped me get through all the side quests and the main one in a day or two. But thats not to say I didn't like the story or the game. I found it brilliant. Just takes too long in my opinion.

Re: Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion
I like the longevity of the game, i'm 20 hours into the game and barely even started the main quest. It's a good feeling knowing there is soooo much to do.
I like it.

I've always wanted that game, but I don't have a 360 and my PC would die if I even tried to run it I've only ever played it round friend's houses ages ago, but it's a good game.

Re: Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion
Sweet man...how in the heck did you do all of that. It must have taken forever, I thought for sure you'd be higher than 20's after all of that...lol. I too have shivering Isles and Knights of Nine. I havn't touched it yet though, I have so much going on in the original game.
A kajhit though, that's a good choice. I have a Kajhit bodyguard, I think if I were to restart I would be an Orc, they are pretty sweet with Blunt skills.

Re: Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion
ha! the shivering Isles are awesome! SPOILER! (yeah just one)(by the end you become a "daedric god of madness" very fitting for me )I've conquered everything and still have to max out my blunt skill, to me if your not going to blast them off the face of the earth with the biggest fire ball you can make then kill 'em quick and clean with a blade! (that is the way of the rushing assassin)
it's kinda funny when you blast a black bear off the edge of the mt. and goes so far out that you'll never see him hit the ground

Re: Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion
it took me like 73 hours the reason why my level isnt so high is because i dont focus on levelling im a master of sneaking and i got 120 percent chameleon about half way through but i didnt use it much because its "g.o d mode" and im pretty much the best glitcher ever :p i know all the glitches in this game.

Re: Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion
glitching pretty much ruins the game though. I prefer to play the way things were meant to be played. That's why I havn't downloaded any mods or anything like that.

Re: Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion
Really? inventory: home chest next to door:
Black Soul Gems: 7k
why copy? when you can pickpocket? necromancers HATE me so much
the amazing thing was I was a master of sneak, me: always sneaking. I was also always in heavy armor (they don't get along very well) and the only time I was ever caught sneaking was a thieves guild mission: taxes (or something to that extent...)

Re: Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion
I restarted, I got sick of being a Vampire and I was too lazy to do the 'cure vampirism' quest.
I am a Kajhit now, i'm mainly focussing on the thieves guild right now. I loved the Tax Quest, I made sure to steal a whole bunch of imperial armor when doing it.
I get caught quite a bit though, I make sure to save before pickpocketing someone.

Re: Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion
In thieves guild quests you aren't allowed to kill people.
My last character was a big destruction magic user, but I really havn't trained it up that much on this character. He's more of a rogue-assasin kind of guy (turn invisible, go into sneak mode, charge strike them 6x damage) that's how I kill. Hence my custom class (silent killer)

Re: Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion
I wear my shrouded Dark Brotherhood armor for thieving.
it has it's own shoes.
I just found some really big glitch. In the Talos plaza district of Imperial City if you go to Dorians house and break in. If you can pickpocket him he never runs out of money.
I don't know if this is published but I found it out all on my own.

Re: Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion
yeah it is and I think it only happens on the PC (so I have the PS3 and a bounty so huge it's unbelievable but ya know what? I'm the gray fox and could care less )

Re: Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion
I see...lol
I'm the gray fox as well now. I love the Cowl, the life detect is so amazing. Not to mention the +feather REALLY helps.
When they try arressting me it's funny, all I do is resist arrest, then use my invisibility spell to run off into the wilderness. It's not a very fun existence, but it gets me out of jail time and bounty paying.
I rarely go up past $1020 though, and I just have Armone Christophe pay it off for me at half the price.
I just started over, and i'm already the Gray Fox, Silencer of the Dark Brotherhood, and Arena Grand Champion, i'm halfway done with the Fighteres Guild quests too.
Dang, I should slow down. lol

Re: Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion
I just started the main quest...dang. On my old character I did the first part right away. I only had stunted scamps to go against.
Now I have Dremoras and Spider Daedroth and all those other hard creatures to kill.
the loot is a lot better though. Almost everything is enchanted.

Re: Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion
i just finished the Knights of Nine quests.... wow. I just started Shivering Aisles and those are cool too.
It's so cool to be the Divine Crusader though. People now call me "Sir Knight" I enjoyed being evil and all...but being good is cool too.
The Knights of Nine Armor levels up with you and eventually becomes stronger than Glass Armor. It's enchanted (ever single piece has an enchantment and a spell) and when you finish the main quest you get another body guard. w00t.
If you sin you can't wear the armor though. That's why I take the armor off and put on the grey cowl if I want to murder or steal. Two personalities, NICE.
I reccommend Knights of Nine though if you don't have it.

Re: Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion
Knights of the Nine came free with the PS3 version and I have so many weps/armor/mis. in one chest that it takes my PS3 00h:01m:16s to load (weps alone take about 45 secs to open after I moved them to there own chest) I have a wide selection of things to choose from and so many ways to kill (ok so most of them are my wep of choice: claymores with magic abilitys or madness short swords, but they get the job done so well...)

Re: Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion
I luv this game!!!! I'm not very good at it tho. I'm arena hero, dark brotherhood scilencer, and I can't remember the rest. I'm only on level 8, and I've got pretty much nowhere in the main quest. I've got the book as well, (kind of cheating i guess).
