Well, I figured the persimmon because the word means "fruit of the gods" and I heard it mentioned in the books somewhere. Nightmare because obviously the book is going to be generally somber in tone... a character death, and Eragon probably leaving at the end or something.

I like that ship idea, that's good. Maybe the elf tree will become "alive" again and they will use the tree to build the boat. Just a guess.

anyway, the name of the book has to be in the ancient language since the first two were in English and the third in the AL, just to make it even... i like even numbers.

but we don't know that it means anything in the AL anyway, what does it mean?

I have no idea. But the elves would have to have a very strong reason to defile the tree. Maybe the book will be named after the elf that the tree inhabits. you never know.

The name of the elf = Linnëa, you can find this name in "Eldest"

Legacy is a title that brings out the questions in a lot of people. Simple titles are always the best because it keeps you guessing so you have to read the book in order to find out the meaning of the word in the sense that the author uses it. I like that one.

Yes, but he didn't really become a full rider till he got his sword, so the next might be about how he is going to uphold the legacy.

or it could also be called something like offspring or generation because both of the sons of dragon riders became dragon riders, so if eragon has kids, they might become riders too.

Legacy is a very good idea. I mean, Eragon now holds the entire riders legacy and he will pass it all on to the next rider. Thats the best idea I think.

But I reckon that Murtagh will die. And if he doesnt, I just dont see him training the new dragon and rider, he will probably leave and never return aswell, or just keep to himself.

i thing to that mertahg will die and i thing that an egg that galpatorix have will hatch....for that reason i thing that the title of the new book is ''THE HATCH''

i agree with legacy becuase the whole series, you could argue the point that it is about eragon taking on the legacy of the dragon riders

well if he has the title picked out why doenst he share it, it would probly sate us over until release date

He probably hasn't come up with the name yet. From what he said about Brisingr it sounded like he picked the name pretty late on. Wish he had stuck to the 'e' thing. Then it could be Eragon, Eldest, Eldunari, and Empire.

in school, when ever i write a story, i dont make up a name until the very end... because i make it up as i go... it might be the same for him...

It is indeed better to make a story at the end because then it can reflect the main theme of the book.

Yes, but sooner or later we'll have discussed all the ideas and not be able to come up with new ones. That's what I'm worried about. If the title of book 4 came out however, that would lead to a whole other are of discussion.

no, I think Galby has all of the Eldunari's, but I think the Rock has souls of people.
