Post Kalo
Well, this is the promised character, my second evil charry and my first aligned with good-ol' Galby. 8) Hope you guys like him. (Oh and I Accept this myself).

Name: Kalo

Age: 32

Gender: male

Skills: Fighting: Kalo has been in training his entire life to serve Galbatorix, especially in the area of fighting. He has received more training in indirect fighting as an assassin, however. He is trained to be silent, and all his actions deadly. If necessary, he will not fight fair. He is a deadly enemy to those he is sent to kill, as he always makes sure to do his job as swiftly and effectively, and with as little notice, as possible.

Precision and Physical Power: Kalo’s extensive training has made him a strong flier, climber, and runner, with muscular limbs and honed movements. He does everything with precision and strength, and is known (at least to the other servants of the King) to be accurate, including with his ice breath (he can shoot an icy missile and hit a target as small as a human hand from over a thousand yards away).

Venomous Bite: Kalo has a potent venom that he releases when he bites a victim. It will kill a human, elf, dwarf, or other two-leg within an hour if left untreated, and a dragon within three hours (it is very difficult to heal with magic, and often healing would take too long and the venom beats the healing in the case of two-legs). There are a few natural plant-based remedies that can heal his bite, but these are not really known of because his venom is not based on any one original type of venom.

Acidic “Breath”: Kalo can spit acid (a variation of his venom) in the place of ice if he wishes, at different levels of potency. He can spit it in a tarry form that sticks and causes discomfort and slowed movement to his enemies, and this takes no effort. On the highest level of potency, he can spray acid in a very dangerous, burning form that will eat away and through anything, including dragon scale, but this takes much more energy (he needs to use magic to turn his venom into the acidic form).

Ice Breath: Kalo, being descended from ice and water dragons, breathes ice. He can freeze things, or send out a spray of razor-sharp ice-shards which can cut into flesh and cause frostbite to wounds. He is extremely accurate with his ice breath, and likes that it is more controlled and less destructive than fire.

Race: dragon

Hair: none

Eyes: pale, icy indigo

Home Village: egg was lain on islands to the north, was hatched in Uru’baen

Parents: Sriktilan (father) and Kialana (mother), both deceased

Siblings: Eccoriaktana (42, alive but whereabouts unknown to Kalo, believed dead), Reechani (13, alive and also being trained by Galbatorix), two unhatched eggs

Character Personality: Kalo is an intelligent dragon. He is accurate both physically and mentally, and speaks with great care (something he learned while being trained by Galbatorix and Shruikan). He is capable of solving complex problems and thinking on his feet, though he always plans carefully before doing anything important (for now this has only been during the King’s or Shruikan’s tests, but will translate to his missions). Despite Kalo’s calculating mind and stoic appearance, he does still have strong inner emotion. He believes that Galbatorix is doing what is necessary for peace and prosperity, and so he is doing what he thinks is right. He sticks to his beliefs (even if they have been twisted by the Mad King). He has morals, despite working for Galbatorix. If facing an enemy he feels is honorable enough (this would be in the future), Kalo will allow this enemy to die a noble death, with a fair fight. He dislikes having to use underhanded tactics to kill most enemies, but believes it is necessary. He is mostly driven by the desire to prove himself to Galbatorix and the other older servants of the King (especially the dragons Shruikan, Lean, and Keia), and the desire to serve as a good example for his younger sister Reechani. He wants to see her succeed, and he also wants to see his two youngest siblings succeed when they hatch. He desires to protect all of them as their older brother, and wants to keep them safe from torturing by Galbatorix (this is one reason he does whatever Galbatorix orders him to). He also greatly dislikes Thorn, who has constantly boasted of being Kalo’s better since virtually his birth, and Kalo wants to finish his final evaluation and go out on an actual mission to prove that he is better than the red-shrike-dragon.

Character History: Kalo’s egg was laid on a distant island in cold northern waters off the coast of the Spine, to loving ice/water dragon parents Kialana and Sriktilan. His egg dreams were filled with the knowledge of how to survive and how to move unseen in the land, and as time passed he even became aware of things going on outside his egg. He could hear whale and dragon song, and heard the hatching of his older sister Ecco. She spoke with him often, and he eventually started to want to hatch more and more, eager to play and explore the world with his sister. Unfortunately, on one quiet day, the peace was interrupted when his eggs were taken from the cave. Kalo heard great roars and fighting from outside, and knew that his parents were fighting to get him and his remaining siblings back. Eventually, the sounds of fighting ended and he merely felt a long period of rocking and the sound of waves echoed in his ears. Eventually this stopped when he was brought into Uru’baen to Galbatorix. The evil king worked intricate spells over Kalo’s egg, spells to give him his venomous bite and acidic breath, and also to increase the hardness of his scales without making them heavier (Kalo’s side and back scales can withstand the blow of a dwarf’s ax). After the spells were finished, Kalo felt comfortable hatching, as he still wanted to see the world and he felt safe. When he did, he was met with Galbatorix, who told him many things, among them the fact that pirates had killed his family and taken him and his siblings, but they had been stopped by Galbatorix’s men (who had supposedly saved Kalo and the others). After that, Kalo’s training began.

Galbatorix took a different approach to training Kalo than he did with most servants. Instead of torturing and trying to break him to force him into giving him his Eldunari, the King simply focused on brainwashing Kalo, teaching him his ways and instructing the young dragon that what he was doing was right. After Kalo learned of Galbatorix’s mission, he carried out his extensive training wholeheartedly, with all the effort he could muster. At the age of five, Shruikan took over most of his training, teaching Kalo the ways of fighting various enemies. Other teachers, including some of Galbatorix’s most notable assassins, taught Kalo in the ways of stealth and deadly attack. The young dragon occasionally “misbehaved” in a way that caused Galbatorix to “punish” him with pain, and of course he knew that most of the King’s subjects were subject to torture, so this acted as motivation for him. He continued honing his skills and was delighted when, at the age of nineteen, his sister Reechani hatched. Reechani’s egg had undergone even more extensive spells than his, and she was being brought up to be Galbatorix’s perfect weapon (Kalo had been almost more of a test). Kalo was driven further by the desire to be a good example for his sister, and at the age of twenty he gave Galbatorix his Eldunari willingly. He wanted to prove himself to the King, Shruikan, and the other more important servants and assassins. Not long ago, Thorn was hatched to the young rider Murtagh, and almost instantly became his namesake to Kalo. Despite the bronze’s greater age and standing, Thorn constantly berated him and bragged of being the better, more powerful dragon (though it really seemed to Kalo that Thorn was just a hurried attempt to make a much-needed soldier, because his own training was not yet finished). Thorn was a constant annoyance to Kalo, though, who only found peace when the red left on missions. Kalo knows that Thorn views him as a rival, someone to be bested and outdone at every turn possible, and tries to keep this from getting to him (sometimes unsuccessfully, to Galbatorix’s anger). Kalo recently finished all of his training, and was preparing for his final evaluation (after which he was told he could finally begin his missions).

Weapons: Kalo has the same natural weapons as other dragons: claws, teeth, tail, wings, and the rest of his body. He was trained by the assassins and Shruikan to use his entire body as a deadly weapon. He knows the best places to strike another to kill them the quickest. His claws and teeth are also magically sharper and stronger. He also has his breath weapons, the natural ice breath (which he has honed to near-perfection in accuracy), and the magical acidic breath (he is a little less accurate with this but still amazingly-so to observers). He has a venomous bite in addition. A few razor-sharp spikes and blades at the end of his tail complete his deadly appearance, and he even has a few small spines/spikes on the underside of his jaw and on the backs of his legs.

Likes: Darkness, cold, Galbatorix and the Empire, his teachers (especially the older dragons), his sister Reechani, his two unhatched siblings, accuracy and precision, training, and succeeding (in his eyes and the eyes of others).

Dislikes: Thorn, enemies of the Empire, failing his teachers or his sister, lack of accuracy, open areas, bright light, people (or dragons) who do things messily.

Weakness / Fear: Kalo cannot fly very well for long distances (he has had virtually no practice with this) nor can he keep up a fight as long as many other dragons (he is trained to defeat his enemies quickly). He doesn’t function well in high heat and his nerves get to him in bright, open spaces (so he is at a disadvantage). He is afraid of failure, especially of failing his sister, failing those he looks up to, and failing in his duty to the Empire.

Animal Companions: none

Character's Physical Description: Kalo is a muscular dragon, his muscles very toned and hardy from long practice and years of training. He is of about average size (his growth was not altered by Galbatorix). He has glittering, icy scales of pale bronze with streaks of pale, icy silver (like a paler version of Phalynx’s star-silver color). His spikes and spines are an even paler shade of glittering silver, almost like ice. His wings are clouded with very pale bronze and silver mixing together. His eyes are icy, pale indigo (an odd color) and are capable of a very deadly, piercing glare. The end of his tail is well-equipped, the spines running down his back getting sharper and longer and the tail itself ending with a curved, diamond/leaf-shaped razor-sharp blade. At the base of this blade (where it starts on his tail) are two long spines on the bottom and top of his tail, which are capable of great damage. This means his tail is capable of both puncturing and slicing.

Dreams for the Future: He wishes to finally go out on missions and prove himself capable to Galbatorix, Shruikan, and the rest of his teachers. He wishes to succeed in his duty to the Empire, and set a good example for Reechani. He wants to best Thorn and prove that he is better than the red.

Reason for Dreams: Kalo dislikes failure and wants his teachers and Galbatorix to trust him with important missions, as he wants to serve the Empire to the best of his ability. He cares greatly for his sister and wants her to succeed as well, and thinks that setting an example for her (as well as helping to train her) will be of the most benefit to her. He also dislikes Thorn greatly and is sick of the red’s assertions that he is better than Kalo. Kalo knows he is more capable than the growth-enhanced red dragon, and wants Thorn to know it too.

Alignment/side: with Galbatorix and the Empire

Haha thanks. I'm glad you think so. 8) lol We'll have to see what happens if (probably when) they meet. :) Also I wonder how he'll end up interacting with your Galby-aligned (or in Lean's case, kind of aligned) charries. Obviously he should have some rping time with them and perhaps Rathon's new charry. :D
