Ka chuckled at her excitement. He found it amusing that she was so excited to go to a place most people take for granted. "Alright, lets go then..." He figured of Vermona or either of the were wolves wanted to come then they would. He left the inn, making sure Jia was with him, and headed ot the tavern. Before they went in, he turned to Jia. "Just so you know...most of these people are probably going to be loud, drunk, and obnoxious." He said, giving her a fair warning. He opened the door, and was instantly bombarded with loud yelling, the smell of alcohol, and the sound of one or two fights going on; pretty common stuff. He took her hand and guided her back to an empty corner, he sat facing the door with his back to the wall. "So, what would you like to drink?" He asked Jia.

OOC: just sayin' but the RP in Surda is kinda lonely lol...if you have time that is.

Jia eagerly followed after her Rider, slipping inside. She winced instinctively, but found that her ears weren't as sensitive as usual. For once she was glad. She looked at Ka in astonishment when he asked her what she wanted to drink. Her eyebrow rose,"Mead, I guess. I've tried beer before...Didn't work for me." she said, and shuddered. She hated the taste of beer, and highly doubted that its taste would change just because she was human. She looked around at the inside of the pub, her eyes widening as she observed the fights. Some were becoming quite brutal.

When the waiter came up, Ka ordered one mead and one water. He didn't like alcoholic drinks too much. When the waiter left, he watched Jia watch the fights. After a bit he said, "So what do you think so far?" Personally, Ka thought it was too crowded and too loud, but he wanted to see what Jia thought of it thus far.

Jia merely nodded once in agreement. When he beckoned her to leave, she drained the last of her mead and stood. She didn't notice that the boys' two companions, as well as the two from the man from earlier, stood with her. They shadowed just behind Ka until they came to an alley. The two bigger men jumped Ka to subdue him, pinning his arms behind him and pushing him into the ground. Jia started and spun on her heel, only to be met with a hand clamped over her mouth and surprisingly strong arms wound around her torso and pinned her arms to her sides. She wriggled and squirmed with the ferocity of her race, but with no leverage to swing around and nail her captor, she was helpless against both of them. They dragged her into the alley, slowly because of her struggles. The boy that held her pushed himself into the wall with her in front, freeing her legs. The second boy came forward, but she lashed out. He doubled over holding himself. Though she felt satisfaction rush through her at the blow, she still wasn't free. Though her attack had been vicious, the second boy quickly got up and came forward again. This time he managed to press against her, squeezing her between them.

She growled in her throat, rage pulsing through her, but her human body was acting strange. A shudder went down her spine. What was this? Curious despite herself, she let herself go lax. The boys felt the difference instantly. The hand over her mouth was removed and replaced by...what the? The boy in front of her was pressing his lips to hers. Her mind was bewildered by this. She went with it hesitantly, returning the 'kiss' lightly. The boys relaxed completely, freeing her arms in the process. That's when she struck. She dropped down on one foot and spun in a circle, driving both boys down onto their backs. She lashed out with her hand, catching both of their necks and knocking them out. Then she turned to Ka. Her expression was murderous, a clear warning to the two men holding her Rider.

OOC: well...looks like it's time for Ka to go into Rage Mode...I'll get the mop lol

Ka as too busy looking around the town at some shops they might want to visit tomorrow before they left, he didn't notice the 4 men sneaking up on them. Before he knew what was going on, he was on the ground, being held down by two large guys. He thrashed around but to no avail. The men held him fast, but only because he couldn't get his legs under him. He looked around for Jia, and when he saw her, a white rage filled his mind, body, and being. He now had absolutely no control over his actions. He was but a passenger in his own body; he was beyond the black out rage. He disappeared out from under the two men, who fell to the ground bewildered. He reappeared in his True Form, holding his scythe and garbed in a tattered black cloak; he had become the human's 'Grim Reaper'. His voice had changed as well, it was manical, and hissed, similar to a Ra'zak. "Soulsss...come unto me!" He cried, but only the two men could hear him, and at the time, see him. He lashed out with his scythe at the two petrified men, cutting them to ribbons. He didn't simply slice their throats, no, he sliced off arms, legs, head, and then sliced those into smaller pieces. He then made himself known to Jia and the two boys.

Up until this point, it would look as if Ka were still on the ground. Jia would even feel him as if he were on the ground. as soon as he made himself known though, he would disappear, and the men would suddenly be diced into small, bleeding chunks of meat. He stood behind the two knocked out boys, staring at Jia. his red eyes had turned white, and a shadow covered his face. He didn't say anything to her, but rather took the boys from her and carried them to the sky. He didn't want Jia to see what he was going to do, but by mistake, he placed himself in front of the moon, so she would be able to see a silhouette of what was happening. He impaled both boys on his scythe, the tip sticking out of the second boy's back with a gush of blood. He then pulled upward, and split them in half from the stomach up. As they fell, he swung several times, causing blood to rain down onto the chunks of men that had held Ka down. Once they too were nothing but scraps of meat did Ka let them fall the rest of the way to the ground. Where there were once men and boys, there was now blood and entrails. Ka, alighted to the ground, and walked over to Jia calmly and reached out to touch her arm, his appearance still that of his true nature.

He felt her lifting his hand and trace the silvery oval that represented their bond. It tickled, but he didnt pull away. They got to the inn in a few minuets. As they past the inn keeper, ka shot him a warning look that made him look down. Once upstairs, ka unlocked the door to vermonas room and went inside.

Ka nodded to vermona as he passed her. He was sure if she could smell the blood on his or not, but he figured he would be questioned later. He openex the side door to their room and released Jias hand. He took the cot, leaving the bed for her. "good night..." he said, he before quickly falling asleep

When Rathon returned, the King had forced him to relay the things he had seen. In doing so, he had told of Jia and Ka and the others. Rather than torture him as he would normally do, he had Rathon, escorted by Shruikan, Thorn, and Murtagh, go back to Ka and Jia and capture them and bring them to Uru'Baen. He was already half way to where he had last seen them.

Ka awoke early, a few hours after Jia finally fell asleep. He rose, and left without making a sound. He knew she was probably tied after all of the excitement of the day before. He went to the rooftop and sat in the chill morning air, listening to the sounds of a city that is also just waking up. It was peaceful enough, but he felt something, like the calm before the storm; too peaceful.

OOC: so will that be enough to capture Ka and Jia? xD

Jia opened her eyes sleepily, still half asleep. She groaned softly and sat up. Her body was saying 'get up', but her brain was saying 'go back to sleep'. She decided to ignore her brain and swung her feet out of the floor, slowly easing out of bed. She went to the window, letting the sharp bitterness of the morning chill wash over her face and wake her up. She stretched and yawned, then sat on the windowsill sideways with one leg hanging down. The town was quite peaceful. But something in her subconscious mind was restless, saying this peace couldn't be trusted. Her link with told her that Ka was above her on the roof. She leaned out and looked up, just catching sight of the edge of his shoe. She smiled and grasped the edge of the roof to swing herself up. Once up she padded the few paces to her Rider and sat down beside him. Do you feel it too? she asked him, looking at up him.

Ka nodded "Yes, I guess that would be a bit odd wouldn't it?" He said, chuckling as well. "Alright, most of the shops don't open until later. Now, what to do till then..." He said, scratching his chin.

Jia chuckled, her eyes twinkling. She pursed her lips at his idle comment on what they could do until the shops open. Suddenly her teal eyes turned mischievous. She got to her feet and sauntered closer to him, a quirk at the corner of her mouth. Then she sprang forward toward him, tapping him lightly on the shoulder. Your it! she exclaimed, and laughed once before she nimbly danced away, leaping gracefully onto a neighboring roof. She turned back and stuck her tongue out playfully at her Rider.

lol Nice. Which one is she showing you?

Ka saw her coming, but wasn't quiet fast enough to dodge, plus he didn't want her to fall forward and hurt herself. When she tagged him and ran, he slowly stood and watched her guessing where she would go and figuring out her pattern. Once he had it, he teleported to an ally way that he knew she was going to drop into. She did, and landed in front of him. "You're it.." He said smugly, tagging her shoulder. He then teleported outside of the city. "Haha, come catch me now!" He teased, and waited for her on a rock.

By this time, Thorn and Shruikan could see the town. Murtagh could see it faintly, and Rathon didn't care enough to look. Murtagh looked down at the Reaper that was using a seal to fly to the bottom left of him, in between the black and red dragon. "Do it now, before we are within range and they feel us coming." Muratgh commanded. He had been put in charge of the mission to ensure it's success. Rathon shuddered, but was bound to do what he said. He made a Void Seal of Concealment. This would hide everything about them from unwanted eyes. Their sight, smell, sound, and even minds, would be hidden from anyone that wasn't in thier group until Rathon lifted the seal; more specifically, Ka and Jia.

Ka could feel her getting closer as she came out of the city. He saw her come out the gate and put on a burst of speed. When she got to within a yard of him he realized she wasn't slowing down. He scrambled to get out of the way, but once again, she managed to knock him over. At her comment he grinned. "To play fair there has to be rules..." He said, and teleported to sitting on top of her. "And as far as I know, there are no rules against teleportation." He poked her head a few times, since he doubted she could move and saw this as a perfect time to annoy her a bit, just for fun.

The group was now just half a league away from Ka and Jia, made even closer by their venture out of the city. It didn't take long for them to reach the pair, once they had they descended and boxed Rider and Dragon in. Rathon was across from Murtagh, and Thorn was across from Shruikan. Once they were situated, Rathon removed the seal and revealed them all to Ka and Jia.

As soon as the four landed, Ka knew something was wrong. He couldn't feel, see, or hear anything but he knew something was wrong. When they revealed themselves, his blood ran cold. He quickly rolled off of Jia and helped her up. He crouched low and drew his sword. Murtagh held up his hand. "Don't try and fight us all, you know you won't win. Just come with us...and we won't hurt you..." Although it was obvious that he wanted to. Ka looked to Jia, trying to contain his panic.

Rathon noticed the girl standing behind Ka. He hadn't seen her before becasue he was too busy hating this mission. When she spoke up, he looked at her with a slightly confused expression. Before he could ask her who she was, the two dragons and the rider laughed. Thorn spoke, "Do not try and fool us, Jia, you may mask your appearance, but you still smell the same. So don't even try it." Rathon grimaced when he realized who it was, and that he hadn't noticed that the large golden dragoness that was normally with Ka wasn't here; he really was slipping.

Ka looked back at Jia when she posed her question. He had hoped the same as her, that they wouldn't know who she was. When they laughed, and said she smelled the same, Ka got an idea. "That's because I let her ride with me on Jia. This is Lyra, my girl friend, and she has nothing to do with this! So let her go...." He hoped this would work. He used a void seal barrier to block their minds so that the three wouldn't be able to check for the truth. He felt Murtagh jab at his mind, but slip off the seal. He then felt Thorn and Shruikan jab and the seal vibrated, but held. "Just take my word for it. Have you ever heard of a magic that can make a dragon change form? The amount of power that would take is more than I or Jia, if this was her, have. This is not Jia, so let her go..." He pleaded once more, and Thorn, who was closest to Jia, stepped to the left to let her threw. "Hurry up, before I change my mind. He growled.

Ka kicked himself for not telling her how to break the seal herself, a mistake he wouldn't make again. He was about to tell her how, but she blocked him from her mind. He had been in the middle of trying to figure out a way they could escape unharmed, when a sudden kiss interrupted his thoughts. He was surprised to see that it was Jia, although who else it could have been he didn't know. IT felt just as strange to him as it did to Jia, as his love for her went as far as his love for Rathon, but maybe a little more in her case. He listened, to what she said and sighed lightly. He knew that she wouldn't let him be handed over to the Empire, but he had tried.

Thorn stepped back into the circle. "Very well then...it is your funeral." He motioned to a thoroughly surprised Rathon to bind them. Rathon had never thought that Ka would find a girl friend, much less one as pretty as the one he had. He nodded at Thorn and used complicated seals to bind their hands and feet together. Once they were bound, Murtagh walked over, picked up Jia and tossed her onto Shruikan's neck like a dead deer and tied her to him. He repeated the process with Ka. Once they were both tied and ready for travel, he mounted Thorn and the group took off with their prisoners, heading for the Uru,Baen.

Ka was shocked at first at the images that Jia sent him, but he soon understood. This was their story if anyone asked where she was. "Alright..." Was his simple reply. He continued to ride in silence. After a few hours of constant flying they stopped to rest in a small clearing next to a river. Although Shruikan was strong, it had been a while since he had had a rider, much less two. When they landed, Shruikan tilted so that Ka and Jia simply fell off of him. Ka landed on his back with a small groan. He struggled to sit up. A little ways away, Murtagh was leaned up against Thorn, eating something and Rathon was sitting in a tree, eating as well. Ka's stomach growled and he realized that neither he nor Jia had eaten anything since they got up that morning, but he wasn't about to ask any of them for food.

OOC: if you want, you can take over one of the other charterers like Shruikan or Thorn or Murtagh...

Jia nodded slightly to let him know she heard, then contented herself with waiting. She had pretty much fallen asleep when she was jolted from landing. She hit the ground with a dull thud as Shruikan tilted to the side. She grunted and wriggled around until she was sitting up. Her cheeks flushed deep scarlet when she found her skirt hiked up around her thighs. She struggled with her bound hands to pull the skirt down to her ankles. She finally succeeded with that and pulled her legs to her chest, draping her arms over her knees. Her ears pricked when she heard Ka's stomach rumble. She smirked, then her own growled harshly. She winced.

If you want me to, I guess I could. Who do you want to keep?

OOC: it doesn't matter to me, I was gonna let you choose who you took over...

Ka looked over at Jia when he heard her stomach rumble. He wasn't going to ask for food for him, but Jia was a different matter. He saw that Murtagh was now eating some meat that he had brought, and figured he might as well try. "Murtagh...Lyra hasn't eaten all day. Wouldyou be so kind as to give her some of your food?" He knew that Jia wouldn't like him begging the enemy for food for her, but it wouldn't do if she was hungry and didn't have the energy to escape when they needed to; Ka was used to being hungry. Murtagh looked up at Ka when he spoke, and then back down at his meat. He had about three pieces left, he could spare one. "If she didn't look so good, or was involved with the Varden I would kick you both in the face for even thinking to ask..." He thought to only Ka, who shared this with Jia. Murtagh walked over and put a piece of meat at her mouth. "Open up..." He growled more than said.

Murtagh smiled at Jia's compliment, his temperament toward her seeming to change completely. "You know, Ka, I can see the attraction you have toward this one." He pet her cheek lightly. "She pretty and respectful, not at all like that ignorant, ugly, drag-" He couldn't say any more, because as soon as Ka realized her was talking bad about Jia, He had teleported behind him, wrapped his bound hands around his neck,and got him in a semi-head lock. It wasn't perfect, but it was enough to stop his from breathing. "One of you get him off me!" Muratgh called to the other two dragons. Shruikan looked over from cleaning his scales, saw what was going on, snorted, and returned to cleaning.

Jia managed to wrestle back the instinct to recoil as Murtagh stroked her cheek. She winced visibly when the red Rider insulted her. Or her in draconic form, at least. She was startled at how violently and and quickly Ka reacted. She was stunned for a few moments, then she tried to stand, forgetting that her feet were bound. She struggled onto her knees as Murtagh called to his companion. She waved to the red male urgently, shaking her head,"Don't, Thorn! You'll only make him angrier!" she cried. The male froze, his body shaking, gaze never once leaving his Rider. She whipped her head around to Rathon, her eyes wild,"Please, sir, release my feet so I may go to him. Please!" she begged, her gaze flicking from him to Ka frantically.

OOC: I'ma skip the flying bit and just go straight to Uru'Baen...

The flight to Uru'Baen went rather boringly, so they made it just before night fall. They landed inside the city, on a raised platform that seemed to have been made for dragon's to lan on or take off from. Once they landed, Ka and Jia were loaded into a black jail wagon that had bars on the windows. The wagon took them to the Citadel where Galbatorix stayed, or behind it rather. They were let out by a large man that was covered in blood and holding a blooding knife. He didn't say anything, but rather pushed them toward a door that was also covered in blood. As soon as the door opened, the sounds and smells of death wafted out, making Ka gag. They proceeded inside and were lead to a cell and pushed inside; there was remains of something in the corner. Ka sat down on the floor and rested his head on his knees, remaining silent.

Ka had begun slipping into a daze when Jia spoke to him. "Hm? Yes, I'm fine..." He said, but didn't mean it. A second later, the man came back and looked threw the bars on the door. "The King wants to see you both..." Ka felt a pit grow in his stomach as he rose and waited for the man to open the door. Once it was unlocked, Ka began walking, unsure if Jia was still following.

OOC: you can take us to the throne room so that you're not waiting on me.

Jia remained silent. Until she was forced into her draconic form. She stumbled briefly, becoming used to four legs, wings, and a tail once again. She didn't have much time to reorient herself. She was still trying to readjust to her keen vision when her wings were pinned to her sides and her paws tied together. She struggled and wrestled as she was pulled away, but it made no difference. Ka! she cried as she was forcibly dragged away.

Time ceased to matter as she was beaten, tortured, sliced, cut, and practiced on. All she knew was that after an eternity went by, the pain stopped. She didn't even feel any more. She was just numb from snout to tail. When she was released after being drug a distance, she merely slumped onto her side. Her breathing was short and ragged, gurgling almost. She didn't even have the strength to open her eyes.

Ka looked around the throne room, although it was hard to see as both eyes were swollen, but he saw the man clear as day. He was a large man, wearing the black garb on an executioner and holding a large axe. Some one came out of no where and pulled Jia's neck out straight and held her head still. All of this was confusing for Ka. He wasn't sure if it was a dream again, or if it was real. The executioner lifted his axe and slowly walked towards Jia. A laugh came from the stone throne, "Any parting words dragon? Before you are taken form this world while your Rider watches?" Another cold laugh. Ka watched helplessly as the man raised the axe over Jia's head. As he let it drop, time seemed to slow down and Ka could see every detail. The flames from lanterns that reflected off of Jia's scales. Every rivulet of blood that covered her body in criss crossing patterns. The sweat on the executioner's brow. Everything was crystal to him as he watched the axe fall for Jia's neck. Suddenly, a flash of white light exploded out of now where. The light was so pure and bright that Ka thought he would go blind. He closed his eyes, but it didn't help. And then the light disappeared, as soon as it had come. Ka didn't dare open his eyes, as he thought that that had been the light of Jia dieing, but then he realized he could still feel her. Then, he noticed that he was no longer bound, nor was he in any pain. His eyes flew open and he saw that they were in an open field, somewhere in the Empire. All of their wounds had been healed and they had been saved. Ka blinked to make sure he wasn't dead as well and this was heaven, but when he did he saw an after image of something that had been burned into his eyes by the bright light. He blinked quickly, and gasp when he saw it was a Chaos seal. Someone had used a chaos seal, and this had been a random effect of it. He didn't care though, he quickly got up and ran over to Jia to make sure she was ok.

Ka nodded. He had never been to the Spine, at least, not that he knew of. He leaned against Jia, a feeling of rightness creeping over him. This was how it was supposed to be.

OOC: blah, short. any ideas?

Again she flinched when Ka leaned against her. She knew he would hurt her. She knew he wouldn't. Her body didn't. She also knew that it would take a few days for her to not cringe at his every touch. She didn't comment on it, simply lowered her head again into his lap and closed her eyes.

Ka had almost been asleep, when his stomach growled loudly. His face turned red, but he kept his eyes closed. He hadn't realized that he had been so hungry, since he had been in pain and all,until just then. "Uh, Jia? Would you mind finding some food please?" He asked hesitantly.

A little ways off, basking in the shadows, was a dull black dragon by the name of Xelin. He had been napping pleasantly when a sudden bright light had interrupted his dreams. He had tried to ignore it, but them he realized that the flash of light had made two things appear. He cracked an eye open and peered threw the under brush. He saw that the things were a dragon and what he guessed to be it's Rider. He watched them cower away from each other, and eventually come together, not really caring what they were doing, as long as they stayed there and didn't bother him.

OOC: then I guess Xelin should come and play then xD

When Jia mentioned a wild dragon, he looked around the tree line. He didn't see anything, but that didn't mean it wasn't there. "Alright, take your time..." He said cooly. He watched her take off and then looked back at the tree line. He blinked. He thought he had seen the edge of a wing, but it could have been a shadow. He wasn't sure, but didn't want to investigate.

Xelin watched the golden dragon leave, leaving her rider on the ground. He assumed she was going to go hunt, and would be back soon. He didn't know where she had gone, nor did he care. At the thought of hunting, or more directly, food, his stomach growled. It had been a while since he had hunted as well. He rolled over, flexing his wing as he did, and got up. He sniffed the air and caught a whiff of deer about a half a league away. He stayed on the ground, and quickly made his way to the deer. Unlike most dragons, he was almost has fast on his feet as he was in the air, and he wasn't clumsy either, but rather smooth and nimble. He reached the deer, unknowingly, about the same time Jia did. He didn't see her or smell her, so he began hunting. He quickly found the plumpest deer in the herd and stalked it, trying to steer the other deer away so that it was left by itself.
