Every single person in the world.
And all I wish is that

Sad Song

In a colorless sky a single bird
Sang a sad, sweet song that was never heard.
Its soul had cried, its heart had tore
Looking for a life that was no more.


Why Me?

I lie still, deep in the dungeon.
Chains bind me to the dark, damp floor.
What heinous crime has brought me here,
Here in the room without a door?

Cold hands are pushing me to sleep.
I know neither gladness nor light.
I'm wondering if I'll survive
This dark, uncaring, lonely night.

An unseen voice speaks to me from
Some lightened place I sense is near.
"You'll be killed in an hour's time.
Savor your life while it's still here."

I know not time while I am still.
Deep in the dark I feel the shrouds.
Then I am pulled into the light
And set before unending crowds.

A man comes up hefting a sword.
"Now speak your last and say goodbye."
In the last seconds of my life
I let out a desperate cry:

"Why me?"


Any comments? Sorry, I usually write like a twenty poems every month but this year I have a lot of homework and I haven't really gotten around to writing poems. I'll add more if I get around to writing some.
