"Valkaria, look! Go stop her!" Genesei shouted frantically pointing out at the water. Anaron woke up with a large pain across his chest. He tried to move but his hands were bound by something and he knew better that to try to escape. He coould hardly see because his eyes were blurry with sleep but he saw Genesei motioing to the water and saw something very far. Re: Labyrnith Minerela ducked back underwater, swam a few feet, and popped back up again, shrieking happily. She then began swimming underwater and coming back up again at random intervals.
Valkaria watched in amazement as Minerela swam as if she'd been doing so for years. "I don't think she really needs help. I'm not sure if anyone who swims like that is even capable of drowning." Re: Labyrnith Anaron woke, this time he was fully awake, and he did what he usually did feel sorry for himself. He looked out and saw the little thing that Genesei was pointing at a while ago, it was a hatchling. He knew that he needed to help them hide her from the clutches of Galbatorix.
"Minerala, we need to leave now, but you will have more water to play in soon, I promise." Genesei said, stooping down to the little dragon's level. "Do you agree to go with us? Valkaria stared, puzzled, then understood. Of course, she's barely been alive for one hour. She's not even aware of anywhere but this island. "Minerela, there is more than just this island. Much, much more. Lots of other places and other people." Now it was Minerela's turn to stare. More places? More people How big was the world, anyway? The concept overwhelmed her. "Alright, i'll go. How far away is it?" It'll probably take about a day to reach the place i have in mind. It's not very much like here. There's ocean there, too, but there's also freshwater, water without salt. And there's forests and lots of animals. There aren't many animals here besides birds." Valkaria turned back toward Genesei. Re: Labyrnith Valkaria glanced over at the shade curiously. Who was he, anyway? "I'll go hunt." She said. She leapt into the sky.
Minerela listened. They were talking about eating. Valkaria was saying she would go hunt. Hunt. Could she hunt? Minerela splashed into the water to try. A few minutes later, Minerela was watching the fish when Valkaria landed back on the shore. "I found a deer." She said, dropping her catch. "I hunt, too!" Minerela said. She had discovered that the fish swam away when they saw her, so she created a block of ice and scrambled on top of it to watch. She had been watching one fish in particular that was lazily nibbling a bit of seawee dand suddenly, she dived into the water and caught it in her teeth. She scrambled back onto her ice block and dropped the fish. She patted it with a paw, wondering what it would taste like. She watched it for a moment and then, pretending to herself that it was still alive, struck at it with her paw and shredded it. Re: Labyrnith Genesei pulled out a small bread and a bit of cheese from her pack and walked over to Anaron. "Go hunt." she said to Chrysoprase and he left. Genesei sat next to Anaron and untied him. He sat up and rubbed his wrists and Genesei threw a pice of bread at him and he ate voraciously. She knew he had not eaten in days. "So where are you going now? I am leaving here but I am not telling you where I am off to." she said.
Anaron was still eating when Genesei began talking. He had no idea what to say, he had nowhere to go and he knew that wherever she went he would find her. " I will still find you." Anaron replied with a smirk. Re: Labyrnith Until a few moments ago, Minerela had not really been aware of the concept of eating, and therefore had not noticed her hunger. But after she began to eat the fish, she realized she was ravenous. The one small fish was not enough for her, so she caught another. She ate it, and then decided she wasn't hungry enough to dive in for another.
Now that her appetite had been satisfied, Minerela's mind wandered to other things. What would this new place be like? Valkaria said there was water without salt in it. That sounded to her like the water would be rather tasteless, but maybe it wouldn't. And how many trees would there be? There were barely half a dozen on the shore here. Maybe there would be twenty all in one place? Minerela stretched out on her ice block, lost in thought. Valkaria watched in amazement as Minerela watched the water, then dove down and came up with a fish. "I guess you can hunt for yourself, then." Valkaria said, eating her catch. "Genesei, you know that I can't stay for long, so umm I never do this but." and then he stopped and just touched her hand. Genesei did not know what was happening but she saw that he looked happy for the first time in about ten years. He hugged her and then ran out to the beach.

Minerela gazed up at Valkaria. Even when she was crouched down, it was several times her height up her back. Minerela flapped her wings cautiously. Nothing happened. She flapped her wings more vigorously. She rose several inches. Re: Labyrnith After Minerela had settled into place, Valkaria took off. "A hundred? We could probably take them if we had to, but it wouldn't be easy. I'd rather not. And we don't have just ourselves to defend, Minerela might get hurt. So we should definitely avoid them if possible." At Anaron's words, Valkaria swiveled her head around, eyes sparkling with humor. "Keep your eyes closed, then. We'll land very soon, they place i have in mind isn't far away."

Re: Labyrnith Anaron looked down and saw the island shrinking below him and he closed his eyes tightly. He began to think about Kate but then he shook off the thought and began to think about the future. He knew that soon he would have to leave Genesei again and go somewhere and hide. he had to change his personality so that his real name would change. Anaron knew that once he changed, and he got rid of the demons inside of him and he head one soul, his soul that he could be free. Free from the demons, free from the empire and free from his past.

Genesei focused on the land beneath her, and saw that they were almost near to the Spine. Her heart began to race and she looked doen at her forearm where a long scar resided.

Re: Labyrnith A few minutes passed in silence, then a small lake came into view. It sat beneath the sea and the spine, and was surrounded by trees. "Here we are." Valkaria said, landing on the west shore of the lake.
Minerela tumbled off Valkaria's back and looked around. A ways to her right she saw the sea, and on her left was the lake. The "water without salt" that Valkaria had spoken of. Somehow, Minerela didn't need to taste the water to confirm that is had no salt. She could sense the ocean to her right and the lake on her left, but somehow, the sense she was getting from the lake felt... Different. She went to the water splashed happily in the shallows. The water tasted very different, but not bland, as she'd expected. After a few minutes, she decided to go to the trees. She left the water and went to the closest tree. It was about fifteen feet tall, slender and graceful with silveryish leaves. Off to the side, she saw a tree that was completely different. It was bushy, and didn't have leaves at all. Its branches were covered in little green needles. She went to that tree and noticed a pleasant aroma enamating from it. She put her head closer and jerked back, yelping as the needles seemed to attack her nose. The graceful dragon landed and Anaron's eyes were closed tightly, Genesei tapped his shoulder and he opened his eyes and gingerly came off. He collapsed on the earth and and gave a quick smile, stood up and dusted his clothes off. "Genesei, I need to leave soon, but this time it's different, when I return, I'll be different. He said to her with is voice resonating deep within his chest. He looked intently at her and waited for ner reply.

Re: Labyrnith Genesei breathed depply and the fresh forest air filled her lungs. The scar on her forearm tingled as she rememberd how she got it. Quickly she perished the thought and turned aroung to see Minerala snorting after she walked into the tree full of pine needles. She chuckled and then thought about how they were going ot hide this dragon from the Empire.

Re: Labyrnith OOC: Do you think you could you have a little more action in your posts? More talking, or something like that? It's easier if i have something to reply to. A lot of the talking Genesei is doing is directed at Anaron, and Valkaria doesn't interfere in private conversations, so i have to just have Valkaria and Minerela talk with eachother.
Minerela examined the tree, and a thought entered her mind. If the needles weren't really sharp.... She carefully sniffed the needles. If they smelled so nice, what would they taste like? Minerela bit down on a few needles, yanking them off the tree-and spat them out. They actually tasted quite bitter, not what she'd expected. Becoming quite annoyed with the tree, she pulled a small branch to the ground and stomped on it, then her temper ebbed as quickly as it had flared and she yanked the branch off the tree and began cheerfully pulling it to bits. "Minerela?" She glanced up. "Could you make another block of ice?" "Sure!" She said, and went back to the lake. Minerela jumped into the lake and froze some of the water. Valkaria paid close attention as she did this and felt a surge of energy. "Is there anything else you can do with the water?"
Minerela thought about that. When Anaron had appeared, she had created the ice out of sheer reflex. She really wasn't sure what else she could do. But if she could create ice, she could probably destroy it, too... Minerela stared at the ice. It melted. "Well, i can make water warmer or colder. Oh, and i can sense if there's water nearby, and i know if it's saltwater or fresh. I'm not sure what else." She concentrated hard on water and suddenly noticed a water-sense above her. She looked up and noticed a cloud. Minerela scrambled to the bank, still staring at the cloud. An idea popped into her head and she concentrated on the cloud. Nothing happened. She concentrated harder and glared at the cloud. She was about to turn away in exasperation when she felt a drop of water land on her forehead. Minerela grinned in delight, then collapsed, exhausted. Valkaria stared in amazement as rain began falling around them, harder and harder. She glanced at Minerela. Her sudden exhaustion must have something to do with the abrupt rainfall, which was becoming torrential. Suddenly, Valkaria noticed the barest aqua glow surrounding Minerela. Searching her memories, Valkaria remembered seeing the same glow when she had created and melted the ice block. What if he was interrogated? What if the empire found out about the new dragon? Could she be uised for black magic? The thoughts raced through his mind and he felt upset. "Why don't you start by just flying? You've barely done any flying, so you'll probably be a little wobbly, but seeing how well you fly is a good place to start." Minerela jumped into the air and began flying, quite smoothly for a dragon who'd barely been in the air half a dozen times. Then suddenly, she executed a peculiar loop in the air, twisting around slightly as her wings briefly came together. They flew apart and her tail shot down, the entire movement propelling her abruptly upward. Valkaria stared in amazement as Minerela executed a move Valkaria had never seen before. "How did she do that?" She said, half to herself. Genesei chuckled and clapped, still not believing all of the things that this young dragon had accomplished. Then Genesei turned around, as if she was forgetting something. All of the noise was inaudible as she looked behind her and saw Anaron shuffling about in the dirt as a child would. "How are you feeling?" she asked while stooping to his level.
He nodded as is to say he was fine and then Genesei asked the inevitable. "When are you leaving?" "In a day or two." He answered without looking up. "I just did. Do you want to see me do it again?" And without waiting for an answer, Minerela repeated her twist, the action causing her to jump ten feet in the air in a second. She did it a few more times, gaining speed until she jumped twenty feet a second. Then she dropped down again. "I think your water dragon muscles allow you to do that. That wouldn't be possible for me. Why don't you keep flying?" Minerela immediately obliged, jumping back into the air.

If water dragon muscles are different then those of normal dragons, what else can i do? Minerela wondered. She did a few more up-loops till she was a few hundred feet in the air. Then an idea popped into her head: How quickly could she descend? She locked her wings and angled herself downwards, as if diving into the water. Chrysoprase stepped foward and bent his head down, nosing the hatchling. Is seemed as if they were speaking but Genesei could not hear. Chrysoprase flew up into the air with a jolt until he was a mere speck in the sky. He then dropped down with a thud and his tail flicked and he fixated on Minerala.

Re: Labyrnith "Or i could do this..." Minerela abruptly brought her wings together with a snap. She plummetted downward several feet until her wings pulled back out. Anyone directly beneath her who was smaller than herself and not strong enough to resist would be crushed. "Or this." She suddenly zipped forward a few feet, then began to tumble toward the earth. She twisted upside down and did the up-loop all at once, flinging all her paws up, claws unsheathed. The manuever would work to both attack anyone beneath her and befuddle with her speed and unfamiliar moves that would be impossible for a normal dragon. Then suddenly she zipped around behind Chrysoprase, playfully whacking his back leg with her muzzle.

Anaron ran as fast as he could and the wind whipped through his long hair. His feet hurt but he was not phased, he had to leave instantly. The trees seemed to come toward him as his speed increased. Within a half of an hour he was on the end of the Spine and he collapsed on the earth. Re: Labyrnith Valkaria sighed and stared up at the last streaks of color in the sky. Maybe it was time to sleep, but she wasn't tired. So she sat there until the moon rose, thinking about water dragons and underground desert labyrinths and islands just west of sharktooth and, eventually, about sleep.

Re: Labyrnith Genesei jumped up and was breathing heaviliy. She looked around, becuse she sensed danger but saw nothing. Nervously she got up to a sitting postion and waited for a few moments, looking around and finally she che crawled over to Chrysoprase and lay infront of his warm stomach, and fell asleep.

Re: Labyrnith As streaks blue began to creep into the sky on the edges, Valkaria glanced over to see Chrysopase stir, than go back to sleep, and grinned. "Come on, wake up. I'm going to go find some food." She said. Then she took off to find breakfast.
Suddenly, Valkaria's voice pierced a dream about playing in the ocean with fish that looked a lot like small, bright pink elephants. Minerela yawned, blinked, and looked around. Food. That word got through to her half-asleep brain. Minerela blinked again, her eyes opening all the way this time. Minerela decided she would try to hunt again, and stumbled sleepily over to the pond, made a sheet of ice, scrambled onto it-And almost instantly decided she was much to sleepy to hunt. She called out to Felicity again and then she saw a little speck in the sky that came closer and closer. "What do you want? I heard you the first time!" Felicity said rustling her feathers as she landed. "Good day to you to Felicity."Genesei said "We are leaving soon and I will need you to keep and eye out for us. You can stay a while because Chrysoprase and Valkaria are returning with food."

Re: Labyrnith Valkaria flew around for a few minutes, then, catching sight of a herd of deer, swooped down, caught one, and broke its neck. She picked up her kill, took off again, and looked around. Off to the side, there were several rabbits. Valkaria swooped down, killed four of them with a se=weep of one claw, and ate to of them to sate her appetite. She took off again and began heading back toward the camp.

Re: Labyrnith Chrysoprase caught a couple rabbits in his mouth and couldn't help but eat them, he ran after a deer and ate it whole. Knowing that Felicity loved eating rabbits, he caught two in his claws, tightened his claws and killed them. He swooped down to the camp and dropped them off. "Genesei, I'll be back with some fruits for you." Chrysoprase said and flew back into the forest for soem apples.

Re: Labyrnith Valkaria caught another rabbit, then, realizing that Genesei already had food and the rabbits would be plenty for Minerela, she ate the deer. A couple minutes later, she landed back in the camp. "Still sleeping, Minerela?" She called to the tiny, sleepy-eyed dragon still half-in, half out of the water. "Here. These are for you." She said, and dropped the rabbits on the sheet of ice.
"To early to be awake." Minerela said, then added, "Thanks," as the rabbits landed next to her head. She scrambled the rest of the way onto the ice and ate two of the rabbits. "I am up, you over-sized lizard!" Genesei exclaimed rubbing her head and scowing at the dragon. He landed and folded in his large, shimmery white wings. "Good morning hatchling."
