Eragon probably willnot die, as for Angela, remember she appears very young because she sometimes eats herbs. She could have herbs that prolong life.

Possibly die trying to steal them. But remember, Angela said that Eragon would leave Alageasia forever. So he probably won't die.

What I meant ruben-elda was that those who attempt the stealing of the Eldunari will more than likely die. And if Eragon trys it he will more than likely getkilled or leave severely injured.

I thin kthat depends on how much damage he thinks Eragon & Saphira can do, if theyt are no great threat then fine he will keep them alive, if too much trouble he will kill to save himself, if it comes down to Galby/Shurikan vs Eragon/Saphira and Eragn & Saphira but up a tough fight Galby will try to kill.

I dunno, that seems unlikely, and he only stumbled across the first one. He wasn't looking for it, so he might not know where exactly to look for one now. I also think that galby would have spent the last 20yrs meticulously searching out hidden entrances and putting spells on them to alert him if someone came through one of them. And they can't use the one the hired thief used before, Galbatorix knows about it already.

But he MIGHT find one and if he does, Eragon will succeed in stealin Eldunaris.

Whoah!!! I just had a flash of intuition!! (Unless someone has said it before.) What if the big battle between Eragon and Galbatorix happens when Galby catches Eragon trying to rescue the Eldunari? If their fight takes place in the room where they're at, imagine how much stronger Eragon will become! The dragons inside those HoH's will want him to win, so instead of giving they're strength to Galbatorix, they'll give it to Eragon! (Unless Galby knows their tn's, in which case he'll force them to give him strength.)

I like that theory. It seems possible, but then again Balbatorix probably DOES know their Tn's. So Eragon would be at the disadvantage unless he mysteriosly guesses their Tn's B4 Galby can take control of them.

Yeah, unless there are more dragons than galby knows tn's. Then Eragon could use the majority (the one's galby doesn't know) to help him and Saphira win the fight.

But first he has to guess them.

Yeah obviously the VoS is where tons if not thousands of old dragons elduari are hidden, so thats what he's gonna go 4 in book 4

The old eldunari would probably be happy to know that in giving themselves to eragon, they would be contributing in defeating an evil tyrant. Though they will probably make him either carry them with him or bring them back immediatly after its over, because i remember oromis saying that some of the eldunaris wanted to travel around

I don't remember Oromis saying that, but Solembum said "When your power is insuffiecent, say your name to open the Vault of Souls." So he can only go when his power is insuffiecent and when he can find the Rock of Kuthian. Who ever said inside it was Eldunari's anyways?

I don't know about Eragon stealing the eldunari from Galbatorix... I've used this idea in my fanfic: during the war between the Elves and the Dragons, a lot of Dragons got killed. But since this was before the riders were formed, their eldunari was kept in a different place. Maybe one dragon, named Kuthian, was remembered more than anyone else and so the place where the eldunari were kept was called ''The Rock of Kuthian'', with a vault in it, called ''The Vault of Souls''.

If Eragon manages to steal these (assuming my theory is true), it will be a fairly equal contest between himself and Galbatorix. It would make for a fairly dramatic climax to the book

This is why I more or less think that Eragon won't steal whatever eldunari Galbatorix will have. Any takers?

Inheritanceluver12 is right, Solembum said that when he was low on power, go to the valt of souls. Maybe there are some in there, but if that's so then he won't need Galby's.

i don't know, but it's a pretty small chance that the VoS will contain enough eldunaris for eragon to beat galby unless galby has gotten old and decrepit

First: Oromis told Eragon that some of the dragons whose bodies had died, but their souls or whatever lived on in their Eldunari, got bored sometimes so they would travel around with another Rider and dragon.

Second: I think the new RoK idea is brilliant. Did you come up with that, Wrath?

Third: It sounds to me like the VoS is inside or around the RoK. So if Wrath is correct, there could be thousands of wild dragon Eldunari's inside. And wild dragons were more ferocious than bonded dragons, so what if they were marginally more powerful? I'm sure Eragon and Saphira could come up with something to entice them to help him.

this is technically off topic with the VoS or whatever, but the VoS is probably just an unlimited pool of energy that eragon can use whenever.

But then it would be called something like the Vault of Energy, not Souls. So it most likely has something to do with the Eldunari.

What if the VoS is where Galby keeps his Eldunari, and the only way you can open it is to tell it your tn. (It's possible, but I wonder how much energy it would take to create and use that spell.)

Eldunari's can give you energy if you know how to get the energy from them. I get the feeling that is what sj meant.

souls=unlimited energy

its not just people souls, its dragon souls in their eldunari. glaedr said, and elves proved, that when any living creature besides a dragon who has disgorged their eldunari, dies, their spirit dies too. when a dragon disgorges their eldunari their spirit is incremented in it.

@eragonrules: but who says the eldunari are going to be there? galby has most of them, so if the eldunari was what really was there, it wouldn't be enough to defeat galby

well they just left the eggs to the elves, but it's not like they ever talked with them, they probably couldn't even open their minds like riding dragons

Thats exactly what everyone in the books thinks, that they cant talk, when the elves formed the bond between themselves, it allowed all dragons and elves the ability of speech, oromis told eragon in training that the wild dragons would do something (that i cant remember right now) that allows an egg to hatch for the person of its choice, and usually over just one of them.
