I reckon that the 3rd egg is in Helgrind and Galby is took it there to see if it hatches. The Ra'zac look after it and Arya eragon and roran try to kill the Ra'zac and get the egg. Arya and roran get captured as well then Eragon and Saphira rescue them and kill the Ra'zac.

I think this because in the return of the jedi Han is captive (like katrina) then leia is also caught and held captive (like arya would be) then luke rescues them ( eragon would do it) and leia and han are in love just like roran and katrina

I don't know, I don't think CP would use the Star Wars route. It was be too obvious and disappointing for us the reader. He would have changed the names and let the same situation stand. At least it would give me a bad taste for him to end his adventure like this. I think he has the creativity to give his story an unexpected twist that would make us remember the series for a long, long, long time.

that sounds somewhat right... and I thought maby that the egg was in Heldigrind, but how would Ayra and Roran get up to the top of Heldigrind? The book said that there was no way to get up there unless you had something to fly on.

Also, I thought that Eragon and Roran would go to Heldigrind because Eragon said he would help his brother. Then he would kill the Ra'zac and get Katrina and maby find the egg with it too. But... who knows?

Oh one more thing, if Mutagh got his egg to hatch in Ur'urbane, why/HOW would the egg now be in Heldigrind now? And Murtagh said that Galby found that the last dragon was a he in Eldest, so it seems that Galby just figured that out so it couldn't be in Heligrind.

i was about to say i didn't on the voter thing but than i thought about it and if CP is only makeing one more book so there needs to be a quick way to get the egg early so that the dragon dosn't hatch near the end where it would be useless (because of its age) but if in helgrind roran+eragon+birgit can go kill the razac and, since they would be in helgrind, steal the egg early in the book... so the dragon and it's rider can train a bit

You knwo, the might not be in heldigrind because I think the king is trying to Lure Roran and Eragon to Heldigrind so they will try to rescue katrina then galboritrux will be there (or Murtagh) then he will try to enroll Eragon in his services.

I agrre with roran stronghamer i think the egg is in helgrind. it makes sense because when thorn hatched for murtagh, galb y could have ordered murtagh to take the egg to helgrind.

It doesnt say if Galbotorix found the tunnel that Jeod stole the egg through.

I highly doubt it is in Helgrind for these reasons:

1. I dont think Galby would trust Raz'Ac with it.

2. It was told to ERAGON (A dragon rider who can defeat the Raz'ac) that the egg was so heavily guarded that it would be suicide to try and get it. And Jeod also mentioned that the Raz'ac cannot take on a rider in open combat.
