Could Murtagh and Thorn become good? It was just a thought because in book two, Eldest, Eragon told Murtagh if he changes his character his true name would change and he would be free again. So maybe he does do what Eragon says and then helps him to kill Galbatorix.

I think it would take quite a bit to do that if only because galby has them not only because of there names, but i bet he might have made thorn disgorge his HOH as insurance.

Your probably right, Galby would have probably done something that might make Murtagh and Thorn die maybe, if he canges his true name. I'm not to sure though. Eragon seemed very sure when he said to Murtagh if changes his character he would be free of Galby.

Mutagh waz put under a spell in the thered one so the king must die first. Or his true name could change posibly ether way Eragon is going to need a lot of help from some one.

Yeah, in the end though I think Murtagh will escape, either that or he'll die - and he's my favourite character!
